“This is a very cool spot I can’t believe I haven’t found sooner! Super elegant and completely hidden in falls church. Driving by you would t even know it’s a restaurant. Looks like a wine shop only. But the menu and ambiance were great. I’m excited for the new butcher to open next door and that was the reason for checking it out. I will be back for sure!“
“Very welcoming and attentive staff, server and manager! Finding "hidden gem" restaurants is one of my favorite things. Stan's DC Restaurant is below street level, down some steep stairs.I ordered wings based on reviews...and wow, they were HUGE and tasty, lightly fried without being greasy. The barbeque sauce on the side was very tasty. *Keep in mind, 8 whole wings is really 16 traditional.*My wife enjoyed her ribs as well. The Ciroc Obama...whoa. Served as a tall glass of flavored vodkas with ice, plus a sidecar of OJ. That'll do the job. My Old Fashioned was tasty too.Overall, a nice find. Reasonably priced, good food, locals lively vibe with friendly service.“
“An experience like no other- a curated, intentional neighborhood bar that makes you feel you’re a local (even if, like me, you’re a guest). I will return the next time I’m in Alexandria, and would even make the trip from downtown just for this special place. The food and drinks were incredible, I can’t speak highly enough.“
“Excellent beer in a basement that serves a great selection of Belgian and monk-ist beers. Beers are affordable ($8-15), especially because most of them are higher in abv. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I'd come back to try mussels! Their menu looked intriguing. Service was a typical bar but their seating was very cool chapel pews. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Bartender was efficient and seemed to have quite a few regulars at the bar. Overall a quiet place to have conversations! I'll be back.“
“We’ve been wanting to check out some more of the restaurants in Old Town Fairfax. The Wine House did not disappoint! I had the pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and green beans. The tenderloin was wrapped in an olive tapenade and prosciutto. It was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious! For dessert we had the Dark Chocolate Terrine with espresso cream and toasted hazelnuts. It was decadent and wonderful. Of course the wine selection was great. Looking forward to going back again.“
“Finally tried this spot and must be considered an Old Town staple. Original and well put together cocktail menu, they nail the spicy mezcal margarita. Very relaxed ambiance, good hip-hop music inside, space outside. Food came pretty quick: solid chicken sandwich and burger (do emphasize how you prefer your burger cooked). Great place to meet up with a friend for relaxed drinks and eats.“
“I went there because no other restaurants around there had open seating and I didn't have reservations. I should have come here first because the food was great. The hostess set us up for a table for five right away, which suprised me because it was crowded. Our waitress was right on top of things and our food came quickly. I had the chicken parm sandwich and I loved it. The other in my group had burgers of different varieties. Everyone thought the food was delicious. The bar was good too. I'd definitely come back.“
“I arrived solo and somehow felt out of place. My drink was amazing. Ordered 12 wings with 2 different flavors but I couldn't tell if they were actually 2 different flavors because they tasted the same. Neither was the flavor I ordered. Then again, I'm from Memphis, TN home of south and flavor is a must. According to reviews I was excited to go but unfortunately it was not a friendly environment in my opinion. My drink was good though.“
“Excellent restaurant. I just happened to wonder by and decided to go in for dinner. It was great and everyone in my party thought so too. The waiter was right on top of things and dinner came quickly. The restroom was clean. I would definitely go back.“
“Fantastic Irish and restaurant. The setting was great for a date night or a night to watch NCAA basketball or in our case, both! We shared the goat cheese salad as a starter and the chocolate lava cake as a dessert with a delicious meal in between. In addition to the ambience, the server was exceptionally friendly, and made our experience all the better. Right in the heart of Shirlington and close to free parking in the parking garage.“
“On St. Patrick's Day, my mom wanted green beer, so we went to The Barking Dog. The gastropub was filled with sports fanatics. Since alcoholic drinks weren't permitted in the patio area, we were seated at a booth near the bathroom. My brother had an O'Doul's, my fiancé had a Crooked Crab Haze for Days Pale Ale, my parent shared a New Trails Crisp Lager (dyed green), and I had a Green Tea Cocktail. We shared an order of Pub Pretzels, which was served warm and with a spicy cheese dipping sauce.“
