“Delicious! Very busy during workday lunch, but staff was very kind despite it being hectic.Chill and nice atmosphere.Gender neutral restrooms.Ordered the brussel sprouts with egg, such a filling dish! The tikka sauce took it to the next level.Drink is the Hawaiian Punch, very tasty and non-alcoholic.Ordered a side of Naan, it was topped with garlic and very well cooked.I can see why this is on the 100 top DC restaurants list!“

“Exceptional dinner in a fabulous setting! Visiting from Chicago and we're completely impressed. We are foodie people and used to top-notch restaurants and this was perfection! Staff was very friendly yet professional. We ordered the family style menu and it was worth the price.“

“We highly recommend dLena! The staff was nice, the ambiance was friendly, and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Everything we had was unique, from the drinks to the entrees. Very intimate seating, authentic cooking and presentation, etc can't say enough good things. They also have live Latin jazz downstairs.“

“This is definitely a place to splurge, but absolutely worth it! The ambiance was great. I was there solo while in town for business, and they had two options for single diners, at the bar or the kitchen counter. I sat at the counter and got to watch the pizzas being made fresh. The lasagna is worth the hype, it's absolutely decadent. The s'mores dessert was also delicious.“

“Super cute and cozy restaurant. My personal favs were the Brussels sprouts and Spice Bag. The spice bag doesn’t seem like it’ll be all that since it is just fried chicken, but it is *really good* fried chicken. It’s reminiscent of Taiwanese fried chicken“

“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“

“AVOID OUTDOOR SEATING“Patio” is narrow, covered tent with very little airflow. Compared to immersive and interesting interior seating, I think you lose half the “cool” experience Maydan has to offer.Food was incredible however, and there was so much that nearly every person leaving had leftovers. Service was okay, but again outdoor seating produced a bit of a delay on that front.“

“Not a DC local, but when I visited, I was with my group pretty late at night. This place was one of the few places in walking distance that was open, but I think we lucked out with it. We showed up, were seated pretty quickly, and had some time to look over the menu. There were plenty of options of all sorts, and we ended up eating on the more adventurous side, getting grasshopper tacos and beef tongue tacos. While definitely unusual, it tasted great. There were plenty of other strange choices, this clearly being a great place to try new things. The house made chips were also great, even without the salsa.“

“I went without a reservation and waited for over an hour before eating. There are a lot of people. It's delicious, but not that great, but I think it's okay to eat it because it has historical significance. The raw oysters were delicious and not fishy.“

“Possibly the best food I’ve ever had in the DMV meets incredible service. They didn’t have the dessert we wanted, so they comped us the one we chose instead. Also, as someone who is sensitive to gluten, dairy, corn, and peanuts, eating out is often extremely tricky and limited, but I was able to choose from maybe 70% of their menu, which is super impressive. Great spot if you have dietary restrictions and want a lot of options.Just a note, you definitely want a reservation. This place is busy for a reason!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-, dairy-, and nut-containing options are clearly labeled. Ask about other restrictions if you have them.“

“Visited this place in DC last weekend with family and it's the best! The pre-dinner bar experience was delightful with excellent martinis. The waiter made it special by asking about our celebration. With a party of seven, we tried different entree's and everyone was impressed with the quality and portions size. The waiter was helpful with menu suggestions. We felt right at home 10/10, definitely coming back !“

“First I would like to say that I wish there were more than 5 stars. My son and I are visiting the DC area for the Cherry Blossom festivities. My son has a love for Indian food ever since his trip to India. I have never tried Indian food ever. So this was my very first experience. From the moment we walked in the door our amazing experience began. The atmosphere is beautiful and so is the staff. Our server, April was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She has an amazing spirit and is wonderful with her job! The food... was very fresh, aromatic and DELICIOUS!! My son said the food was the closest to the food in India that he has had here in the states. For my first time... OMG!!! I am HOOKED! The only bad part is that I have to go back to Florida and wait impatiently for my next visit.“

“A consistently great spot in the neighborhood no matter what time of day. Excellent coffee drinks and pastry items (especially the Guava Pastry) in the morning, lunch options for a real meal, and cocktails and food for dinner. Food can be a little expensive depending on the dish, but there has never been a bad one! Cocktails are always creative and well balanced as well.“

“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.“

“This review was a long time coming. I was dying to try out Agora DC after my friend treated me to the Tyson's location for my birthday. Agora Tyson's was some of the best food that I've had in a while, so expectations were high for their DC location. I'm pleased to report, the food quality is identical! That means, A+ all the way around. Please try the chicken, giant prawns, jumbo scallops, octopus and lamb chops.. You'll thank me later!! Both locations have their own charm, but I'm leaning towards the DC version just a hair more because of the the indoor/outdoor seating option. Although I visited when it was cold out, the patio was still booming with the mega heat lamps. It was warm enough to sweat a little...LOL! I've been hooked on Tapas style restaurants since trying out Jaleo many moons ago. Service was great and I've put Agora on my top 5 DC restaurants list.. period!!!“

“Me and my husband came to the bar for a la carte dining, had an amazing time with a very personalized beverage pairing (s/o to Chris our bartender!) We'll DEFINITELY be back to do the entire tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere, not stuffy, great music, GOOD LIGHTING (hard to come by in DC) and overall stellar food. Come here for your next date night or special occasion dinner, you won't regret it!“

