“Stopped here for quick lunch. Good selection of seafood with many options ( fried, steamed, etc). Fried shrimp and fish were well prepared. Staff were patient explaining options. One star deducted for charging .25 for cup of water -- neither menu or staff mention that. Really? It's the South, who charges for water??“

“I ordered food to be delivered. The order was promptly made and quickly arrived. The fries are cooked perfectly, not a fan of the ranch at all. The burger was great with fresh ingredients. I wish there was more of a description of the food in the app because I didn’t know it came with tomatoes. The mozzarella sticks are crispy and fat with cheese! Not a fan of the marina sauce, a bit too watery for me. Next time I will try their pizza.“

“Hi Kipp, I wish you were here when I visited today. This was the 1st fine dining place that I've been to where I received multiple calls before coming. 1st call to ask me if I was really coming because it was a busy night with CNU graduating and wanting me to put down a credit card to hold my reservation but changed your mind. 2nd call to ask again if I was coming and to 'set the expectation for the night' advising that you are only a 40 seater restaurant and you want to set your table 3 times a night. So if I could make sure to come on time and not linger longer than 7pm because you have my table booked. Well, I can honestly say that was a 1st. I spoke to other guest while waiting for the restaurant to open to see if they had the same experience. They got multiple calls but weren't asked for a credit card. I did hear another table asking James what happens if they are not done by 7 pm. So James had a table outside cleaned off so that they could finish their coffee and dessert outside. Anyway, food was okay. I'm not sure I could fully enjoy it because of the anxiety of looking at the time. We do a lot of fine dining, so I'm not sure I would rush back since I came in from out of town. The staff you had here tonight was night very friendly andon point. Maybe you could soften your customer service approach for future guests.In my normal reviews I spend more time describing the food. Instead I was more focused on your customer service approach.“

“My first time at yama was wonderful. We had it recommended to us and my wife and i decided to try it. Our usual spot is great but is becoming more and more expensive but that's inflation i guess. Anyways the service was great. Got drinks and food very quickly. The waitress was very kind and offered a a bevy of complimentary free treats like spring rolls and desert. Although i won't expect this every time. The sushi we got was some of the best i have had. The ambiance was quiet, intimate, and although i couldn't understand the music i was vibing a little. Overall a wonderful dining experience and my wife and i will be going back.“

“One of the best if not the BEST Italian restaurant in Virginia. My friend and I were in total awe. After living in Italy for 4 years I can say, I felt like I was back. The restaurant is owned by a Sicilian family, and you could taste that with every bite you took of the absolutely scrumptious food. It was so wonderful. The location of the restaurant is in a shopping center but don’t be deceived by that once you walk in your back in Italy. Many little restaurants like this there!!! I can’t wait to go back. I was seated quickly on a busy Wednesday during lunch and my order was taken by the only server in the place. She seeker to have a rhythm down of getting food/drinks/menus all out to everyone in a timely fashion. First time here and I guess at lunch everyone gets a salad. I thought the dressing was delicious! Not sure if you get it at dinner or what. For food I ordered the fried spring rolls and they had great flavor. Usually I don't find Thai spring rolls as yummy but these hit the spot. I also ordered a chicken stir fry dish (can't recall the name) and it was so tasty and had the best fresh grilled flavor. Also a very generous portion and heaping portion of rice. Lots of seating inside and good for groups. Decor isn't amazing but who cares when the food is this good!“

“This place is a hybrid of self and table service, it works very well. Staff is amazing, the brisket tacos are the bomb, love the small grill on the tortilla. We have gone past several times and always said we should stop, now we are sorry it took so long. On nice days beautiful outside seating. prices are very reasonable.“

“Okay, starting at the top.The Thai chili calamari is AMAZING. I can't remember a time I had calamari that fresh. It was incredible.One dish is the seafood trifecta with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes - delicious! The scallops were nice and fat, the lump crab was fresh and complemented perfectly, and the shrimp was large and juicy. The three were sitting in a bowl of butter with some seasonings....so good.The other dish is Cajun blackened halibut with asparagus and Mexicali Street corn. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The asparagus was fresh and the street corn was tasty...but even better mixed with the mashed potatoes lol.We ordered a bottled of the Joshua Cellars Cabernet which complemented perfectly.We happened to come after work and were not dressed for outdoor dining, but that is no fault of the restaurant - they had some heaters, just be mindful before you go.Lastly, our waitress was Felicia and she was wonderful! She was on it, friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. She had a busy section and that girl did not skip a bit.We cannot wait to come back!“

“I came to Baked today on a friend’s recommendation and I am already hooked. I eat a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches and theirs is the BEST! They chop up the bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly as well. This is not just a pizza place, they have breakfast, sandwiches, ice cream, a big wine bottle selection, full bar, gaming play area and cozy corner. It has it all!! I will be back to work from here and enjoy all they have to offer.“

“We both had the Chipper two piece cod. Great food made fresh, so we waited about 15 minutes but worth the wait. We were greeted upon entering and thanked for coming as we left. Small dining area and clean. Don't let the outside appearance stop you from going in. We are from Texas and stumbled upon the Chipper while we were heading to another restaurant.“

It was awesome, and they had friends from other Thai Restaurants in the area join them for traditional dances for ther Water Festival. It has the same family vibe as the Thai restaurant my friends and I would always go to back home in Hawaii.“

Plus, I was given chips and homeade salsa with my to go order which I did not expect. I loved the garlicky salsa and the chips were very fresh. This is the best Mexican food I've had in Newport News, VA.Vegetarian options: Various vegetarian lunch menu dishes and dinner menu items. I'm not a vegetarian, but the first time I eat anywhere I prefer vegetarian options. I feel if you can't do veggies right, there might be problems. Chichuahua's food is VERY good. I look forward to going back.“
