“Only sushi spot open later than your moms house (ooooooooooooo) great sushi, people are really nice. I wouldn't say go here as your first option for sushi, but definitely try it out if you're craving some and you're just in the area. Opened pretty new so everything's nice and shiny. Overall a good spot, not the best but definitely does the job.“

“Truly great omokase experience. Presentation and atmosphere of the dining area and lobby are pristine. You feel the focus is on the chef as he prepares your food. The sushi rice is some of the best I've ever had as well as the entire menu selection for the night. Would highly recommend as a go to sushi spot for a special occasion.“

“The service is top notch from the moment you walk in the door! We were greeted with a warm welcome including a choice between sake and sparkling wine while we mingled and awaited our seating. The food repeatedly left me speechless and, combined with the service, is WELL worth the already reasonable price. The owner himself along with his additional chefs and wait staff were happy to chat with throughout our meal truly making it feel as if you’re dining with friends. This is the best sushi I have had outside of Japan and I already can’t wait to go back! 10/10 would recommend!“

“It felt like a very authentic Japanese experience. I found the Sushi and Sashimi to be top notch. The lamb chops were quite juicy. Service was attentive and the ambience was, as expected, minimalist. It could be made better if the menus were easier to read. I found the font size for the descriptions to be too small. Also, the acoustics in the restaurant made for a loud experience. It can get very loud with just a few tables being served. I would definitely go there again.“

“Namo restaurant exceeded our expectations from the moment we stepped through the door. Speaking of the door, it was truly spectacular, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. But the excellence didn't stop there. Our waiter, Jay, was nothing short of incredible. He not only took care of our every need but also went above and beyond in explaining the menu, ensuring we made the most out of our dining choices. His knowledge and passion for the cuisine truly enhanced our meal. From start to finish, every aspect of our visit was flawless, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit. Namo has undoubtedly earned a spot on our list of favorite dining spots, and we can't wait to return for another amazing time!“

“Casual elegance in a relaxed, uncrowded setting of about 18 seats. A diverse selection of nigiri and sushi and hand rolls. Items are ordered and prepared individually, making the dining pace just right. The hamachili, a wonderful pairing of yellowtail, pear and ponzu is beautifully presented with just the right amount of spice. The salmon belly melts in your mouth. Will be returning soon!“

“Food and service was excellent. Popped into this spot having no idea. Exceeded expectations. This was the best and freshest sushi I've had in Dallas. I haven't had sushi this delicious since visiting Japan. Yes, it is not the least expensive spot, but you are paying for quality. So just know it's a pricey dinner before going to manage expectations.“

“The sushi at this restaurant is excellent and very fresh. I highly recommend trying their specialty rolls, particularly the Burn Your Stomach roll. It has the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The lychee margarita is also a must-try. However, the service can be slow as there appears to be only one server and a host. If you are very hungry, I suggest sitting at the bar for faster service. Despite this, it remains one of my favorite sushi spots.“

“This place stands out amongst a sea of disappointing sushi joints in DFW that serve westernized "rolls" drenched in spicy mayo and eel sauce, masking the lack of fish quality. Great ambiance, service, and most importantly, food. Tried ~8 of their handrolls, all of which were fantastic. Started off with one of their combos which was comprised of more simple handrolls (salmon avocado, yellowtail scallion, etc) where the quality of fish stood out; then moved onto handrolls such as with a bit more depth which were also very good. I felt that sauces used in these rolls were relatively sophisticated. Vegetable tempura plate was notable as well - extra crispy & reminiscent of tempura sold in the far east. Appreciated the head chef and waitress who made the experience even more enjoyable.“

“My family had recommended this place and I'm sure glad they did. The food was Delicious. The presentation was out of this world! I would definitely recommend the Toffee ice cream desert. The atmosphere is nice. There are a lot of regulars that come here. They all talk to each other and the workers as if they were one family. I even took sake shots with the customer sitting next to me at the sushi bar. Mark the Chef, did stunning work on preparing the sushi. Patrick the server, was quick to respond. He was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking to him. After my visit, I'd say this is top 3 on my list of best gourmet sushi that I have visited! Can't Wait for my next visit!“

“Top notch! I came in at 3:30pm during a weekday so if it's that fresh during those dead hours I would think it's just as good during peak hours. This is some really good sushi! Very fresh salmon sashimi, the woman at the counter is very sweet and attentive, and I've felt some real VIP experience eating there. 14 bucks well spent I believe!Vegetarian options: Vegan cream cheese when indicatedParking: Restaurant parking is clearly labeled for the restaurant.“

“I celebrated my birthday here after a quick visit to Dallas for the eclipse. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. We started off with a few items off the happy hour menu and then finished off with a couple of dishes from the main menu. The stars were definitely the scallop, the pork jowl, and the hama chili. The desserts were also lovely. We had the cheesecake and the trio of sorbets. Everything was absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in town!“

