“Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. It's been a while since I've dined in but I see some familiar faces and they've always had great service. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!“

“I visited today and had the worst customer service experience ever. These two girls that are together in the picture were the ones that caused the problem. I wanted to sit down with the group that I was with and they refused to let us sit together. They wanted us in separate tables when there was enough room for us on one table. They said we would be cramped and I told them that we did not mind. We were not blocking an exit or causing a safety hazard but they refused. These two girls were talking about me and making fun of the fact that I was handicap. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out and got a table for us that would fit us better. I told her that those two girls were very rude and we making fun of me but she did not seem to care. Her husband came from the back and told me that if I was not happy I could leave. I told him, I know I can but I wanted to bring to his attention how these girls were acting. He told me if im going to have an additude to get out of there. With the leadership this girls have it is no wonder they are giving the crappy customer service they are giving. To them I might just be one customer they will lose but if they keep treating people this way they are going to lose many customers and one day they will feel it. This place is to be our go to place every week but I will never be going back for sure.“

“My daughter and I tried Mexican Restaurant Doña Paz in Weslaco for the 1st time & it was so good! The fajitas are tender, juicy and full of flavor. The rice was moist and flavorful. The beans are good. The cheese enchiladas are light and cheesy. I can't wait to come back and try other plates. The staff are super nice and friendly.“

Parking: Very small location, very tight parking. Be careful.

Kid-friendliness: Mainly a take out location. You probably can take small kids, I would not. I would definitely still go, but bring the food home.

Wheelchair accessibility: Flat parking, no steps, but narrow door and small dining room. Again, this is a great take out restaurant.“

“Reminds me of my days when I visited Mexico and having a small Mexican store nearby is so nice. Every time I head in, all the memories of me entering a small store in Mexico hits in. From childhood snacks and drinks to delicious tortillas freshly made everyday.I usually get the Mexican brand Arizona, a small wee coke glass bottle or even chips from their nearby store, the meat market. It is so nice overall.“

“It was my first time in this place... we really liked the food, it is not 100% Mexican rather I would say it is Texan food, but very tasty... the waitress was very attentive and the restaurant is not luxurious, but it is a familiar and cozy place... all very nice“

“The food is good I got quesadillas and they were pretty good the cheese, the meat, and the tortillas they use for the quesadillas where all good. Most of the prices are under 20$. I will always come back to this amazing place!

“It is an awesome taqueria. Loved the tacos, the only thing is that no matter if they dnt serve breakfast or not I believe a restaurant/taqueria should have coffee available. They didn't. My opinion only.

“Went today 4-19-23 with my family for lunch. I’ve gone to Rene’s Restaurant in Progresso Mexico since I was practically a toddler. And I just found out on social media about this place. my family and I go to Progresso just to eat Milanesa de res @ Renes. The milanesa de res at Renés in Weslaco TASTES THE SAME! I’m so happy I found this gem! My father and brother will be coming down to the valley from work next month and we will go visit Rene’s in Weslaco! Our customer service was stupendous and the restaurant was so clean!“

Roof was leaking after the rain, but I would think that will get repaired quickly. A little more expensive than the other taco places in Weslaco, but may have been worth it.“

“Ok, the salsa is delicious but, the weather is at 75 Fahrenheit so the tacos quickly get cold and you are not eating comfortably. Yes I understand that the girls they have working are on the move and do not feel the weather unlike a client. There is a woman who looks like a man and is wearing black gloves, this is how she is touching the seats, this is how she is taking orders and with those gloves she is carrying the dishes to the tables and if that were not enough another girl who is not doing very well. humor and ask us, 4 steak tacos? and I tell him it's for him (I was with my husband) and he doesn't even turn around and he almost pushes the plate.

“The best place for a delicious barbacoa and chilled Modelo any day and time! Service is prompt and the front line employees are often better than their manager (Westgate, Weslaco). The location on Westgate in Weslaco has had a nasty sewer smell which has never been addressed. The odor is so bad that it hits you smack in the face as soon as you enter their premises. Other locations do not have this issue and much more pleasant to enjoy a meal.“

Yeah the management ruin the experience because the waitress aren't allowed to talk with you long and if they do they watch and watch making the experience suck but they do need to stop that and it's like they are jealous or something and they shouldn't have a restaurant like this if they cant deal with what the ladies have to do. They did seem afraid to talk too long, so pay attention guys they will ruin your fun. These ladies are hustling making money and if you don't like money then you are in tye wrong business. One of the young busboys will stay close to listen in but food is great ? Buffalo burger and fries are delicious ?

“Food was very very good! I ordered Tuesdays special and was pleasantly surprised! Two crispy tacos,two enchiladas ( cheese ) I ordered the beef enchiladas and it was only $1.00 extra. Rice and beans were also on the plate. It even came with a tea! Wow, I barely paid &13.46! ? I met the owners they are so awesome! Really down to earth people! I will be back!

Parking: Pleasantly located in a spacious well taken care of lot with plenty of lighting . Easy parking and accessible. Restaurant is near just about everything necessary for you to do shopping down the street or even stop by the bank or go to the gym. The best part about it is the food!“

The Shipwreck was better.( eggs, bell peppers, bacon, onion and cheese all scrambled together). The best thing about the place was the cinnamon roll! It's huge and tastes great. Daughter loved it.“
