Have tried fried/boiled crayfish, boudain ball, gumbo, fried shrimp, gumbo( good but I like darker rue), frog legs. All good. right along with the sides. All servers and checkout people are very nice, helpful and attentive. Could not ask for more, and fair prices as well.”

“Hands down the very best restaurant my wife and I have ever dined at. It is not cheap and anyone who gives this less than a stellar review is mad because of price. Drinks here are amazing, but the steak is the best in the world. I’ve been to steak houses from DC to Isla Mujeres and I’m always disappointed. Jack knows how to cook a steak better than anyone. Service is always top notch. Staff is exceptionally well trained. There is a steakhouse in buffalo gap who can almost get close to jacks quality steak but not quite. I still pick Jack. There is a place in Washington DC called 1789 and it is a close third but Jack always wins.”

“My husband and I love this place. The Tortillas are HOMEMADE and HUGE which makes their burritos out of this world great. The sopes are amazing . The meat is flavorful and their salsa is wonderful. Breakfast or lunch it is ALL authentic great Mexican food.”

“We hosted the entire Sabine Varsity football team at Ol Mans Taco and the boys loved it! Nacho Trays for appetizers and a Taco Buffet to top it off. Darrell absolutely has his offerings perfected! Certainly, not your ordinary food. Many items and sauces are from scratch as well. Go check the out - Just off I20 at HWY42 and FM1252.”

“It was good, but not the best I've had. Also, how can a bbq restaurant run out of brisket? After we ordered, 6 of us, the waitress informed us they were out of brisket and inly 3 of us would get brisket. So we got sausage. A bit disappointing.”

“So good! We’re from Houston and have struggled to find a taco stand that comes even close to the food there. This place definitely can compete.
A year later and they’re still just as good if not better. Great people and their pastor tacos are the best I’ve ever had. Give them a try, you won’t regret it.”

“I came on 11/8/24 around 6:00pm and it was a line of 4 people in front of me. There were 2 younger guys working (1 seemed new) and the line behind me was starting to grow.

I appreciate the 1 worker stopping to ask while continuing to make sandwiches how everyone's day is going; and he paused at a different point to apologize about the wait. I also noticed that although swamped, they didn't rush the customer in front and that they continued to take the glove off when dealing with money then getting new glove to continue making sandwiches. I didn't leave until 6:30.

I commend how they handled the rush and I made sure to tell them before leaving i appreciated the professionalism (and also left a $5 tip).”

“These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.”

“I get excited every time I can come here because I grew up my grandparents bringing me here as a kid. So when I am 20 East I stop. This trip was great but once I got my food. I saw the ketchup bottle where you pick up to go order. So I said I will use it to put ketchup on my onion rings (which I do not eat like this but this was a happy cheat day) I go in bag for onion rings and the paper they have them in is not fully closed so they all fall on counter. Lady gets them and throws in trash and is going to ring me up for more. I get it food is high I have a food truck but the packaging is awful. I said no thanks I must did not need them. Heck I would have just did the 2 second rule and ate them had I known she was about to charge me another $3.89 and I already paid $12 for my dude and onion rings. I was all happy until this. But I will always love this Dairy Queen for the memories.”

“The food is pretty good, but way overpriced. And they tend to stop serving certain items before the store is even closed. Some people prefer biscuits instead of rolls, but you can't get a biscuit after 8pm and if you do, it's hard as a brick-bat. I recommend go earlier than later.”

The servers have all been very nice and attentive, and didn't let our drinks run out. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable and the tables and booths and chairs are always clean. Andy runs a very professional restaurant that my husband and me always enjoy.

The chicken bacon ranch quesadillas, the grilled cajun duo, and the chicken enchilada soup are my favorites!”