“FOOD - Truffle Salmon - The salmon was fresh and torched. There were wasabi sprouts on top and drizzled with both hot sesame oil and truffle ponzu sauce. The dish looks amazing and also tastes so good. The sauce had this zesty flavor that went super well with the char/flamed taste. - Itchy Salmon - Also super good with charred flavor. The dish is spicy crab meat topped with salmon, cilantro, pepper, and sauce. The spicy crab mix is so creamy and it melts in your mouth. - Godzilla Bomb Roll - Tempura Blue Kani, Bigeye tuna, and yellowtail with also pepper and togarashi. The roll was crunchy on the bottom and very spicy on the top. It was also super creamy and yummy. On a side note, the ginger is a lot fresher. It's not as marinated as other places but that gives it a fresh essence. They also have thicker cuts of ginger. Overall, the fish and ingredients are all super high quality with great flavor. On the more expensive side but you are definitely getting your money's worth. VIBES The vibe is more upscale casual. There were a lot of couples there. My friend and I came at around 3:50 PM and it was not that crowded. They have two sides of seating, bar seating, and also patio seating. Decorations were so pretty with a bunch of lanterns and more modernized traditional Japanese look. The chopsticks were also really nice. SERVICE Service was great! The guy gave us amazing recommendations, was patient with us and checked on us a lot.“

“Very good food loved everything we ate. The downside which ultimately ruined the experience was that the table next to us was overly belligerent and loud. Excessively drunk and continued to be served alcohol though they were obviously intoxicated beyond the point of being just drunk. It pretty much ruined the atmosphere of the restaurant as the entire place was soooo loud and then paired with the obnoxious music in the background it was not an atmosphere I enjoyed. Especially the over-served guests next to our table, as it was completely annoying the entire time. Servers need to know when to cut off people who are overly drunk as it ruins other guests experiences and also endangers the community. Management needs to do better training their staff about over serving, what it looks and smells like, and maybe the server didn’t have the proper training or licensure to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the guests they serve. Overall would not return for dinner as the experience was lacking nuance and care as well as the issue with the drunks next to us.“

“First time to Asian Mint. 4 & 1/2 stars. All 4 of us really enjoyed our food selections. The restaurant was clean , bright , and decor was nice. Pleasantly surprised with flowers outside and inside. Restaurant was busy 1:00 Sunday . Plenty of waiters and kitchen run well . Our food : Crispy Red Snapper with broccoli , baby bock-choy , and red bell pepper. Grilled Salmon with teriyaki sauce, broccoli and rice . Pad See lew. wide rice noodle, black soy, egg, broccoli and bok choy. My choice was Asian vegetables Stir fry with Bok choy, cabbage , carrot, snap peas, mushrooms, white onion , green onion, and bamboo shoots . I chose the white meat chicken which was very tender and the sauce was light with a lots of flavor . Very large portion . Leftovers ! This is the first Asian restaurant that truly satisfied my love of vegetables . We did have the green tea ice crème cake. Cake tastes a little like matcha . It was large slice for 4. Planning to go back again very soon. Food was very fresh and not hidden with too much soy sauce. Fish was fresh not fishy . They have good Asian beer choices and the ice tea unsweetened Passion berry is really good . Looks like they have a few locations as well . The Forest lane one“

“My friend and I wandered in for a late meal after a full day of exploring the city and enjoying the Deep Ellum art fair we were lucky enough to coincide with, completely unaware we were embarking upon an unforgettable evening of incredible food and impeccable service. My companion enjoyed various a la carte selections, whereas I decided to trust the menu and ordered the Hungry tier set menu. The first bite was insane - the king salmon hand roll changed my life forever. The spicy tuna was equally delightful. There wasn’t a bad bite. Everything on the menu is thoughtfully composed, and the chefs are artists. I loved watching them take their time to craft precise bites. Our host for the evening was Jonathan, who achieved immortality in our hearts with his easy grace and hospitality. We were treated with such kindness, interest, and care. This place is perfection for one or two people looking to have a delightful, easeful experience. The strawberry crepe cake was a lovely light sweet ending for a lovely light sweet experience. If I’m ever in Dallas again, I will make a point of stopping in for another joyous evening.“

“I was surprised by the size of nigiris. The fish was big covering entire rice and also fresh. Yellowtail wasn't the fattest part but still enjoyed it. The pick up was easy and they also provided free ponzu upon request. I ordered two rolls (I believe were called Samurai and crunch crab). The Samurai roll was tasty but the crunch crab roll was only ok. I would like to dine in next time to have my rolls and sushi more fresh. Definitely will be go to sushi restaurant.“

“I have an admission to make. I don't eat seafood. BUT I like non-seafood sushi and Japanese cuisine in general. So I was thrilled when I saw their vegan sushi menu! I've tried several rolls, and they are all delicious. Shiitake to me is probably my favorite. Their tomago and inari are fine as well. You MUST try their lemon miso brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts aren't burnt and the lemon miso sauce is amazing. I order it each time I dine here, and I still haven't gotten tired of it. The chicken wraps are tasty as well. My friend, who actually eats fish, says that their toro is very good and overall fish quality is fine too.“

“At home omakase - highly recommend. I was blown away by 1) the professionalism of Chef Han - from his punctuality to washing his hands first before he went right to work. Hygiene is big for us. 2) the quality of the sushi - every bite bursted with flavor and each course tasted so fresh which I didn't expect at all. Also the way Chef Han paired the sushi with just the right amount of seasoning and toppings was truly chef's kiss. I would say the 18 course omakase was pretty on par with some of the top sushi restaurants we've had in Dallas, if not better than some. Better yet, it's hard to beat having restaurant quality omakase in the comforts of your own home. Can't wait for the next at home omakase experience! Mind blown!“
