“Only had time to sample the ice cream here, of which the Lime & Orange sherbet were amazing! Old fashioned soda fountain style place. Super quality chocolate and confectionery, coffee, soft drinks etc. Beautiful building too. Would happily return.“
“It was hot day on the island it was like being on a race track with no wind. I ate not one dessert but two. It was so refreshing and perfect for an afternoon snack . The staff were warm and welcoming. It was like when I was younger and we would go and have a blizzard with the kids. I will be back the next time I am in Galveston.“
“My family decided to try Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard in Galveston. I ordered the Strawberry Watermelon Gelati. It's made up of a Strawberry Watermelon Italian Ice topped with Vanilla Custard. This location is by the seawall. It's kind of small inside but it's a great location for a cold sweet treat. The service was great. There were two friendly women at the counter who greeted us as we walked in. They asked what we needed and gave us what we ordered quickly. After we paid we went outside to a large seating area. The Gelati was really good. The ice was sweet and the custard on top was smooth and creamy. It was a great place to stop and try a cold sweet treat.“
“The pineapple is definitely for 2 and at a pricey $20 dollars they should offer this information upfront. However, definitely delicious and cost worthy for 2 plus people for sharing.Kid-friendliness: Need to implement a public restrooms facility.“
“I gave Hurricane Cowboy a 4 because it was not true shaved ice…it was quite hard and came off in chunks and wasn’t able to spoon it out like typical shaved ice. Shaved ice is supposed to be soft and you can scoop it up easily with a spoon. I lost big chunks when trying to eat it.As far as the taste - it was fabulous! I ordered the Hurricane In the largest size. It was a little over $7.50 for it.The service was ok“
“This place is super cute. I am a small business consultant so I meet with clients wherever they want to go. One of my QuickBooks clients asked to meet here and it was by far one of the nicest conference places I've seen at a coffee stop. I've been in SO MANY coffee shops, so that's saying something! The coffee is good quality (I only drink coffee - BORING - but I can actually taste the coffee which can be awful with nothing to cover up the taste) and the little barista said brewed coffee refills are .50 CENTS! The only complaint is the benches are not kind to the body if you intend to stay a while. All in all a very chic place. I'll be back, it's now in the rolodex.“
