The Jumbo Sea scallops were the biggest I've seen. My husband said it was the best steak hes had, and trust me, he eats a lot of steak! Oyster Rockefeller was mouth watering and the seasoning used on the broccolini was a different taste but very good! They definitely have some awesome cooks here!!”

“We haven't been to Yard House at Rivers Casino in Portsmouth for years. We were pleasantly surprised . The ambience was just right. The Gluten free Menue was extensive and very much Appriciated. What made the evening special was Grace , our wait server . Her congeniallity, attentiveness and professionalism made the evening. She has set the bar high for future dinning experiences. Found out later I was in the wrong location😑 Got another drink and chilled out anyway, any place that gets packed, no drama, and at least has gorgeous bartenders, (like the one in the black dress who told me no Absolut to go with my cran and red bull, no more Jameson😫😂) hey lol I already paid the cover and was in a good spot. I'd go back next time I bar hop in Portsmouth.”

“We recently attended the Jackson concert at Rivers Casino in Portsmouth, Virginia, and purchased seats in Right Row D, Despite being three rows from the front and on the right, these seats provided an obstructed view that severely hindered our ability to see the show. NO SCREENS, just a Black Curtin, for the price we paid, this was incredibly disappointing. It's clear that these seats should have been sold at a much lower price, considering the poor visibility. We even have pictures to support our experience, which show the obstructed view from our seats. Rivers Casino should be ashamed of themselves for selling these tickets at such a high price without warning customers about the view obstruction. We expected much better and hope they address this issue for future events.”

“Mom and Son Thai Kitchen is the best Thai restaurant that I’ve tried. My family loves it as do all the family and friends that I’ve recommended it to. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I’ve always liked Thai food, but I LOVE the Thai food from Mom and Son Thai Kitchen. It is very fresh and full of flavor. Everything I’ve had tastes like it was made from scratch with love. My favorite dishes are the Thai fried rice, basil stir fry, Pad Kee Mao, and the Thai Noodle Soup. If you’ve never tried this place, go try it ASAP!”

“Pizza was great, the crust was incredible and the sauce to cheese ratio beats any chain pizza store. There’s an amazing level of authenticity to appreciate and the staff are incredibly hospitable! The garlic knots were a phenomenal starter while I built up my appetite for the meat lovers pie! Definitely will be back with family and friends!”

“I have discovered the best desert spot. The selection of cookies, cheesecake in assorted sizes and flavors. I was originally stuck on the banana pudding cheesecake squares but recently I have tried the Strawberry and Keylime. I have not been disappointed. It is great to visit this location for the ambience and variations of cheesecake. This store also sells no crust and sugar free selections.”

I love spice, and typically order things medium or hot when at a thai place, but their medium spice level green curry was almost too much to handle for me, so if you are sensitive, definitely go for the mild.”

Their food is amazing. This is the only place we go for Chinese food now and we even drive 40 minutes to get here it’s that good. I took my family there for lunch on Saturday, everything was excellent, they were slightly busy, yet they greeted us with a smile, asked if it was our first visit? They helped us by telling us about all the food, which was plentiful and had great taste. We all had Jerk Chicken white meat with 2 sides, green beans and sweet potato. I recommend completely!”

“My husband is a Portsmouth native and put me on to their subs and now i am looking and blinking at the other sub places around. I don't know what combo of dressing they use but it is sooo delicious! There is never a wait but I order on the phone and it's always ready. The bread is always fresh! The owners are very nice. I order the Italian and my husband order the Philly Steak and he will need a sub from any other place! Stop through! I promise you will not be disappointed.”

I was not in the best mood at the time but brightened up once my daughter told me “they wrote happy birthday” (look at the cute hearts!!). Sorry I didn’t notice at the time and thanks for going the extra mile to make me feel special! Also, a while back I went inside to order and remember that the associate was super kind to my daughter. “Seems like the place changed names but their menu still showed this name, the food was pretty good but nothing too spectacular. I do highly recommend the pound cake, it was delicious, they were out of avocado for one of our burgers but the waitress was amazing and went above and beyond to make up for it. Just for that alone I recommend this place.”

“Fairly mid. I went there with a friend as a last hurrah before she moves and it took us 15 minutes to find the building. Its in the same building as the burrito restaurant and the sign was really hard to see. We find it and we stand there for 10 minutes not knowing if we were in the right place because the decor made it very clear that it was the burrito place and we weren't very sure where to go. The owners were very nice and just said that we could sit anywhere and would bring us some menus. We get settled and order and it takes about 25 minutes for the them get started on making our rolled ice cream. 45 minutes later we have 2 of our 5 ice creams. Another lady comes in and finishes our order in 25 minutes. I'm not sure if the first lady was a trainee or wasn't trained specifically for the ice cream side of the restaurant, but took a really long time to get our ice cream, but overall it was a super fun night. The ice cream was ok, and I would probably go back just because of the vibe. Not something you should do if you don't have a lot of time or if you want super good quality rolled ice cream.”
