“Just stopped by with my daughter on our way home from our usual walk to Juanita beach park for a quick bite. We ordered cod fish and chips and it was so delicious; not too dry, not too greasy, not over cooked and the dough was thin and just perfect! The man who took our order was also very kind and attentive to all the customers .“
“We had a fantastic meal at Duke's! The staff was extremely nice, the restaurant is super pretty, well decorated and nice view.It was the first time we had clam chowder and we loved it! Also, the rock fish tacos (or something) were fantastic, so tasty! We recommend every tries it.“
“Don’t underestimate the food in what you think may be a tourist trap type of spot. The food is really good. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the crab chowder. The blackened salmon fish tacos were really good too. They have rotating ciders. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a table by the window. If you’re really lucky the sun will be out for you. Access from 1st Ave. On a Tuesday afternoon they seemed kind of short staffed but still took great care of us. Cheers!“
“Door Dash order. The Boxty were perfectly fried and warm. Good sauces. Adding the mettuce garnish to the to-go order made the bottom of the pefect boxty a little soggy. The irish stew was everything I could hope for. Traditional comfort food done right. The only downside was no plasticware or napkins, even, and no option to select as an add-on item. How do you eat irish stew without utensils? I ended up using the soda bread I purchased and the accompanying butter lid.I would try again, after the plastic cut on my lip heals!“
“Fresh cut fries! They were delicious. Amazing cook on them. My fish and chips was crunchy while still being moist. The tarter sauce was pungent and wonderfully flavorful. The atmosphere was nice. The owner smiled and laughed with us -- a great sign of a quality place.“
“I was in Seattle for the night and randomly found this spot after a Google search of "food near me". I checked out the website and decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. The food was slap ya mama good!! I tried the catfish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies, red beans and rice and some buffalo wings and literally every single thing was fire! even the tarter sauce, I almost licked the damn cup lol. I've tried catfish from alot of different spots in Washington and in Portland but this is hands down the best I've had in the PNW. As a native New Yorker it's hard to find food that reminds me of home but this spot did it for me, it's a 10/10“
“Wow what a treat of a place. Good drinks, good views, and good food.We all ordered different appetizers and we liked them all. The favorite was the crab dip very flavorful, also the crab cake was scrumptious. Also wasn’t overly priced like you normally find in seafood restaurants. We also got the maple bites, but it was literally 1 bite of food for like $10, not really worth it.The blood orange margarita was very good, my coworkers also got other cocktails that looked and tasted good. For entrees we got the stuffed salmon, the filet migon chef special , the burger melt and fish tacos. I didn’t hear one complaint about any of the meals, everyone loved their food. For a seafood restaurant in a higher end mall it was priced very reasonably allowing one to try more items on the menu for less than $100. My only complaint was the sorbet didn’t taste fresh like it claimed. It was crumbling apart as I ate it and not creamy leading me to believe it was pretty old. Also the server took a little while to take our order, but he was a good server besides that. Eric gave good menu suggestions and brought us requested items promptly. I would highly recommend paying Dukes a visit.Dietary restrictions: They have 17 gluten free on the menu items. 3 vegetarian dishes.Parking: It is inside the mall so there is a parking ramp outside where you can park before walking in.Wheelchair accessibility: This is one the 2nd floor in the mall, and the restaurant had very tight spaces that would be hard to navigate in a wheelchair.“
