“I went through the drive through. First of all the prices have gone up drastically. I couldn't believe it when they gave me the total. The poor boy sandwiches had a lot of fat, and the meat was so charred and tough. The pound of brisket was a bunch of scraps (crumbles). No slices of brisket. It will be a while before I go to Bill Millers again.“

“They came by our apts today, super nice, food was seriously on point.. we caught them as they were gonna get ready to head out and we’re blessed with xtra rice,beans, and Mac.. Customer service goes a long way and they def got that covered.. 3rs Fri of the mnth you can find em at the Wal Mart parking lot off De Zavala and I-10.. Prices are very reasonable and def fair for the quality your getting..Thank you guys for making our Fri night dinner an awesome one“

“Ohh, updated review! Third time ordering here even though it's a mile away (I'm a slacker, I know). Another Nashville Chicken sandwich. 3 bites in and my mouth is on fire in the best way possible! I wish I had taken a picture but I just finished mowing the lawn and dove right in. Everything was fresh and delicious! My eyes might be crying spicy tears but they're happy tears!I've ordered from here twice. The MOST amazing food. The Nashville chicken is addicting. I don't know how many times I wanted to stop eating it and let the fire subside but I finished it with no regrets.“

“Brought my family here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the medium ribs and hot tenders along with the dragon fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the medium heat level was just right to give it just the right amount of heat without it being overwhelming. The dragon fries were well seasoned and the Mac was delicious. They're the type of food that you keep on eating even though you're stuffed because they taste so good.My only complaint would be the chicken strips. They were dry, hard and stringy. That being said, I'll definitely be returning based on the other dishes.I'd recommend the texas hot spice for those that truly love spicy. Initially you don't feel it but the heat definitely builds over time! Looking forward to trying their AMF heat to see what it's all about.“

“Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.“

“Visited for the first time today. Got 2- 2 meat plates, one with brisket and turkey with greenbeans and junkie beans and the other jalapeño sausage and brisket with mac and cream corn. The brisket was damn good ( the bark was perfect), sausage was good and the turkey was moist and actually had flavor. However, the mac was trash, bland no flavor and mushy. The greenbeans were so hot like they were microwaved, the junkie beans were just okay I didn't care for the bbq sauce or the dry chunks of meat in them. The cream corn was THICK with more cream than corn, definitely more of a cream corn salad. The front of the restaurant was dark and could use more light vs the back. Definitely didn't feel nor look like a bbq spot. Service was mediocre at best. Nobody had a welcoming attitude and when I asked one of the employees about the bbq her response was less than polite. We would return just for the brisket but not much else.“

“I haven't had good brisket in a while! They stopped me and had me try a sample of brisket, tried it out, it was already heaven in my mouth. I had to order. Got myself the Brisket Sandwhich and oh boy, that was worth every penny. They definitely got me sold and I look forward to ordering more from them.“

Marble brisket, sausage, and chicken.Normally, I avoid chicken at barbecue places because it tends to be dry, but this chicken was perfection seasoned Well, yummy skin. Marbled brisket was tender, sausage had a nice crisp to the skin but juicy meat. Dee's beans were very good, and the star was the sweet potato casserole! It was such a treat. The honey mustard sauce was such a nice touch overall. Would recommend“

“This is some good eatin! The menu was small, but that’s ok. The brisket was tender, juicy and very flavorful. My family and i all ordered brisket meals - tacos, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Even though the sides weren’t my favorite taste, the serving was big. The warm tortilla chips were the best I’ve had in a long time. I definitely recommend this place. They have a very beautiful bar top and a fun atmosphere. We met Josh, Jewel and other staff members were friendly and helpful. We will be back on a weekend night to enjoy the entertainment. “The spot is in a rough looking neighbourhood but the moment we pulled up on the parking on the front a friendly apron wearing man(aka the cook) greeted us, explaining the options we had to order. We ordered the brisket, chicken, ribs and various sides. The brisket was TOP TIER, moist and tender, the chicken juicy and falling off the bone? 10/10, the loaded potatoes were also incredible. Highly recommend the spot but just as a heads up it only has like 2 tables so dining in, although it is an option, is not what the spot is made for. Takeaway, of course, is the way to go (that’s what we did). “This is literally the whole in the wall that has great barbacoa and tamales and even better that it's on the NE side! Thank God! Their Menudo, tamales and barbacoa is so delicious!! They sell out fast so you gotta get there early. It's so worth the wait and I'm so glad i don't have to drive across town to get some good barbacoa, cause it's right here on my side of town! Let's support this local business in OUR neighborhood (if you're from these parts) and tell our friends and neighbors about this place! For years we have not been dissapointed! So glad that my grandma found this place years ago ! Now i buy it for my family to enjoy!!
