“First-time customer and did call-for-pickup (ready in 20 mins); arrived and young gentleman immediately greated me and surprisingly apologized to me, that my 12" pizza wasnt ready and needed 10 mins. Appreciated his honesty and sincere customer service (kinda rare these days) offering me a drink and dessert on-the-house. No issues on my end taking time for quality food and service. btw, tasty pizza and philly-cheese + great fries (light+crispy) + tiramasu! we'll be back!!!“

“Got a medium supreme pizza minus onions and added olives on half. Delicious! Have been to this location a couple of times in the past and it was great then too. Service is really good and the guy that took our order was really friendly. Would definitely come back again.“

“Such a nice ambiance. Servers were attentive and food came quickly. There was so many pastas to choose from there's definitely something for everybody. I kinda got decision paralysis from the options but I got the squid ink pasta (spaghetti Neri) and loved it. I think it tasted the best out of our group's dishes and was complex and delicious although the tagliolini Al funghi was a close second. My partner got the short rib ravioli and we both didn't really like it. It was quite salty in some bites and lacked savory-ness in others. We didn't get to try appetizers or try the cheese wheel as we went on a Tuesday but will definitely come back to try those ! Overall we had a great time. Also for parking there's free parking in the garage and this place is located in the hotel.“

“We need more non-corporate places in Woodbridge. This place fits the bill. Has a neighborhood feel with personality, not trendy rather a down to earth place with honest portion sizes. I believe it is mostly family run. While we dined a family filled up a large table beside us and were speaking Italian, which is a welcomed experience in a world filled with Olive Gardens. Husband had no complaint with his pizza and he is a bit of a pizza connoisseur. My Chicken Florentine was liberally stuffed and the sauce extremely rich and flavorful. The times we have gone there several families were dining, but a comfort place for couples, too. Hope this restaurant continues to thrive“

“Been searching for a pizza place for 2 years. Stumbled across this gem. Best white pizza around. Only critique is that while the crust is great, it’s very floppy. A good NY style pizza has a nice solid base even with lots of toppings on it. And I love the amount of toppings this place puts on the pizza. You definitely have that down. And the sauce that comes with that delicious cheesy bread, is to die for. I know now to order extra. “The best food ever! I went here a few months ago and had one of their specials at the time. The food was so good I could eat it everyday. The nice lady who was serving us was wonderful. She kept checking in on us to make sure everything was going good. The actual place was well decorated and you could see the chefs cooking your food. “Villa Bella is such an amazing restaurant. It can be difficult to get a reservation here as it is really popular in the Burke area, but that's because it is such a unique spot. I love the wood-fired pizzas from here because this style adds to the crispiness of the pizza crust. Calamari fritti is nice and airy, unlike many places where they sometimes make the appetizer too dense or oily. Reasonable amount of salt in the calamari fritti, which impresses me because I don't find that often in the calamari I've gotten from other Italian restaurants. The fried mozzarella and arancini are also some must-haves. Before eating here, I used to not like arancini, but this place has converted me into someone who loves arancini.With pasta dishes, some of my personal favorites are the ziti alla Paesana, manicotti, and ravioli. Their chicken parm pasta is also really good.This cozy restaurant nestled in Burke definitely sets the bar high for Italian food in the DMV and has personally elevated my palate on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and even a faraway drive is worth it in my opinion. I definitely hope to come back here.“

“We just had another office lunch at Giardino to celebrate the retirement of a colleague. The restaurant does a fabulous job of handling large parties. They made special menus and customized the set up perfectly for our needs. The servers are of the highest professional demeanor. They were in sync with the flow of our event, patient with our chaotic social mixing, and totally non-disruptive as they served and bussed around our crowd of 40+ people. And the food is so tasty! Everyone raved about the lasagna, chicken marsala, fettucine alfredo, cannoli, and the bread--YUM. All for a very fair price.“

“I have lived for 28 years on this planet and have had onion rings from an incalculable number of restaurants. I say with complete confidence that Milano's has the perfect onion rings and I can not even imagine any way to improve them. They are big, bready, and crispy with healthy sized onions, just like you would expect from an American grill style restaurant (obviously they aren't an American restaurant, but they do American food very well). But the onion is cooked to perfection and will bite cleanly instead of sliding out and falling apart the first time you rip into it. The outer breading is perfectly fried, but not too oily and maintains its structure. The ability for a kitchen to take a mundane food purchasable anywhere and execute it perfectly is a great sign of a highly skilled staff in my opinion. I live next-door to this place and eat there very regularly. Everything else on the menu is top-notch as well, the whole menu feels very family-recipe style. This is always my go-to spot when I'm feeling sick, it is fantastic comfort food. Their pizza is definitely the best in the neighborhood, although there are a few other joints in Springfield that give them a run for their money.“

