“Wednesday night, cooler weather in March, moderate crowd, family friendly. The bar stools were all filled, but the single bar tender managed very well. There is a lot of seating throughout the inner building and exterior. There were at least 5 food trucks open, which is a lot more than other places we've been on a weeknight. The food at the "sisters tacos and more" food truck was extremely good. We had the corn in the cup and birria quesadilla, it wasn't the best I ever had, but they did not skimp on the birria! The only thing keeping me from 4 stars is the liquor selection could have been larger. They had the basics and had decent cheap specialty drinks but could expand on liquor flavors and selections. I'd 100% recommend this spot and will be back!“
“My parents came from the island and were desperate for puertorrican food. After doing some research we found Calle caribe. We were skeptical about it because coming from the island you encounter a lot of Caribbean fusion but not authentic food. It was amazing. El maposteao, mofongo, carne frita, pollo frito, sorullos, alcapurrias and pastelillos de carne were out of this world. It felt like being in Puerto Rico. The service was incredible. If you want to taste a little piece of PR you have to go. Thank you for making my parents happy.“
“Tried this place after reading all the reviews. Can't say that I was disappointed! It was very good and the service was great. Also, for a food truck, it was exceptionally clean! We had the chicken pad Thai, chicken massaman curry and shrimp basil and don't forget the mango sticky rice! It smelled Devine. We couldn't wait to eat so we sat on the back of the SUV and ate it there. Everything was delicious and hot. We'll definitely go back soon and recommend it to everyone.“
“Made a stop at Second Pitch Beer Co. for the first time. Man...were we glad we came hungry because the delightful folks inside of Satisfried (excellent name!) took care of us. Mac and cheese was so good it disappeared before my Yelp! camera could catch it. Bar none... best chicken fingers ever. I had to ask and yes... home made Cajun flavor that does not disappoint. Check them out!“
“Bussin!!! The baked chicken and gravy is fire! The yams bussing! The Mac n cheese isn't nasty, but it's kinda mid. It went well with the catfish though, and the catfish is fire too! I was salty they were out of the banana pudding and they only had a few servings left of peach cobbler so I'm pretty sure that means it's good. The kool-aid is banging. Fresh and hot! Made to order! Definitely will be a repeat customer!??✊?“
“Hidden gem on the north side of town! May very well be the best tacos I’ve had in town. Had the mini taco plate with a combination of tacos - Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. Pastor was killer.Great friendly service, quality food, and clean restaurant. This is a must try and this will remain on my food rotation for sure.“
“Last night, I drove here all the way from the south side because it’s been recommended to me so many times. I had the chicken mini tacos which were so fresh and delicious. Their side salsas are not too spicy, and have good flavor. Their customer service is great! The person taking orders & the one bringing food out to the tables were very nice. There are only 3 large tables and 2 kiddie tables, but even the customers were nice and didn’t mind sharing a table. I’m definitely eating here again!!“
“¡MUY RICO! Everything is so authentic and full of flavor. The Lechon here is mouth watering. I've never been a fan of Yucca UNTIL I tried it from here ??️ The prices are fair, the wait is short and the service is friendly. They give you enough food to feed 2 people in one plate. It's so delicious I can't stop eating, even when I'm full ? this is my FAVORITE spot to get Puerto Rican food in Texas ?? I'm so grateful we found this hidden gem ❤️ thank you for the great service and amazing food!!!! We pray you all stay open and prosper ? Buen Provecho!!!!!!!!“
“I happened to be in town and visited this location. Located conveniently right off the freeway. Food was really great; I ordered a Birria torta. Service was friendly and food prepared fast. Portion sizes were generous and filling, and food tasted great! I'm not from the area, but I would definitely come back next opportunity.“
“First impressions are they open 20 minutes late so you know it's bomb food. 30 seconds to order asada mini tacos with charro beans x2 total $18. Ambiance was mosquito's so sit in the car but worth it because the tacos were amazing“
“Very friendly, great service and the best part the food is delicious ?.I had the mini tacos callejeros with the green salsa, lime juice and pieces of the jalapeño. I highly recommend you eat the jalapeño with the taquitos. I had an horchata, also very good.I would definitely go back.“
“I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! Chef Keyon provided lunch for a staff event today and EVERYONE raved about the food and the level of service provided. Catfish, wings, pork chops - all exceptional, and the pork chops were falling off the bone. The red beans and rice were a big hit, as were the collard greens. We're all still trying to figure out what the secret was to the fries, too. There is no doubt Chef Keyon knows authentic Louisiana Cajun/Creole cuisine - thanks, Chef, for a great lunch - look forward to seeing you again.“
“WOW, Com Tam pork chop dish was on point! They actually use broken rice! Definitely at the same level of Houston's Viet food, hands down! Love that they give bit of fresh chili to boost up the flavor. Finally, SA has great Vietnamese food! I will be ordering everything here anytime I get the chance. Please stay open, forever!“
“Absolutely incredible food. Went later in the evening and only waited 5 minutes for my food from ordering, if that! I got the pollo mini tacos con queso, and they might be some of best tacos I've ever had. It was $12 for this food and it was worth every penny! Go check these guys out!“
“Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.“
“We were on a mini working vacation and by chance we stopped at this bar. Dani was the mixologist who made amazing drinks and super friendly. I have traveled alot of places around the country but by far best mixologist I have ever had you must stop and see her if you around that area of Texas thanks for the great service ??“
“Super nice operator and the best taco truck in the area. Rarely do you get avocado included, limes that are actually juicy, both onions, just overall great tacos. Haven't got the other items yet but I've had tacos probably a dozen times in the past couple months.“
“The small town of Bracken TX & its places of business has character & characters. When the Bracken Cafe relocated to Retama Race Track, the Bracken Store & Ice House opened its doors at this address. The new business appealed to people who enjoyed good food (Food truck) expanded dining to outdoors, added a convenient store & live entertainment. What brought me back today at 0100pm was a fund raiser for Earl Rhodes. A BBQ, bake sale, & an auction of very nice donated items. Earl is a friend of LeAn Watson Butler whom I have known from workouts & socials at the old Spectrum gym. It is a good worthy cause. Think anyone going to the ice house, to eat or be entertained would feel very comfortable doing so. Everyone I met from LeAn's group or the store were super friendly & engaging.“
“My partner and I both got the patty melt with sweet potato fries. They were really good. We like that you can park pretty close and the seating is nice(just wish it wasn't so cold when we went). We also got a Crunchie and a PB cup. Both were yummy! We will definitely be back on our frequent trips to San antonio since it's on our way! Woo-hoo!Vegetarian options: Whole menu is vegan! So automatically vegetarian friendly!Parking: Parking is free and close to truck“
