“Seriously delicious food! The chicken dumplings are perfection and of the four entrees we’ve tried, all have been worthy of going home wearing a smear of sauce on our shirts as badges of honor.

Service is friendly, fast, and equitable, with newcomers and regulars treated with respect and courtesy.

I was sad to see the eggplant and tofu dish rotating off the menu, but the quality of the other dishes was such that I happily dove into another tofu dish.

Anytime we visit Portland we will frequent The Rice Hat.”

“This was a wonderful dining experience! We were a party of 7 and our waiter was very efficient. Food was served good and hot, perfectly cooked; I could almost cut the ribeye with just a fork. It was so tender! We were sad there wasn’t any meatloaf left, but my boys were very happy with what they got instead. Very excellent dining experience!”

“Would have given 5 starts, but the ice cream/custard machine was empty so we could get ice cream. Place was a little dirty, not too bad, and the food came quick.”

“Had lunch at Hardknocks Sport Grill today and had the best service possible from the server Jasmine. Every time I've been there for lunch this young lady is aways on her game. She super with the customers and get everyone order correct. You can have a party of 2 or a party of 10, she one of the best waitresses you could ever asked for. Jon.”

“I just ate here for the first time today and I have to say it was wonderful! The staff is so kind, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere was simple beauty. I had the beef enchiladas and they were fantastic! My wife had the mango margarita which was wonderful. We really are fortunate to have this gem right here in Portland, Texas. If you haven't tried it, you really need to!”

“I love firehouse sub! So does my family! I called before they opened to see if I could place a Togo order to be ready at 1030(the time they open) and they made it Happen! My 9 year old loves them, and her lunch time is at 1040! firehouse made that happen for her school lunch!”

“The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was wonderful the the train set up in the ceiling that was so awesome. Plenty of seating not too close together just far enough so you can feel comfortable.
We had to the big buster hamburger cheeseburger it was like the best hamburger meat that we've had in forever. It was a perfect size to cheese to bun ratio perfect amount of veggies on top it was just by far I just could not stop eating it and thank you very much dairy Queen for making our day.”

“Delicious! Kolaches & donuts are so good! My favorite is the jalapeño boudin kolache. Leaves my mouth feeling spicy & my nose running in a good way lol. The owners are soo nice & friendly. They are super sweet to my 1 year old son. Highly recommend Donut Man!”

“Bloom is easily one of the best coffee shops in the costal bend! The baristas are kind and professional. The coffee is delicious. Even when it’s busy you’ll always get great customer service and be greeted with a smile. Great place to get some work done during the day too!”

“This place is great for a few donuts and pig in blankets, their sausage croissants are to die for.... and now they have Espresso/fresh cold brew..... iced Carmel machiatto was so great as well as the sweet cream cold brew!! Now I don't have to go two places and the coffee is priced great, compared to other stores!!”

“The best place to enjoy a seafood boil! Me and my husband go here all the time for their Edamame and anything we can add their surfing special sauce on! They are always fast with everything and have great waiters!”

“Always quick service & delicious everything. Disappointed this morning tho because they didn't have the spicy falafel that they advertise on the starbucks app. Overall, however, I always reccomend.

“It was a okay experience not the best but not the worst. The spinach dip was pretty good, also the Caesar salad was okay. They accidentally brought me a house salad but realized when it hit the table wasn’t the right one. I also ordered a blue aloha which I never received it…. I was looking forward to it! For the entree I ordered the full rack of ribs (honey glazed the ones in the photo) with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The ribs came out burnt/dry and taste spicy like some type of seasoning was on it. I asked the waitress and she said it was no additional seasoning added it was probably the sauce. I asked them to remake it and the second rack of ribs came out much better! They came out soft, had a beautiful glossy glaze, and much thicker! I was pleased with the second rack. Both the broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes were cooked nicely!”
