When I found out the first location in Houston would be just 15 minutes from me, I was ecstatic!!! They recently did updates to their app, so reward credit is now earned based on the card you use. Whether you order dine in or takeout, you'll still earn credit! This is a game changer for regulars like myself! I also look forward to the new exclusive sandwiches every month. The Texas OG has been my absolute favorite so far and needs to become a part of their regular menu!! “We were at the Japanese Gardens in Herman Park area of Houston enjoying the weather and scenery. I decided to look for food and remembered that Gus's opened in Houston awhile ago and haven't tried it since they came to Texas. We love the Memphis Gus's so we loaded up the car and went to the Kirby location. This location is a stand alone Resturant in a large shopping center with a lot of parking, which was fantastic. Large Resturant with plenty of seating. Our server was Stephanie and she was amazing from the time we came in the door. She noticed we were a family of five and noted there was a big table and pointed it out. You come in a sit where you like then the server comes over. She ordered our drinks and appetizer. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which were prepared wonderfully. The tea is fresh and delicious. We ordered our meals and they were hot and fresh. Great tasting. Everyone was kind and friendly. “This place is incredible. Everything is so good. The heat of the food is incredible. They have a certain heat level that you have to sign a waiver. I had the sleezy chicken and it was delicious. “Last time i’ve had Nandos was in Johannesburg, SA around 3 years ago and i’ve missed the sauce. I recently came across a TikTok and searched Nandos and it was only 12 minutes away!!!! I missed the sauce sooo much and today we decided to check it out.We got seated and was then told we could order through the phone or the register. They had a good playlist that made me feel like i was back in SA. We place an order through the phone and it was surprisingly easy ( i’m not good with technology but it wasn’t difficult at all). there was cups next to the fountain drink area so we served ourselves and the food was delivered no more than 10 minutes afterwards which was fast! It was a slow day due to the rain so i understand but get this, it was delicious!The sauce, same as i remembered! To remind you i used to eat that sauce with everything!!! i tried hot and toned down to medium because i’ve mellowed down on spicy food since i lived there but still was amazing!I ordered the boneless butterflied breast with peri chips (fries) with perinnayise, and the portuguese rice, and my boyfriend ordered the same breast with the peri mac and red skinned mashed potatoes, everything was delicious. The only thing is my man is not a big fan of fat so he had to scrape it off but he was still impressed!!We will definitely be going back and i highly recommend this place! “Really juicy chicken that will definitely give you heart burn if you have trouble with fried food. I didn't eat the breading much, but the inner chicken is warm and juicy and flavor. I enjoy the regular over the spicy. I felt like the spicy drowned out the flavor. My only complaint is that the fountain drink machine was barely functioning. It was a challenge to get water out of it and there were no napkins readily available. Plus they were out of soap in the womens bathroom, but I enjoyed the round booth seating option. “Never heard of the restaurant just stopped by while in the area, and the stop was well worth it. We ordered the Stuffd wing flight, stuffd chicken tenders and the wheeler fries. The wing were good but the chicken tenders were even better(get them tossed in the Chi sauce and that just take them to another level). The wheeler fries (chef kisses is all I can say) not one fry was dry and it had plenty of chicken. Last but not least the frozen lemonade(don't sleep on it) the texture was almost smoothie like but not so thick you have to let it sit so you can drink it (even after letting it sit for a while it was still solid and not a watery). I also got the strawberry banana pudding but it wasn't anything to brag about. Overall I would recommend the Stuffd tenders, the wheeler fries and the frozen lemonade based off this first visit.“

Every time I come back I make it a point to try something new, and I do but I always end up getting a Hot Fish Sandwich at Lea Jane’s as well. This sandwich is fire!!! I feel kind of atypical for repeatedly ordering a fish sandwich at a Hot Chicken joint but it is what it is. I usually don’t repeatedly order the same item when I return to a restaurant, just because I like variety but this sandwich is making me break protocol. I get it as spicy as possible. I love everything about this sandwich. Intense heat on a huge, fried filet of flavorful fish, with pickles and sauce in between two buttery buns. Throw in those crispy, rough cut fries and we got us a delicious meal.Service is always quick and not complicated. The ambiance is typical of POST . They were very attentive and sincerely interested in our dining experience. The food was delicious as depicted in their menu pictures. The grill chicken had the delicious off-the-grill taste and the Tallarin Saltado was the perfect match of the pasta and beef. The fried mushrooms came out hot and were very good, especially with the ranch dressing on the side. I ordered the chick meal which is three chicken tenders, fries, toast, and a drink, I chose blue cheese as my dip. It was more than enough to fill me up for the evening. The tenders were, well tender, and fried in a delicious coating that stuck to the meat, unlike other tenders places where the batter falls off. “Finally a Dominican-owned restaurant on my side of town! My wife is Dominican, and despite being an amazing cook, she likes to go out and eat Dominican food. We live on the Northeast side and until now, have had to travel minimum 45 minutes to the handful of Dominican restaurants we frequent because apparently, all the Dominicans in Houston live outside the Western boundary of Beltway 8 ?. We only came across this place today because they have a little Dominican flag in one of their windows, and my wife spotted it with her Dominican eagle eyes as we drove by. They had Bachata playing on the overhead speakers, mofongo and morir soñando on the menu, and all the food we tried at our first visit today was amazing. This is our go-to spot from now on. ??♥️“

“Usually not very busy but the food is so good! They do the Spicy and sweet mixture very well. Chicken is spicy but the coleslaw is sweet, which balances out the sandwich very well. I always get a sandwich while my husband loves their loaded fries. He doesn’t like coleslaw even though I said it pairs really well so he used to always ask without, but one time he forgot to request no coleslaw and decided to try it and ended up liking it more with coleslaw! The price per wing is a bit high BUT believe me when I say, you will not find more flavorful wings than these. The truck also seems to he family owned.
