“Freckleberry Teahouse is one of my favorite places to stop and grab an amazing beverage. The staff is super sweet, knowledgeable and their drink choices are always creative! I try to order off the featured drink menu but my fall back is the Thai Milk Tea + Boba! It's amazing!“
“Lil' Buffalo Grill is a hidden gem in Galveston Texas!!! We loved the food, the location and the staff! The food was hot and fresh, the coffee was delicious and the service was amazing. There is also a great outdoor area. If you are on the island, I would recommend this restaurant!Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly breakfast!“
“Again, we were guided to a treasure by locals who knew where to go. Koops was an amazing lunch place with the best BBQ I have ever had. My Beef Brisket sandwich was perfect, without any additional sauces or flavours added. The Potato Salad was the perfect accompaniment to go with the slaw and brisket! My wife had 3 Beef Brisket tacos, which meant I got to try 2 of them the next day at lunch? as it was more than she could eat. Our friends had Beef Brisket with slaw and a Stuffed Baked Potato that she says was amazing. We will be returning before our departure for Canada.“
“We heard this was the place to go for breakfast so we stopped on our way out if town. Atmosphere was quaint and friendly! I had the BLT which was as expected so I was happy. My husband, on the other hand, had the Smuggler and the hostess recommended the sausage gravy topping. He said the burrito was fabulous but ruined by the sausage gravy. If you are a sausage gravy fan, do not order this as you will be disappointed. He said the sausage in the gravy was so heavily coated with flour, you couldn't taste the sausage. Due to that, the gravy did not have that sausagy flavor you are looking for. My husband is a cook and true foodie, so I trust his review.“
“I can’t drive anymore so DoorDash brought me my food. I am so delighted to say that it was the best meal I’ve had in a long while. The hummus was delicious, the spanakopitas as wonderful as I remember, and the gyro sandwich is my ultimate favorite. I love their food and just wish I could drive down to their great restaurant 2-3 times a week like I used to. But I added atmosphere because it was always super. Thanks so much!“
“Fantastic eatery. The gluten free bread is wonderful. I wish there was a location in Houston. But this is now a must stop for our trips to Galveston. Not just for the bread, but the roasted red pepper spread and sauces and sandwich fixings. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They truly take serving those with dietary restrictions seriously and provide so many options. The staff is helpful, caring, and very nice.“
“What a great place for dinner! We were seated at the outside tables with our dog and they even got him a water cup. Our server Alexandria was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and even got my husband a free dessert for his birthday!Coming to the food, the taco salad was very tasty. But man the complimentary chips and salsa was out of the world! Hands down one of the best salsas we’ve had in a long time!!!! If they’d package and sell that salsa, we would buy bottles of it!! With food that tastes this good, we’re gonna be back soon!!Jefferson and Jorge were a lot of fun too!!“
“So you know, this is a takeout place only (unless you are doing a tasting for catering). We went in and grabbed 3 of their cookies, Caramel Sugar, Peanut Butter, and Snickerdoodle. Wow, all three were so good. Huge, soft, evenly baked, with so much flavor. Skip the tourist places a few blocks away and grab a cookie to go.“
“This is a cute restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Not too much seating so you may have to wait to get a seat...luckly our group of 10 dined in at the right time and didnt have to wait for seating. Everything was delicious. I ordered the Birra tacos with cheese and the French toast. If you are a coffee drinker.... you MUST order the Cafe de Olla.“
“One of my OG fav breweries , I don't think I've ever been here and not found something on the board for the day that I didn't just LOVE . There are so many seating options here too , you can sit outside in the sun , you can sit under the covering , you can sit inside by the bar , you can sit inside by the brewery equipment OR you can go upstairs where it's 18+ only . My kiddos love the pretzel here and honestly I've tried so many pretzels and I always would pick theirs , it's just the perfect amount of " gooey" in the center that keeps me wanting more . Did I mention that they also have a playground for the kiddos ? Staff are always super laid back and friendly , on Saturdays at 1pm they do FREE tours . Highly recommend stopping by .“
“I'm a food truck nut and this is definitely hands down one of the best in the gulf coast region! One little hint is that the truck is inside the Jamaican RV Resort park. He moves around inside the park during the summer and winter months so if you can't find him CALL! Hubby ordered the burger and fries and he LOVED it! I have to say that the fries were delicious and crispy. Better than most for sure. I got the Ruben and OMG was it fantastic! I'm pretty picky about my Ruben and this one definitely was one of the best! We both got the homemade lemonade and it didn't disappoint either! Now for something a little sweet you have to try his homemade funnel cake!!!!!! He has several varieties. We went with the strawberry cheesecake funnel cake and it was deliciously perfect.......I gained 5lbs. You definitely can't beat this little gulf coast gem if you're looking for something casual and tasty!!!“
“Review: The Proletariat & Public House: A Sober Haven with a Coffee TwistAs a seven-year sober individual, finding a place that caters to a variety of tastes can be challenging. However, The Proletariat & Public House in Galveston has managed to create a unique and inviting space that appeals to both those seeking a vibrant social scene and those who prefer to enjoy a caffeine fix.One of the standout features of The Proletariat is their exceptional coffee selection. “This trailer is super cute! I ordered the brown sugar latte and it was really good. The flavor of the espresso was amazing. Service was also good, they opened up a few mins after 7:00, but not too drastically late. I love supporting local businesses here on the island, and this is definitely one that will have you coming again and again!“
