“Don’t underestimate the food in what you think may be a tourist trap type of spot. The food is really good. I highly recommend the crab cakes and the crab chowder. The blackened salmon fish tacos were really good too. They have rotating ciders. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a table by the window. If you’re really lucky the sun will be out for you. Access from 1st Ave. On a Tuesday afternoon they seemed kind of short staffed but still took great care of us. Cheers!“
“The new spuds has risen from the shack! While I did love the old spuds it was so great to see them reopen in the old location with the same vibe and menu! The fish and chips were spot on and was awesome to see how many regulars were coming in and out the storefront.Totally worth the visit if you’re walking around green lake.“
“True American Irish pub! Great food and service! I had the Shepard's Pie and loved it! I was worried it was too much food and it was, prior to a Mariners baseball game. But I had to eat it all as it was so good! So good portions of food and very tasty. The Coke was good as well, better than at the ballpark.“
“Fun bar and restaurant! We went on a Saturday night so it was busy but we were able to get a booth on the back. Service was quick for it being pretty busy. We ordered the fish and chips (cod) and I was a little taken aback that it was shaped like a log, but it tasted good. I wish it had a lemon wedge. We also got the crispy chicken and it lived up to its name-- crispy!“
“This place may not be in a busy area, but thanks to WORTH IT. one of the best YouTube shows ever, I made it to the emerald City thanks to Steven, Adam, and Andrew from the show recommending to the viewers to come. The show recommended to get the salmon chowder and salmon and chips. They were not wrong. Some of the best food eaten. Owner Steve knows what he's doing!“
“I was in Seattle for the night and randomly found this spot after a Google search of "food near me". I checked out the website and decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. The food was slap ya mama good!! I tried the catfish, shrimp, fries, hush puppies, red beans and rice and some buffalo wings and literally every single thing was fire! even the tarter sauce, I almost licked the damn cup lol. I've tried catfish from alot of different spots in Washington and in Portland but this is hands down the best I've had in the PNW. As a native New Yorker it's hard to find food that reminds me of home but this spot did it for me, it's a 10/10“
“absolutely obsessed with this place. everything on the menu is to die for. ivars ? no thanks. not just fish & chips ? HELL YES ! got the cod/salmon combo & substituted the fries with cajun shrimp fries as well as blackened salmon caesar. as u can tell from the picture, we couldn’t WAIT to dig in. if u don’t know what to eat, this place is ur answer. <3“
“Ι love this Irish pub, probably my favourite in Seattle. Food is good, beer is really good, and place is very nice and cosy. Some nights they have events going on and live music. Best time of the year hands down the run up to Saint Patrick's Day. Service is a bit of a hit and miss some times but it's okay. Pricing is decent for the area.“
“Take food that exceeds all of your expectations and add the perfect hole in the wall atmosphere and you have the Pacific in pub down next to the water and close to everything (I was visiting the Fremont troll on that day which is only a couple of blocks away)... For over a year I had a co-worker telling me that it was the best fish and chips anywhere in the greater Seattle area. That is actually saying a lot, because one, this is Seattle and we are the world capital of fish and chips, and two, he was an Uber driver for many years and would snack just about anywhere... Guaranteed. I will be back in the very, very near future. One of the most unique fish batters absolutely highlighted this amazing fresh fish and there is a reason that they are famous for their fish and chips. I fell in love not only with the seriously cool hole in the wall atmosphere of the plates, but both of the staff personnel that I had talked to were people that I wanted to go and hang out with. Love this place, love the food, love the location, love the atmosphere, love the people. You have got to go ... And on a trivia and- Anthony Bourdain visited this place and absolutely swore by it“
“Wonderful and attentive service. Very quaint and fun atmosphere, great for an evening get together with friends or a date. A little on the pricier side for the average dinner, which makes it better suited for a special event or night.Food is absolutely delicious, with generous servings of free bread and drink refills.Scallop Ravioli was INCREDIBLE. Very good portion, presentation, and taste! The breaded & fried salmon bites are also crazy good.“
“Great food, great service one of thebbest burgers in Seattle by far. I hope they survive. I appreciate all the years of great american food and service. Always make you feel welcome amd appreciated hard to find that type of csre amd service these days !“
“got lunch today for .y crew at work. excellent service great tasting food. The burgers were flavorful and juicy. The corn beef box tails were amazing. The return was amazing and the clam chowder is highly recommended It is definitely going to be a favorite place to revisit.“
“What a delight! The view is excellent. Got to watch the sunset, and everyone was super nice and friendly. Then there is the food. We started with the clam chowder. I've had complex chowders that are as good. Well, maybe just Doc's on Bainbridge this was a simple chowder, but wow!!! I think I think it was the ingredients making it so amazing. The fish and chips were good too. Halibut- fresh. Prawns -- delicious. Oysters a treat. Salt your fries. Actually, salt all the fried stuff. Simple. Fresh. Tasty. We will be back. Got a chowder to go, it was so good.Parking: We got lucky and found a spot behind.“
“Not gonna' lie, the fish and chips were fried really well. Couldn't stop enjoying every bite of the lightly seasoned, crispy-fried fish with enough of that soft juicy interior. Also like the wax paper that mimics the whole "wrapping in newspaper" sort of thing like the old days. Nice touch! Pretty quick and very reasonable portions for the price.“
“This is a nice little place in west seattle. Walking in you'll always smell fish. They sell it raw as well! We finally went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious. The clam chowder is a bit peppery but very hearty! We had the pick 3 seafood basket as well as the cod fish and chips. Piping hot. Loved it all.“