“We went to the restaurant down at the wharf….. To start, the hostess at the front was on her phone and not really paying any mind to the people walking in the door. Come to find out after that was the floor manager. Then we get sat and none of the workers talk about who is in charge of that section. We did. It get me is or silverware. The very nice bartender comes up, gets us some water and menus gets us started and finally the sever comes over to us. The server took our order and checked on us twice. When the food was brought to the table we still didn’t have silverware and had to ask the food runner. Our server had a a ten top when we arrived and she was checking on her the whole time not paying any mind to the other tables she has. It was to the point I had to go up to someone ask for water refill bc both our glasses were empty. We finish our meals that were very good and no one but the bartenders are on the floor. I see our sever walk over to the restroom, she comes out looks at us and sees that we are sitting doing nothing, then walks over to a new 10 top and disappears. It’s at thing point I now have to walk over to the bartender and get our check and they are the ones that cash us out. Thank you to the bartender that took care of us“
“I’ve been seeing this restaurant for years and we finally tried it recently. We really were missing out!! Every single item of food that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and they were so kind and patient with our toddler. They have a great coloring sheet option for kids with crayons and she was distracted for big chunk of time, which was great for us. I really do love it when a restaurant thinks about their younger customers. Really appreciated that. The atmosphere is great and felt very cozy and welcoming. Not too loud, not too quiet — just right. Seating was ample and there was no wait since we were there on a weekday for dinner. We’ll definitely be back soon!“
“Met up for happy hour with friends. We made a reservation via Resy but when we arrived it was not in their system. They still helped us find a table though. The atmosphere was pretty nice and the servers were relatively attentive. Happy hours prices were still relatively high, but I suppose that is normal for DC. Note, the dinner menu is pretty pricy, so I will stick to happy hour here.“
“M2M is one of my favorite places to go on the Avenue. Simple but delicious food, and a huge selection of beers. I love to just grab a sandwich and a beer and enjoy lunch at a table outside. It's such a pleasant way to pass the time in beautiful Del Ray!“
“Really cool hidden rooftop Biergarten. Drinks, view and vibe were great. Dog & kid friendly. Only bummer was not being able to walk with your drink outside of the roped off area—supposedly they don’t restrict this on weekends though. Also has a small dog park, mini golf and food trucks.Overall, really cool place!“
“Making this review for anyone on the fence about doing Sunday brunch/Day party here. Was visiting DC from Texas for the weekend & looking for a place with smooth brunch vibes. This place had the vibes I was looking for. Music, women, & bottomless mimosas. Table limit is 90 minutes but they are pretty lenient on that. Day party on the 3rd floor rooftop after brunch with a live DJ was smooth. Would recommend“
“Went here for lunch because I work nearby and it was a great choice! Even though it's a little pricey (because of location), I got the mac and cheese grilled sandwich (almost like a grilled cheese sandwich) and I was full! It was only $10 (not including tax and tip) and it's a great lunch choice. The restaurant was empty inside but it looks like a great place to go after work hours. There were a couple of people at the bar relaxing but it was dead, otherwise. The bartender was too nice and funny. We were doing an inside joke and she was playing along. Overall, great experience. I would love to go there after work hours and eat while watching a sports game.“
“Most of my time at Wonderland has been at night for drinks with friends, but last Saturday I popped in for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. We were able to sit on the patio because it was just gorgeous outside, and the vibes were immaculate. If you love people watching and dogs, the patio is the place for you! As far as food, we ordered the brunch burger, breakfast burrito, and a couple bottles of mimosas and everything was so delicious! The staff is super attentive and the wait time for food and drinks was super short, the servers are great! Will definitely be coming back for brunch more often!“
“We have occasionally ordered food from this place, as it is nearby. They have a great selection of menu items, including sandwiches, pasta, and pizza, which we like. We especially appreciate their lasagna's good quality, delicious taste, and generous portion size. It is always baked to perfection, making it our favorite dish.Parking: Retail parking garage in the building for customers.“
“Wow, so much fun from the atmosphere, the decor, music, and the food drinks. Our waitress was very pretty and professional. I ordered a tiki punch bowl drink, and it was fantastic. The DJ did a great job keeping the vibe up. Bowling was so much fun.It is a bit pricey, so if you are on a budget, just beware.“
“We recently needed a private room on short notice, and OH George’s worked out perfectly. We had about 35 people, kept heavy appetizers and a few meals coming. Drinks were filled immediately. We were very pleased and highly recommend the restaurant for larger gatherings.“
“Was recommended to come here by a local he said it was a must try!! This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! Great job to all the staff (Jorden) and mangers (Chanel)and the general manager (Greg) for a flawless dining experience. I would like to come back here again and again.“
“Excellent selection of IPA's, Lagers, Stouts, and Sours.. Service was excellent and bartenders love to converse with the customers.. They have a lot of canned / bottled beers, ciders and wines to take home as well.. Price is a bit steep though for larger pours and growlers are insanely expensive..“
