“My wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary every year on June 28th. We make our reservation for table 6. The receptionist was on target and very polite in showing my wife and I to our awaited table. Our server was Alizah, excellent service with a smile, attentive to our requests, expedient service. We started out with the bread and olive oil, excellent Pina Colada and wine. Our annual appetizer order of three cheese bread with crab spinach dip. Main Entrees was the 5 crab stuffed shrimp with fresh asparagus for my wife. I had the grilled redfish, shrimp, scallops with asparagus, steamed squash, zucchini. We were savoring every bite!!!! To finalize, Alizah had brought us a complimentary cheesecake dessert with cherry flavor Happy Anniversary scribed for a great photo opportunity. We received our bill, very comfortable with cost, recommended 20% gratuity, plus a $2.00 bill for our server attendant and the chef for mucho Suerte and Pura Vida !!!!”

“So incredibly yummy!! Korean style & Dirty South catch of the day tacos, side of bok choy & onion rings with curry ketchup. My husband spied another customer having the Vietnamese wings & had to order some. Pineapple verde cocktail was also refreshing & delicious! Fish Company Taco is a breath of fresh air amongst the many southern seafood restaurants in Galveston! And might I mention very affordable!!”

From the spicy cucumber cocktail, plantains with chhimichurri, sour dough bread, empanadas appetizer, grilled snapper entre and bread pudding / cuatro leches dessert, each course could not be beat! We were staying at another resort and had no way to take home the leftovers. Our waiter, Ricardo, was absolutely amazing. He made everything so wonderful. My only complaint, which is huge, is about the majority of the clientele. Loud, obnoxious, men wearing backwards caps and shorts in a very elegant atmosphere. When i go to a rather expensive restaurant, I would expect to see better behavior. So many were acting like it was a sports bar.”

“Sally was excellent on a very packed environment on the evening of 9/13/25. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary. We had wine from the bar while waiting. We ordered delicious Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. I had the tile fish on the special menu and my husband had fried shrimp. Both entrees were very good and served hot! Sally assisted us with leftover boxes. She has great people skills and her smile is so warm!”

I couldn’t decide which type of mussels—fra diablo or the pesto chardonnay—so I ordered them both. I was not disappointed. Ask for the garlic bread. OMG. Chef Megan and Brenna took great care of us. It was nice to see David too! 10 out of 10 for food, service, and company.”

We had the Artichoke Dip, Smoked Brisket Banh Mi and Ship Wreck Pad Thai with shrimp, and we couldn’t be happier after a day on the beach and needing a delicious, fresh meal. The food is full of flavor and the service was just as good. Will definitely be coming back!”

“The hospitality was superb! The beer was fabulous! If you’re not a beer drinker, they have wine as well. If you need a snack or anything to eat, just order it from Coastal Grill across the street and they will deliver it. We will definitely be going back and I recommend this to anyone.”

“Bhji absolutely made our experience at this pub. We will definitely be back just because of him. First off the pub is just sooo cool. There is sooo much to look at. He introduced me to a new way to drink my dirty Shirley & he made my 3 daughters the real Shirley temple drinks the way she had them. Which I never knew & I grew up drinking them in WI! He let us go in the bottom part of the pub and showed us the water line from hurricane Ike in 2008 which was just mind blowing to see how high the water was. 10000/10 recommend this place and have a conversation with Bhji!”

Sitting there, stuffing my face with fried shrimp while the sky turned shades of pink and orange, I felt like I’d hit the jackpot of simple pleasures. ALL of the island/port/industrial vibes are there from the pipe/edison bulb fixtures to the numerous thriving plants. 🚨I ordered my usual “hi! Ive never been here before, so will you please surprise me? I drink decaf, iced beverages, with non-dairy creamer.. i have no allergies and i love everything!” (Believe it or not i can tell if im going to get a good drink or not based on the barista’s reaction to this order—and i KNEW i would get a good one here.. its something about the way their eyes light up with excitement when you give them the creative freedom to make you something so delicious that you want to return for another coffee the next day). 🚨 I ended up with an iced down cup full of decaffeinated oatmilk goodness… with just the right amount of ice. Not so much that it was watered down by the end, but not so little that the last sip was hot either. Just the right amount of sweetness (which for me is in the middle).. literally the PERFECT cup of coffee… 🚨 10/10 you gotta come down here if you’re in Galveston! “Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.”

“I have visited Murdoch for years visiting in Galveston, Texas. The store is nice. The prices are reasonable however, their store policy before closing time they stop letting customers enter 15 minutes before when the store is not officially close., if a merchant says they are open till 7 PM. The door should be open till 7 PM but they close the doors on customers and turn them away., they only open the doors to allow customers in the store to leave. Bad business Murdoch your customers are what make you and if someone has to enter for whatever reason whether it’s water or to use the lady or men’s room, it should be allowed until 7 PM”

I wanted a very specific drink that wasn’t even on the menu, and he worked with the bartender to make it happen, it turned out absolutely perfect. On top of that, he even got the kitchen to make me the Mardi Gras Pasta, even though it’s no longer listed.

Pete also took his time to walk us through all the specials and chef’s specials, which really helped us pick the best dishes. His service, attention, and effort were truly outstanding.