“starting off, i was pleasantly surprised by the portion of sourdough bread given prior to the meal - as I wasn't expecting thatthe bread wasn't anything special - but i did like the outside; found it to be pretty crispy. also, i liked the fact that they gave you butteras a dip, although it wasn't easy to spread it on the sourdough as it was just one big blocki thought the main part of this dish, the salmon sliders, were quite good, howeverthis came in three separate 'sliders', each with a base of rosemary bread, a sliced tomato, and a portion of salmon, topped with pestothe actual salmon itself was ok - personally i thought it was a bit stringy and chewy, but otherwise not bad. being brushed with oil certainlyhelped with the tastehowever, the other aspects of the slider were fantasticnormally, i don't like tomatoes, but it fit really well with this dish. the flavor was there but not overpoweringi also quite liked the pesto as a condiment - there was a solid amount on there - and it added a nutty texture that was goodthe best part of these sliders, however, was the rosemary bread. this was exquisitely good - it was crispy, herby, buttery, and served as an incrediblebase for the sandwich as a whole. i absolutely loved every bite of thisthe other thing that was a great touch was placing the sliders on the bottom of the bread rather than the 'more fluffy' side. this ensured that the breadwouldn't get soggy from the tomato/salmon and had it retain its crunchiness to the maximumthree sliders was also a pretty good portion sizeanother thing i enjoyed was the salad. a lot of places think that lots of dressing, often oil, is necessary to make a good salad, but this place managed to deliversomething that tasted really good and had nice flavor with the use of little to no dressing. i'm impressedat the end of my meal, i got a carrot cake from the dessert menuthis was decently sized, and the cream cheese frosting on this had a wonderful flavori didn't taste the carrot as much in the inside of the cake, but i could tell it was still baked well, and the frosting added a great touchi would say its more of a cupcake than a cake, howeveri came during happy hour, so for the price of about $14, the sourdough bread + the salmon sliders were a pretty good valuei can't say the same for the carrot cake - as while it was good - about 9 dollars is a little too expensive for thatOverall, a really solid and satisfying variety of foods. 8.5/10“
“absolutely obsessed with this place. everything on the menu is to die for. ivars ? no thanks. not just fish & chips ? HELL YES ! got the cod/salmon combo & substituted the fries with cajun shrimp fries as well as blackened salmon caesar. as u can tell from the picture, we couldn’t WAIT to dig in. if u don’t know what to eat, this place is ur answer. <3“
“I went here based on the reviews of the food and the vibe of the owner/staff and those reviews did not disappoint. The food was incredible, I tried a bit of the Shrimp PO'Boy, Cod Fish and Chips, and the Crab Cakes. I highly recommend the crab cakes. The staff was equally incredible, just seemed like they were super nice people with a community that really enjoyed their food and sharing that with them.“
“Great food, great service one of thebbest burgers in Seattle by far. I hope they survive. I appreciate all the years of great american food and service. Always make you feel welcome amd appreciated hard to find that type of csre amd service these days !“
“Take food that exceeds all of your expectations and add the perfect hole in the wall atmosphere and you have the Pacific in pub down next to the water and close to everything (I was visiting the Fremont troll on that day which is only a couple of blocks away)... For over a year I had a co-worker telling me that it was the best fish and chips anywhere in the greater Seattle area. That is actually saying a lot, because one, this is Seattle and we are the world capital of fish and chips, and two, he was an Uber driver for many years and would snack just about anywhere... Guaranteed. I will be back in the very, very near future. One of the most unique fish batters absolutely highlighted this amazing fresh fish and there is a reason that they are famous for their fish and chips. I fell in love not only with the seriously cool hole in the wall atmosphere of the plates, but both of the staff personnel that I had talked to were people that I wanted to go and hang out with. Love this place, love the food, love the location, love the atmosphere, love the people. You have got to go ... And on a trivia and- Anthony Bourdain visited this place and absolutely swore by it“
“Got a fish for a dinner party. My go to place. Nothing fancy, no fish flinging, straightforward great fish, filleted properly. Let the fishmongers take the head and collar for their next day cioppino. You're welcome. Saw the line and it reminded me of the great lunches I had here in the past.“
“It has been years since I was last here because I moved out of the area. It was a Monday night and so it was surprisingly quiet with a lot of open tables. We were greeted and welcomed just after we self seated by a server delivering an order to another large table. Shortly afterwards the barkeeper came across and after handling out questions about what was on tap and took our orders. We didn't order food because we'd eaten elsewhere but their pies are excellent! We had a pleasant evening chatting and they didn't pressure us to order more than one drink each. I'm really happy to report that this pub remains a favorite!“
