“Great experience…even on a holiday! This place was practically empty on Easter. Everywhere else was booked completely, but I had heard about OM from a friend recently, so we decided to give it a try. Food was amazing, service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Would definitely return for special occasions, or just about any occasion.“

“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. “Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“

“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.“

“We came to DC for 3 days and 2 out of 3 days we came to Pearls!. I HIGHLYYYYY recommend coming here, even if its out of your way!! “I really wanted to give a 5 star review because the food was incredible, however the service was slow for the price point. Plus, the 4% surcharge added onto the bill is deceptive. Our waiter explained that instead of raising their menu prices, they just tack on the fee. However, it’s not clear on the menu what exactly this fee goes towards. Why not just raise the price by $2 and stop fooling customers?I’d come back for the food for take away or to sit outside- the inside was cramped and very loud.“

“The donuts are filled up soooo much and it was delicious. We were waiting outside til opening and wow, did the line get long! I am not sure if its always like this or if it was because of a race this particular weekend. It was a pretty quick turn around though. Wouldn't deter me from coming back. “Every bite we had here was delicious. Their Lapis Old Fashioned is delectable and Trilogy is a fun take on Mezcal. The Lamb Shank absolutely dissolved in my mouth. The Lamb Masala had incredible flavor and Mahee had a wonderful crust. We had a hard time deciding on the best dessert. The Cacao, Sheer Berenj, Sheer Yakh, and some pistachio cake were a perfect sweet finish.“

They're amazing.Ours came still steaming, and they give you all the tools you need to get into them enjoy them, we got the half dozen regular and with a salad and coleslaw they were a wonderful lunch. The boiling spice is salty and spicy and so good. And being from a Chinese background having apple cider vinegar on the table was a treat. Dipping the meat in the vinegar was how we used to eat blue crabs when I was a kid.“

“Bottom line up front, Cranes is a MUST for DC’s Winter Restaurant Week! From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! “Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

“Great location and nice looking hotel. Rooms are a bit old but generally nice.The service is bad though. The hotel forgot the extra bed we ordered for our kids. We arrived at midnight and not having a bed ready was bad.Breakfast and restaurant service is the worst: they never had a table for us ready, even though we stayed at the hotel. We were then placed somewhere else without any service. I approached the bar multiple times but was told to wait by my table were nobody ever came. All this for a place that charges +$30 for a single breakfast dish.Very arrogant service as well.“

“We walked by this place not really looking to eat but the exterior stopped us in our tracks. We looked in and saw all the pastries and decided to make a quick pit stop. We got a Pistachio Meringue Roulette to share. Mistake. Should have gotten one for myself. The flavors work perfectly together. “The pink exterior of this building is unmissable; it seems to have become a must-visit brunch spot for those living in Georgetown. While we may have forgotten what we ordered, one thing not to be missed is their "spicy honey" - it elevates the taste of the bagel to a whole new level. “The food and cocktails were amazing. We have been in the DMV for 4 years and it’s the best Ethiopian I have eaten here (out of about 20 restaurants). The servings were generous and the seasonings were spot on. Try The Builder cocktail for a nice twist on Honey Mead! My daughter found it on a top 100 restaurants in DC and we totally know why. “This a good place for a bite in the morning or a relaxing dinner in the evening. The menu is okay but could use some better dining options. For breakfast, stick with the basics, trying to over create a simple meal takes away from the meal. The pancakes do need some work though, not sure it they are trying to use gluten free flour but the pancakes just aren’t right. The dinner menu is good but could use some more variety. I do recommend a stop in and enjoy a good meal (just stay away from the pancakes)“

“Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.“

“Moved to area a few months ago the coffee in has the best coffee I've tried within about a 30 minute radius and during my travels past few years. The service is also wonderful, as well as the food. Delicious pastries and tasty sandwiches. Love the variety of options from drinks to food.If you're looking for high quality coffee that offers much more with a great atmosphere for sit in, then this is the place. “This place is a hole in the wall gem find! The butter chicken taco is not what it sounds like. It’s better than that! “2/7/2024: location is right across from Capital One arena. There is a bar area and seated dining. I liked the decor and the booths were divided so seemed private. More wine options than beer, margaritas aplenty. The guac is prepared fresh so go for it. The tacos were intentionally small so you can order different ones. I would come again.“

Definitely had a great time with delicious juicy brisket and other amazing meats and sides..I had the Chipotle green beans and absolutely loved them, in addition to an 8 out of 10 potato salad. I'm super picky about my potato salad. But, it was good, even if it wasn't the best I've ever had.I would definitely recommend Federalist Pig to friends and family and will be coming back!“

