Unlike some other Mexican restaurants we’ve been to, the house margarita in this place is a very good one, not watered down and had a good bit of tequila in it - so if you want to relax with family or friends after work one night, this is the place to be, we certainly enjoyed it!“

“No lie this is some good pie.I was looking for a place to hang out as I wait for traffic to die down and I found Andy’s pizza. I sat at the bar and ordered a slice of carnivore, and a slice of sausage and pepper. They came out quick and hot. The crust is thin and slightly crispy. After I finished the main part of the pie, I added Mikes hot honey to the crust for a sweet and spicy finish. I will recommend Andy’s Pizza to anyone. My only regret is I didn’t take any pictures.“

“I'm writing this review after trying Big Buns Vienna branch, and the newest location in Fairfax (which still doesn't have a yelp entry at the time of writing this review). I tried the Classic burger, the Hot and Hefe, and the Shirlington Hot Nashville chicken sandwich.This is not your typical run-of-the-mill fast food burger joint. For the beef burgers, this place makes them exclusively from angus beef which makes for a totally elevated burger experience. I ordered mine medium and they were SO juicy and flavorful.The Nashville hot chicken sandwich (Shirlington) caught me by complete surprise. I didn't expect a burger place to sell such flavorful and truly hot chicken sandwich. It's not for the faint hearted, though. Order your hot sauce on the side and add it to taste if you cant take the heat. But don't sleep on this one. It tastes way better than at specialized hot chicken restaurants.I took away one star because the lower part of the bun gets very soggy and starts to disintegrate by the time you reach home. I would choose dine-in over takeaway for that reason. I hope they work on sourcing better quality buns or figure out a way for their buns not to get too soggy and ruin the nearly-perfect burger experience. Also, their fries portions are small compared to the price.Nevertheless, I'm definitely coming back for more flavorful burgers and hot chicken!“

Ended up here because the place I was going to wasnt open yet and I figured I could blow off some time and have a couple of beers. This place is almost all black inside and is setup to handle a lot of live rock bands. Looked at the menu and its really weird for a rock band bar and I figured no big deal - beers will be good. Telling the bartender about my trip and disappointment when the owner comes out. Would never tell this guy was the owner by the mohawk punk rock look he had but he and the staff are super cool and laid back people. He says let me order you something to try. Out come dishes.Lemongrass beef - thought for sure this would be chewy hard overcooked griddled sirloin steak. Imagine my surprise - super tender, super flavorful sweet sour salty Asian grilled seared steak what I think is a cut similar to flank steak.Next the pretzel sticks with queso - these arent normal pretzel sticks - they have an outside look like pretzels and have a crunch but are soft and a touch of sweetness with almost a donut chew to them coated in a fine salt pepper maybe garlic? powder seasoning. I am a bit of a foodie snob and can cook about anything and have no idea how to replicate because its just a pretzel right? But its NOT JUST a pretzel - soo good.Lamb chops - coated in what I think is a cinnamon cardamon crust grilled to perfection. Incredible grilled tender lambchops.This place is every bit a high end restaurant in a rock bar vibe. The pizza is great and I really like the steak and cheese. It has a nice amount of games, but not so many that it feels gimmicki. Went in on a Sunday evening so it wasn’t very busy at all. The outdoor patio has heaters; low chairs require boosters. Pets are allowed on the edges of the patio. They have a long beer list with some ciders thrown in.Friday evenings gets really packed, so arrive early or late and plan to wait a bit. Pass the time by rating dessert first at the Custard Shack next door.“
“I’ve been wanting to go to Cork for years, and never made it in, so I finally made a reservation for a Friday night and I’m so glad that I did. At first I didn’t even know there was an upstairs section, but we were seated upstairs and it was a very nice atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable and and excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine or have a meal. Our server was very welcoming and clearly knew his stuff. We know a little about wine but not enough to be successful, so we really appreciated the recommendations. I think we could have used a bit more attention during the night but our server was also tending to the bar patrons, so this was neither here nor there. While we did not have dinner the menu, though focused, looked excellent. My one negative comment would be related to the vintners plate (read charcuterie board) which while $24, had nearly nothing on it. However this seems to be the norm in DC these days unfortunately. Overall I would say a very nice experience and definitely would be a repeat visitor.“

I’m happy to have found DC corazon last week, where my partner and I tried their tacos, chicken mole, and carne asada huarache. Today we ordered similar items and added elote into the mix as well as their cheese quesadilla. All I can say is that I’m glad to have a piece of home in DC now. The drinks are also incredible, so make sure you get your serving of both food and drinks when you visit.“

We came from Seattle that had a few of these dog park bars and there’s a few things that Bark Social might benefit from: Better seating for the humans inside the play area (more tables and chairs), a small/timid dog section, and hosting specific breed meet ups - our boy Walter used to LOVE going to the small dog meet ups in Seattle at this place called Dogwood. Once a month they would host meets ups for specific breeds or dog groups, and the entire place would be reserved for 1.5 hrs on a Sunday morning before opening for that specific breed. We really wish we could find something similar here in Alexandria. We’ve been to barkhaus a couple times but our dog is a bit too timid around the bigger dogs and we wished there was a small dog section, also found that the seating and tables inside the play area were limited. With these improvements we would def come back!“

“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“

I took my husband there for a "surprise" belated birthday get-together with family...I wasn't sure if 5 people or 15 people were going to show up! Our family loved the atmosphere and the food was soooooooo good. It was also so family friendly, as we had 6 kids under age 6!