“We really enjoyed the efficiency of this restaurant; you order at a counter first and then take a tracker to your table & they bring your drinks / food to you. When you are done you just leave as you already paid! We ordered the cod and chips, and the fish tacos. The cod and chips was AMAZING - highly recommend! The fish tacos were good but they just felt like they were missing something. Service was good and food came quickly.“
“You order outside at the stand and find a seat indoors until they call your order over the speakers. The employees are nice, but you don't interact with them much other than to order and pick up the food. The indoor area is a pretty small space but has a simple and woody atmosphere. We ordered the baby prawns n chips and a tanker of white chowder. We shared the tanker between three people, and it was a good portion. It's pretty salty, but it was delicious. The baby prawns were smaller in portion than expected for the price, but they were still good. We ordered an extra side of fries, and we actually all thought the fries were delicious. The sauces (ex: ketchup, tartar sauce, etc) that the employees gave us were pretty limited, so we did have to ask for more. Although this place isn't the cutest or the most well-decorated, it's still a decent place to get quick take-out/bite. Ivar's Salmon House is right next to the fish bar for more of a restaurant feel, but I didn't get a chance to check it out.“
“The perfect late night spot. Ordered here after a late basketball game In the area and it was right on time. Tastes like my momma home cooking. And I love me some fried fish so this is everything to me and I enjoy that they bring the food to you. Great service.“
“We had a nice dinner out. They had been super busy before we got there and ran out of fish so they had to prepare more. The employees were very apologetic, but they got us our fish super quick. It was a great crew working as a team that's for sure.Kid-friendliness: They had booster chairs for our little one and the employees got us crackers while we waited for our fish.“
“Food was generally spot on. Had a fried seafood mix: the cod and clam fritters seemed perfectly crunchy and fresh, the shrimp plump with a thin breading, the French fries were boiled before frying making their insides nice and soft, but the halibut seemed to be possibly not as fresh. The clam chowder was well balanced with larger chunks of clam. The dungeness crab bisque was tomatoey and good. The boiled clams were fresh and not sandy. The service was cordial and informative. The atmosphere was warm and our table had an amazing view of downtown Seattle!“
“I had the arctic cod fish and chips! I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was the perfect blend of crispy batter and fish, so nothing felt overpowering and they were crisped to perfection! I'm also a huge fan of tartar sauce and the fries and fish and chips just went so well together with that sauce. Can't wait to come back and try some more!! Also the folks working the counter and kitchen were amazing and very kind.“
“I placed an order on line for pick up. A friend picked it up for me. I was so happy to see that everything was bagged very carefully and safely. I’m very picky and I was so impressed with the care they took to package our delicious meals. Thank you so much! What a great team you have there!!“
“Ordered online. Food was ready and server sorted into two bags, "Hot" and "Cold". Ivar's chowder with fresh baked and cored sourdough bowl was unbelievably fresh and Full of clams!! Fish and chips was so much food it was 1/2 dinner and lunch the next day.“
“Elliot and David helped make my return to Anthony’s after a winter break a terrific, personal experience. The Northwest Duet (halibit and king salmon and medley)…always outstanding. What made the evening truly impactful for me was the opportunity to create community and personal connection…so needed after COVID and especially now when we’re often devolving into a polarized and divisive world. Anthony’s Pier 66: fresh fish and fresh community served daily…with love ❤️!“
“Perfect food- perfect location. Right on the Lake Washington waterfront across from the sand volleyball court and park with its beachfront sand and shared duck, this location is truly amazing and it is exactly the kind of food one expects that ivor's. Always my very favorite fish cooked to perfection, I like the thickness of the fish. I love their fries. I love their sauces. Ivar's, fish done in the Pacific Northwest where the company started and where it continues to flourish. This is my home location“