“I’ve had nothing short of amazing and delicious experiences at Goodies. My favorite treat is the Boogie Woogie or usually the specials like homemade rum cake! If you see it on IG stories, RUN to Goodies!! You won’t be disappointed. I’ve also tried the Nutter Butter sundae, many different donutwiches, banana pudding, peach cobbler and the Juke Box. All great choices.The kindest humans operate this spot and I can’t say enough about them too. Uncle takes his time interacting with each person who comes through and preparing their orders. Each time I visit I feel like more than a costumer, I feel like family. A moment I was particularly touched by was observing him hold space for a child paying on their own and listening as they excitedly shared their weekend. My heart melted. Children deserve to be seen as whole people. Brandon will occasionally sell his homemade caramel and dinners (recently was jerk chicken, mac n cheese, green beans and cornbread) and has looked out and saved me a jar or a plate when I’ve reached out. Everything is so, SO good!! It’s spectacular!The patio is the most gorgeous place to sit and enjoy the treats. This place can get busy and while I wait, I love listening to the music played on the speaker, when it’s on. They play all the classics! On a few Sundays I’ve gone after church, it was Gospel so I got round two of worship! Haha! I’ve been during slower moments and once, Uncle had come out and gardened and talked about his process. They’ll tend to it through the seasons. To name a few, you may see tulips in the spring and giant elephant ears and marigolds in the fall. Just a beautiful space! When you visit Goodies you truly feel the labor of love and bright spirit each time you visit. It’s like a frozen custard and treats community ministry.“

“Went to this restaurant the other day with some friends at lunch. They offer dine in, take out, outdoor seating. The restaurant is very cute and kept very clean. I believe they are also now partnering with Washington Capitals which is awesome! There's plenty of parking, handicap parking, handicap accessible, bathrooms located on the premises. You can order ahead, order on tablets when you get there, or the bartender is always very sweet and willing to help out. Food is made fresh and comes pretty quickly. Everything tastes great! “Zen Press is pretty difficult to find even if you’re just walking by, although it is surely worth looking for without a doubt. While the menu seems a little pricy, you can customize your order to bring down the total cost. They offer a nice tranquil space. Dogs are allowed and they even have a dog that roams the diner (which belongs to one of the chefs). I think the food is some of the best you may ever have.“

I was craving a little bit of Madrid and while trying to find a restaurant, I stumbled upon this place just a few minutes from my hotel.Right from the first encounter with the manager as I walked in, I knew I was going to like this place.Cristiano and Cristian behind the bar were great. The recommended all those amazing plates. I ended up doing a paella tapa as well as the Argentinian steak with chimichurri paired with a lovely Malbec.Remember, these are tapas, so the plates wont be giant. A couple of plates should get you to where you’d like. And the prices are very reasonable.I definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to be back in Arlington so that I can go back and see my peeps. I made friends with the staff that night. “Lovely little spot in Georgetown for authentic French baked goods. They use mostly French ingredients to get as close to the “real thing” as I’ve had in DC. Staff is friendly, efficient, and there is a nice patio in the back to enjoy your coffee.“

“I really like the bagels here, especially the spicy pastrami. Latkes are also really good, along with their coffee. They admit their stuff is really expensive, but it's personally one of the cheapest eats compared to DC restaurants. This is probably more in the hands of corporate, but it is disappointing to advertise as a Jewish bakery and serve stuff that exclusively has pork bacon, such as the Whisper Walk or the BLTA. It's fine to serve pork bacon, but out of respect for Jewish and Muslims, it would be best to offer turkey or beef bacon options. Again, I know that's more of a corporate decision, but thought I should put this as a suggestion.“

“I visited the West End location with my husband while visiting DC and had a phenomenal experience. Aside from the food being absolutely to die for, the customer service is really what impressed me. At the register, we were greeted by an older black woman who was so kind to share suggestions and explain the menu to me despite being very busy. It truly made the ordering experience a breeze. My latte was delivered by a younger light skinned black male and I am not sure where he received his customer service training by but by far he’s got it down pat. After delivering my order he told me, “have a nice day, okay?” but it wasn’t just a pleasantry, it truly seemed like a genuine request. I am beyond impressed with the food, ambiance, and customer service provided!“

I swapped between both the Reuben and fish sandwich all week and highly recommend either. The bad: My major complaint is that this place is too far from my house but it may be good enough that I start looking for new apartments in the area. I was pleasantly taken to my table by the manager after he noticed my discomfort with the host up front because he said he called our names and we didn’t answer and skipped our names and didn’t want to let us in.
