“Small place with just a few tables. Parking is a challenge. They are switching from Verizon to Frontier so their phone doesn't work and you have to go inside to order. Sammiches are good and soup is even better.”

“Great food and service. Brisket was very flavorful and juicy. Ribs were tender and perfectly seasoned. The owners are friendly and didn't mind answering questions about the food and how it's prepared. Very clean cooking area. I definitely got some extra to take home.”

“Not being overly impressed with any Mexican food places in Rockport, not bad but nothing great, drove the 10 miles to this place. Glad I did, it was a little better. Chips were fresh and hot, salsa was ok but could use a little more umph. They have a range of authentic style to Tex-Mex. Today's special was fideo, something you don't see at very many places. However, I opted for the Mexican plate (definitely Tex-Mex) keeping it simple. Beef, crispy taco was the highlight of the plate, beef enchiladas were good, rice a little above average, refried beans were just ok. Prices are very reasonable, always get you with the drink, $3+ for tea. Bill was just over $13. Service was good. I'll definitely go back again and try some of their authentic fare.”

“Food is hot and decent. The chips and salsa were really good! The food for 3 was 30. About what I'd expect. The "Mexican sodas" (whatever. Coke and Juarritos)were 9 and with tax and tip we arrived at 57. That's more than I was expecting. But overall it was ok food. There is Cabrito on the menu.”

“This place is fantastic!! The food is great with a HUGE menu. The staff are fantastic!! 3 games of bingo every night 6, 7, 8, and no cost. The winner gets a $10.00 gift card. Darts, pool, outdoor patio. It's just an all-around great place. Stop in and check them out!! Family friendly, and very reasonable prices.”

“They are located in the Stripes store, next to the Microtel. They have the best tacos at a reasonable price. They are open at 4am, so people like us that we're headed out to go fishing can get breakfast on the way out. We were in there 3 days getting tacos and they were always hot, fresh, and very good.”

“The overall customer experience was spot on. The entire staff were friendly, polite, professional, and every one of them had a smile. We took our own fish, and it was cooked to perfection. The drink selection was plentiful. Their dinner rolls are served hot and some of the best I have enjoyed.....especially after adding butter. The key lime pie is a must!!!! Everyone enjoyed their sides and if there is any suggestion to be given, it would be to include a baked potato to the menu.”

“Our Aransas pass subway is always excellent about accommodating my unique dietary needs. Facility is always clean and well kept with nicely swept parking area as well. Employees always willing to adjust product to accommodate prep considerations. Deeply appreciated.Parking: Spaces assigned to storefront is usually well swept and clean of tire damaging materials, not easily done since adjacent businesses obviously show little care and consideration to the exteriors of their businesses.”

“This was our first time to visit this restaurant. Food is great! Refried beans and rice were kind of bland, but at least they didn't burn the tongue out of my wife's mouth. We have eaten at over three dozen Mexican restaurants in the San Antonio area and this one scores right up there with the best of them. One exceptional note for this restaurant: They have the best flour tortillas of any of the nearly 100 Mexican restaurants I've eaten in around the world. This restaurant is going to be one of our mainstays when we don't feel like cooking at home. One minor note of disappointment: We were not given chips and salsa when we were seated. Not a failure as many restaurants do not seem to know what chips are really great.”