“Seattle has the best fish n chips in the country IMO, and breezy Little Chinook’s is among the tops in the city. Can’t go wrong with the true cod and the halibut, but my differentiated favorites are the fried clams (tender and crisp, not chewy) and the salmon taco (lightly blackened with salsa and a creamy slaw). Note that they finish the clams with a sprinkle of salt, so you may want them to hold that depending on your salt preference. They have limited afternoon-only hours; and if they’re closed, big brother Chinook’s next door has you covered, albeit at a higher price point.“
“First timer here and probably won't be last. It was easy to order as you just walk up to the counter and place your order there. Had the special and prawns and chips! Prawns were amazing! Love the crispiness on both fish and prawns. This place was packed when we came in and people just kept coming in! They also have upstairs sitting if downstairs is full. You can also have it to go and eat it by the beach (saw many people did this). Great service too! Ordered the food with sprite and somehow the sprite did not taste like sprite. They almost immediately fix the issue and replaced the drink. Great food, great service, more affordable than other places!“
“The perfect late night spot. Ordered here after a late basketball game In the area and it was right on time. Tastes like my momma home cooking. And I love me some fried fish so this is everything to me and I enjoy that they bring the food to you. Great service.“
“We really enjoyed the efficiency of this restaurant; you order at a counter first and then take a tracker to your table & they bring your drinks / food to you. When you are done you just leave as you already paid! We ordered the cod and chips, and the fish tacos. The cod and chips was AMAZING - highly recommend! The fish tacos were good but they just felt like they were missing something. Service was good and food came quickly.“
“Dude, this spot was totally gnarly! Super chill vibes, not crowded, just how we like it. The grub was epic! We drove like, three hours from Portland, but it was totally worth it for the food. The music was totes laid back, and the whole vibe was just chill, yk? We chowed down on some killer calamari, salmon chowder, and cod fish and chips, and lemme tell ya, it was primo stuff! Like, seriously, freshest seafood I've had in ages, and it came out in a flash. Stoked we found this place and I def recommend!!“
“You order outside at the stand and find a seat indoors until they call your order over the speakers. The employees are nice, but you don't interact with them much other than to order and pick up the food. The indoor area is a pretty small space but has a simple and woody atmosphere. We ordered the baby prawns n chips and a tanker of white chowder. We shared the tanker between three people, and it was a good portion. It's pretty salty, but it was delicious. The baby prawns were smaller in portion than expected for the price, but they were still good. We ordered an extra side of fries, and we actually all thought the fries were delicious. The sauces (ex: ketchup, tartar sauce, etc) that the employees gave us were pretty limited, so we did have to ask for more. Although this place isn't the cutest or the most well-decorated, it's still a decent place to get quick take-out/bite. Ivar's Salmon House is right next to the fish bar for more of a restaurant feel, but I didn't get a chance to check it out.“
“My daughter and I ate here Friday evening. It was such a great surprise. Such a cute, awesome local restaurant and the food was in amazing amazing. Amazing you won’t regret it and I have an outdoor part too!!Vegetarian options: I am a pescatarian and I was able to eat here avoiding the egg and mayonnaise and stuff like that, so yeah the ? is amazing“
“Fantastic hole in the wall walk up counter service in the heart of The Pike Place Market. You’ll not get fresher more delicious seafood and chowder than here at these prices. A Pikes Market rite of passage. The place is been here forever.“
“Food was generally spot on. Had a fried seafood mix: the cod and clam fritters seemed perfectly crunchy and fresh, the shrimp plump with a thin breading, the French fries were boiled before frying making their insides nice and soft, but the halibut seemed to be possibly not as fresh. The clam chowder was well balanced with larger chunks of clam. The dungeness crab bisque was tomatoey and good. The boiled clams were fresh and not sandy. The service was cordial and informative. The atmosphere was warm and our table had an amazing view of downtown Seattle!“
“I honestly love this place. The staff is always so helpful and kind. Food is par for the course for Ivar's which is excellent. I always get the Cajun fish and chips and occasionally some of the white clam chowder when I'm feeling extra.“
“Absolutely fantastic service. Seated promptly without a reservation (not a guarantee, I know). Gorgeous view. Toddler warmly welcomed. Service pacing was just perfect, as nothing needed prompting, but we weren't rushed either. I've given five stars in "service" for less, and really wish there was a sixth star to give.Food was a bit overpriced. Nothing was bad, but six scallops for $52 is a bit much, and they weren't even the best scallops I've had. At least one other seafood item I didn't order had "North Atlantic" in the description, which is great in the midwest, but I came here to experience the Pacific Northwest. With an absolutely fantastic fresh fish market walking distance away, I'd expect a broader fresh local selection.Wine by the glass was good but not great. And their Coffee Nudge tries so hard to be an Irish Coffee. I've had better in Dublin, and I know I'm being snobby saying so, so I can't really dock a star for it. Even if I would, it'd counterbalance with the sixth star for service.Overall great experience. Upon returning, I'd hawk the menu more, and research a bottle for the table to elevate the experience beyond the wine by the glass. Hats off to the service again. It was so great to see them looking out for each other.Kid-friendliness: Kiddo well received, and there is a hidden children's menu with bargain dessert to take the edge off.“
“I loved this place. We came in about an hour to closing with a larger party and they still accommodated us. We really enjoyed everything…mostly. I would liked to have more than one crab-cake for $20. However…I do understand the pricing and how expensive crab meat can be. This is more like a 4.7 type of restaurant but the overall price for the portions served wouldn’t let me up the rating. Also…no oysters when we were there…which was one of the reasons we went. Btw…GO HERE FOR DATE NIGHT! Your partner will love it!“
