“Very polite staff. I wish I'd caught her name, because our server was so sweet when I sent back the Jellyfish salad and she let me sub it for eel. There wasn't anything wrong with the jellyfish - it was well put together, and if you like spicy, tangy seafood dishes, then PLEASE give it a try.The eel was phenomenal, though. Sweet and savory, it practically melts in your mouth, and it goes very well with the caramelized onions. If you were our waitress and you see this, I was a little too shy to thank you as much as I wanted to. I really appreciated your patience and kindness. We were the fourtop in the booth right by the door.“

It’s a neighborhood gem and one of Austin’s best restaurants — both for its excellent wine list (Underdog is great for a stop-in just to have a glass or a bottle) with friends and for its excellent Korean food. On my last visit, I ate alone at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed mandu dumplings, Asian pear kimchi and a tremendous pork tonkstsu. Owner Richard guided me to a terrific bottle of wine to complement the set. It was a terrific evening. Great food / great wine / warm service / lovely atmosphere…Underdog has it all. Absolutely delicious food.I tried K-pop chicken and spicy chicken both and it was YUM.Taste -> delicious ?Price -> moderateQuality -> FRESHoverall -> 5/5FYI: They are lil expensive compared to chipotle and fire bowl cafe bowls etc but it’s worth I guess for chicken ? ? bowls“

“My family and I ordered the katsu combo and the beef donburi bowl. The katsu and fries were tender and crispy, the beef donburi was perfect, it had rice, salad, and beef enough for two people. The large food portion compared to the price was crazy.“

“This place is located in the food court in HMart. While it can get hectic there, the food is the perfect place for some Korean comfort food!I might have come on an off day, but the service was really slow. They left out a sign saying "Be back in 15 minutes" but I waited over 30 minutes before I could order. That aside though, the seafood soondubu jigae was so delicious!! The mild spice was a bit spicier than most other places I've had, but it was good with the rice. The broth was perfectly flavored and there was so much soft tofu. I think this would have been perfect with an egg. But even so, this was one of the tastiest soondubus I've had!“