“Don't judge a book by its cover. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Fratelli's on Van Dorn in Alexandria Virginia today. From the outside... yea it looks like a locally owned restaurant no special pomp and circumstance. Inside it's clean and nicely appointed. Then you get to the food and honestly this rivals some of Washington so-called best Italian restaurants which I will not name here, but if you're Washingtonian and you've been here a while you know them well and they're not as stellar as they used to be. The Chef owner Manuel greeted us as my husband ordered his second enteee for lunch Veal Parmesan after having a delectable nice size portion of Lasagna. Yes that right his second entree. He's a big eater. I had the chicken Parmesan. All three entrées were amazing pasta cooked to perfection.... the cuts of veal and chicken, amazing, and the sauce out of this world. They even make their own in-house dressing which we purchased a separate bottle of to go. If you're used to Washington's normal fair of Italian restaurants, and you really want something different and amazing, don't hesitate....just go!“

“I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Brothers Encore restaurant on Waterway Drive.I had planned a 40th birthday party planned for my husband with 22 guests last night.We had a reservation at the Montair Country Club.When we arrived at 6pm, the entire club was shut, locked, and lights out (despite a lunchtime call that they'd be open and had our birthday booking). We received no phone call that the club would be closed.From the carpark, I had to phone around town and re-route our guests to Brothers Encore.The manager Tara was exceptional dealing with me being flustered and fitting our party of 22 in the restaurant. “This is a neat small pizza joint chain that you will find in a small strip mall with limited parking around it. They have tables and chairs set up outside, in teh front of the restaurant that customers can eat at. They also have a very small dining area, with a few tables, that you can eat at as well. It is more like a carryout joint with some seating thrown in. In addition to some traditional and exotic pizzas, they also serve subs, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, salads, wings, fries and a few sweet treats. They also have chips and bottled drinks that you can purchase. The staff there was friendly enough. My interaction with them was limited though. You can make your order online, over the phone, at the counter or use the self serve kiosk. I used the kiosk to order an Island Time Pizza. It was ready in about 10 minutes. I ate it in the restaurant's dining area. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. It had a unique and distinct flavor. I recomend checking this place out for a pie to go or dining in. They have some really unique and exotic signature pies to choose from and they also have the traditional favorites as well. Bon appetite.“

“I ordered wings, boneless wings, fries, and pizza. The wings were very large, meaty, and delicious! The hot buffalo sauce was just the right amount. It could have been a bit spicier but then I love my food SPICY! The boneless wings were delicious and very juicy. The pizza was the best I've had in a while and definitely the best in Burke. Our food was delivered quickly and still hot. Overall it was a very good surprise - definitely exceeded what I was expecting (based on my experience with Pisano's in Alexandria and Pisano's in Bailey's Crossroads). I tell everyone I know about it.It's not just that the pizza is amazing, has options by the slice, and excellent pizza topping combinations.You can get pizza by the slice, they have many non-pizza options, and you can dine there. “Havabite eatery has the best chicken souvlaki and gyro sandwiches in Northern Va. We stopped in here not expecting much but were pleasantly surprised by how good the meals were. Most other places overcook the souvlaki meat leaving it dry but at Havabite the meat was tender and well seasoned and the bread was fresh and the tzatziki sauce was yummy and creamy. The only improvement would be on the baklava, which was on the dry side. We'll definitely be back for more.“

We usually have an omelet with home fries and toast or waffles deluxe with eggs, sausage or bacon and have never been disappointed. And note that the homemade baklava and the tiramisu are delicious. “First of all, I did pickup and I live just 15 minutes away. I did -not- make it inside before trying it. It smelled THAT good. Crust? Incredible. Price? Reasonable. TOMATO SAUCE?? Seriously, the best I've had outside of Duccini's in DC. It tastes like it belongs on a big slice, without the commitment of the big slice. 2 Mediums was more than enough for us but they have the large ones if you're looking for it! Also the staff was super nice and personable right off the bat. I'm so glad I got to try this place before I move away. I'll definitely be coming back. If you're at one of the lounges nearby, it would be a great place to stop in. The interior was really cute too, though a little small if it's busy. “I went here with my pops (Dad) we are from LA and are of Mexican descent. Food was good, my shrimp was slightly over cooked by a minute but no biggy, flavor was there. I'm being picky. There's no chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants and the rice with my dish had peas and carrots, rice was a tan color which from my experience isn't Mexican rice. The pupusa masa came with my shrimp which was bomb. So with that said I think it's more of a Salvadoran restaurant. I haven't had much else but my first experience was good.“

“I live 30 miles from Cafe Pizzaiolo so it's not a restaurant I often visit. It is right next to my Volvo dealership in Alexandria, VA. My family really likes it when I take my vehicle in for service. They know I am going to load up on Pizza. I'm from Philly and I am particular about my pizza. “Vocellis is my usual it’s chain in the NoVa area. Especially for a late night pie. The gentleman who runs the shop in the evenings does a heck of a job making pizza. The order status is accurate and it’s always delicious and fresh. I did get shorted some cannolis once. Partially my fault for not checking my receipt getting excited to chow down on a tasty za. I always order take out vs delivery so I can’t speak to quality of that. Vocellis is one of very few spots in NoVA who does thin crust right. I would be very interested in their take of St. Louis style pizza if they ever gave it a shot.“