“I had a great experience at Ilili restaurant we went to DC to watch the Black Crowes. we had no reservations. We went into the restaurant when they opened at 5 PM... the service and food were incredible. The ambience was wonderful. We were very underdressed, but Treated as though we were wearing our finest. I feel like the waiter, the sommelier, and everyone else under the sun at one point came to the table to offer us wine lol so if you like wine, I think this might be a great place for you as well. i'm writing the review because it was one of the best dinners we've had in many years. I had no idea that you could turn a carrot into something so damn delicious. If you don't believe me, I dare you order those carrots they're gonna blow your mind. I can't stop telling everyone about them, I might even ask the chef for the recipe that's how good those carrots were. make a reservation go to the restaurant.“

“Came for dinner with some of my foodie friends who were in town. We got a bunch of appetizers to share. The Greek wings and the miso salad was out favorite!!The wings were crispy, hot and the dip was a great addition. The salad was super fresh and the crispy wontons on top was perfect. The queso taquitos and garlic olives were really good too. The ceviche was decent and the pork belly was really good. Everything was good and the items came out pretty quickly. We got there around 6:45 and it began to fill up after that.“

“The food and service here are truly exceptional, but I would say this is a special occasion restaurant where you'd be better serviced with better portions at less expensive prices:Pros:Exceptional ServiceFresh and expertly prepared dishesCons:Sushi: although unbelievably fresh, the portions are just not worth the price. Nigiri sizes are incredibly, incredibly small for what you pay.Atmosphere: clubby vibe with very loud music can make it difficult to hear your dining partnersFor me, the price isn't worth the experience. I needed a cheeseburger after spending $200 per person.“

“First time here on a Friday night. We had reservations that were mixed up. Even though the restaurant was expected to be full they accommodated the 6 of us. The owner came over to greet us. I told him that this was my first visit. (Everyone else had been several times) Oh then he proceeded to bring bite size samples for me to try. He then offered up suggestions as to what I need to have for an appetizer, main course and even dessert. Food bursts with flavor. But the real experience here was the service. First class. Thank you all for the dining experience.“

“I am truly a pick eater so anytime I'm able to do a full tasting menu with no worries about having eating restrictions I jump at the opportunity. Oyster Oyster has such a carefully crafted menu for vegans and vegetarians alike. The only element that is not vegan is the oyster they serve as one of the tasting elements. Other than that, it is truly a vegan person's heaven. So much fresh vegetables cooked in ways I literally could not have dreamed up. The Gnocchi mushroom dish served with the broccoli bread was my absolute favorite part of the menu. The bread was served with marigold butter that absolutely blew my mind. Do yourself a favor and also try the Non Alcoholic tasting menu to accompany your dish as it was such a great way to get more fresh juices and tonics to accompany the meal. I highly highly recommend this place to everyone and a round of applause to their excellent service as well.“

“Have stopped in twice, both times for the Happy Hour in the first floor bar area. The drinks have been excellent and the bartenders attentive. The food options for the HH are varied and each dish was satisfying and unique. Highlights are the soup dumplings, pork belly, and khachapuri breads (cannot go wrong with any of the varieties). I haven’t tried for a standard dinner but the tastings I’ve had and service make this a great spot. Street parking only if you’re driving, but the neighborhood is solid and you shouldn’t have too much issue.“

“The place is really amazing. The inconvenience is there are only a few tables and it takes time to the cuisine to prepare the dishes. Be patient. The wait is worthy, the food is delicious and you will be finishing before you think. The menu has also vegan options which is good if you have vegan friends. Etiopian beers are quite good and perfectly mix with the food.Reservations are not allowed.“

“The service at this restaurant is exceptional, from the moment you walk in to the very end. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that their customers are taken care of, earning a solid 10/10 rating with service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with soft lighting and a simple yet classy interior design spread out over two levels. We tried a variety of cocktails and starters, including cassava fritters, pork paw, and jerk wings - my personal favorite. Other starters such as Aloo and Channa Pies and Callaloo soup were also delicious. For my entree, I opted for the oxtail with coconut rice and plantains, although it was tasty, I have had better oxtail elsewhere and found the flavor to be a bit underwhelming.Overall, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try as the service and ambiance alone make it worth the visit.“

“Everything about this restaurant is high class. Reservations are a must. The food and service are top notch. Mixed drinks were prepared very well. We had the chef's tasting menu. While it's at the top of the price curve it's well worth the money. The portions are surprisingly large for the 4 courses one receives. A must if you are in DC.“

“I did a take out of their delicious Aloo and piyaz pakoras for our Iftari a week or so ago. The packaging was great which included a generous amount of their tasty green chutney. “Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

From the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the hostess, from the server, the sommelier, the food, ambiance- everything was perfect. The food was unique, and delicious. “Baked & Wired received so much attention from various websites and reviews - we had to pop by! Georgetown is known for its cupcakes, and I would like to know why!We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We found the the line extending outside the store but it moved quickly. We used the time to visit its website for pictures and to make a decision (we would find later the staff was lacking warmth!)We ordered Strawberry and Vanilla Satin. While the strawberry was touted to be top seller, we found it was way too sweet. We shaved off the frosting and found a deliciously moist cupcake with a fragrant strawberry taste. Vanilla satin topped with dark chocolate proved to be a perfect pairing.Adequate seating in the cafe with one restroom at the back. Good for afternoon break while exploring Georgetown! Also bought home the granola which has a subtle hint of coconut. It was yummy but the hefty price tag $17.50 will mean not a second purchase…“
