“The food is..hibachi. its good.We go here because my wife loves it. I on the other hand believe Hokkaido across street is better and WAY more reasonable on the price. We get the same things across the street plus noodles for less than 100 and we always spend about 150 at Kanpai.“

Restaurant is very clean and tidy. It is a smaller restaurant, so if you come with the group, I would call in advance. And when they get busy, they get busy!! Cheaper than sushi places in old town Petersburg , but the quality surpasses the price! They have other things other than sushi based on the teriyaki and hibachi dishes! I love their fried mochi !“

I just wish they gave you more vegetables with it because they taste good too lol. “It is absolutely best to call in and place your order. This is not a store you go to for preheated food. Everything is made when you order, hence the wait. But the food is amazing, every, time. The space itself is not well lit, and could use some updating, but that is the only downside to this restaurant.“

“Have been here 2 times so far, once to dine in and the other for takeout. So far everything we've ordered has been amazing, especially the egg rolls! Get the egg rolls. Our waitress was great and polite. She was quick to inform us that the kitchen was pretty busy so she was sorry for the wait. Which we appreciated, the appetizers and soup came out fairly quickly and we were able to slowly enjoy those while we waited for our sushi and other entree's. Definitely gonna be a regular place to eat for us.“
