“This is one of those places your grandparents told you about. From the moment I walked in I knew the food was gonna hit harder then Mike Tyson in his prime. The Bubba Burger is everything you though it is and the Onion Rings were perfect.
I 100% recommend. If you get the double meat prepare to let someone else drive home.”

“Terrible service. Rude employees. First a woman was taking my drive through order and being rude. She would speak over me as I was ordering. Then a little man/he/she/them was rude when I paid. Then they took extra long to bring my order out. He told me to pull out of the drive through and wait by the bushes.”

“Today was my first visit after hearing about the place for a long time. I got the fried ribs with 2 sides and a drink, then got a side of chicken spaghetti and a piece of strawberry cake. The fried ribs and chicken spaghetti both were excellent. The ribs were super tender, and the spaghetti had chicken in pretty much every bite. The strawberry cake was the best I've ever had, without a doubt. Staff was super friendly. If you haven't already, I highly recommend you give this place a try.”

“I live in Florida and found Soul Palace on the Internet with great reviews. Five of us went on April 11 and sat outside at the picnic tables. Absolutely love love loved the catfish and the burgers got rave reviews from the folks with me. I would highly recommend it as a great place to have a casual burger or that wonderful catfish at a great price!”

“We love to eat at Golden Corral but wish there were more fried chicken legs . The food is really good & affordable & service staff is very friendly. Actually, we wish we could get another Golden Corral back in Carthage, Texas. Then we could go eat out more often. There is a building for sale as you are coming into Carthage from Marshall on the left. It used to be a restaurant & has plenty of parking.”

“Our go to for a delicious meal. After trying the Guiso Mexicano … that’s all we ever want to order …it’s big enough to split. It has the most wonderful taste, but it is spicy. We always pair it with Charro beans. Their guacamole Mexicano is another favorite. Service and food are always both excellent.”

“A friend told me about this place and a sandwich called the pig. I drove from Shreveport and it was worth the drive. I got the pig sandwich and beans and potato salad…everything was delicious . Restaurant was very clean. Staff very friendly and my server was great. And great bbq sauce. A good down home family feeling place. I’m so glad I went and I will definitely be back…great job Porkys!!!!!!”

“We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Tonight we were there and our food was soooo good!! I had the shrimp tacos and garlic fries, husband had the shrimp and crawfish pasta, and my mother in law had the gumbo. We all left full and happy!”

“We visit this restaurant many times a year and order take out several times. I recently place an order for shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine with Broccoli and of course taramasu. The food was excellent as always. What surprised me was the cost. I expected some higher cost, but the menu prices onli e showed my order should have been about $20.00 less than what I was charged. Since they failed to provide me with an itemized receipt I really don't know what I was charged for. They need to update their online menu and also provide itemized receipts.”

“You know it's a really little little bar at a hotel of all places, the first time I saw it we weren't even going to stop until some stranger recommended it and told us that the bartender was a really nice female. He wasn't lying, she was great they have two nice pool tables which is the whole reason we went anyways she can make a great drink and everybody we've seen in that bar has just been nice as can be. I recommend this bar all day long.”

“I was fortunate to be taken there this Friday for the first time ever in order for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Every single individual there who was working that night was dedicated to their job and the right way. Even the customers were all so friendly and delightful! The drinks and food tasted sensational. The service is beyond exceptional!I loved the atmosphere and being able to play a couple of games of pool. Then, I could go outside and sit down, eat, dance, and even sing.Every Friday is karaoke night!! Then, typically, every Saturday night is when they have different live bands or people playing music up on the stag. I guarantee this is a fun, safe, and comfortable environment to be in. Definitely want to go back!!”

“Excellent ambience. The room is small and romantically lit. The dining area is a floor above the wine cellar. The wine list is one of the most impressive you'll see anywhere. The kitchen is elevated above the dining area. The short rib bruschetta was terrific and the rack of lamb was perfectly cooked. If your lucky, joe the owner, will stop by your table for a greeting and an expert suggestion for wine and food pairing. Good times”

“As always, it was great. This Chick Fil A is located on the ETBU campus in the Ornelas student center. Best entrance is on west side of building. There is no drive thru, it is walk in only service. The hours of operation are short and sporadic because it is on a college campus. I hope they build one on Hwy 59 in Marshall soon so we don't have to jump through hoops just to get this tasty food.”

“Today 5/30/26 we encountered the rudest group of individuals dining during lunch. They were being 100% disrespectful to the employee running the front area. I wish I had gotten her name but she handled the situation with complete grace. To those individuals, you should be ashamed for bringing your no home training to a public place.”