“After hearing about the place, I decided to give it a try on a weekday afternoon shortly after lunch! When walking in, Tony greeted us and was super friendly and welcoming, explaining the different options and additions you can add to the drinks. I ordered a regular sized smoothie with strawberry and pineapple! It was incredibly fresh, and I saw them put real fruit in the blender when preparing the drink. I really liked how you can choose the base (milk, OJ, or banana), and there's different types of milk too. Although the price is pretty high compared to other dessert drinks (like $5 for boba vs. $7/9 for a smoothie here), I think it's definitely worth it because of how fresh it is. There a small space indoors to sit, but we choose to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air, and there's many benches/tables to sit at. The place itself is very quaint and is a home. There is street parking around the block and street. The entrance is up the stairs, and it may be hard to figure out where it is if it's your first time there. Overall, it is a great place with fresh fruit and drinks with great service!“
“Great spot! Quiet and moody, old world style with heavy woods and wonderful interior design. We stopped in on Sunday and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. We opted for the cheese pizza and a beer and weren't disappointed. The only thing of note is that they don't offer frozen drinks. Other than that, wonderful experience.“
“Visited the restaurant for my first time last weekend. The manager guided me through the ordering process, highlighted specials and offered samples of their custom sauces. I appreciated the attention payed and help offered to us. It was a great experience.“
“Talk about a hidden treasure!! Me and family recently ate here, and everyone was 10/10 on their meals. The service was extremely friendly. The food was delicious and it came so fresh that we all had to give it a minute because of how hot the food was when it came out. Belinda was so friendly and welcoming and took great care of us, and we will no doubt be back here to grab burgers!!!“
“Came here on vacation for the last day of our honeymoon. What’s great place! Beautiful view and the bartenders were so much fun! Great recommendations of things to do for us, and they were genuinely interested in us having a good time. Even put our games for NFL Sunday on for us. Atmosphere was fun watching the game with Texans fans. Will come back when we are in town again! Thank you for a great time!“
“Our favorite restaurant when we're visiting Galveston! This visit was no exception. Superb service and food!I am not a bread person but I absolutely cannot resist the bread they serve!! Wow!We started with the crab cakes appetizer. It was excellent. For our entrees, hubby ordered the seafood pasta that came with alaskan king crab and topped with lobster tail. I ordered the ribeye with Piitsburg sear and blue cheese crumbles on top. The steak was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of sear and so juicy and flavorful!! The seafood pasta was also excellent. For sides, we chose sautéed spinach and sautéed mushrooms. Both were delicious. For dessert we shared the warm butter cake. It was divine!Service was excellent as always! And the view! Awesome!Absolutely perfect experience!“
“I gave Hurricane Cowboy a 4 because it was not true shaved ice…it was quite hard and came off in chunks and wasn’t able to spoon it out like typical shaved ice. Shaved ice is supposed to be soft and you can scoop it up easily with a spoon. I lost big chunks when trying to eat it.As far as the taste - it was fabulous! I ordered the Hurricane In the largest size. It was a little over $7.50 for it.The service was ok“
“The Spice and Tea Exchange smells wonderfully when you walk in! They do have a variety of teas and blends as well as diffusers and mugs. My wife and I saw several great gift ideas for our little tea drinker! Our sales person was very knowledgeable and nice.“
“This place is super cute. I am a small business consultant so I meet with clients wherever they want to go. One of my QuickBooks clients asked to meet here and it was by far one of the nicest conference places I've seen at a coffee stop. I've been in SO MANY coffee shops, so that's saying something! The coffee is good quality (I only drink coffee - BORING - but I can actually taste the coffee which can be awful with nothing to cover up the taste) and the little barista said brewed coffee refills are .50 CENTS! The only complaint is the benches are not kind to the body if you intend to stay a while. All in all a very chic place. I'll be back, it's now in the rolodex.“
“Went there for a conference reception, excellent food, lovely atmosphere and really good service (tall waiter who kept bringing me glasses of hot water as I requested, even though they were not on the menu, you are the best! I got my voice back in time for the event next day!)“
“When I went to Texas A&M Galveston we’d go here for their Bigass beer special! It was called another name back then but the inside hasn’t changed much at all in 20 years! Just as I remembered it. The beer was just as cold too. The snacks were good typical bar snacks.“
“Whenever I visit the island I ask local friends to recommend places I haven’t yet tried. This is how I found Gonzalo’s. What a great recommendation! Had a great chat with the owners. Got a breakfast burrito to go and ate it while watching the waves roll in. The burrito was OUTSTANDING and so are Angela and Felipe. I will be back and next time I’m going to dine in. Super cute and cozy in there. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: You are allowed to sub. I swapped out bacon for avocado on my burrito.“
