“FOOTLONG FRENZY You are the boss, yes you. That's right you are in charge at Subway. "Eat Fresh" and have it your way. Here's the good part. Everyday they offer one of their delicious footlong subs on your choice of breads and cheese toasted or not covered with your choice of fresh veggies and condiments and do it all for $6...yup you da boss! Thursday is my special day featuring their Italian B.M.T my favorite sub forever at my favorite Subway. Since their B.M.T came out I have ordered it many times trying to recreate the hogie the I ate at my neighborhood hogie shop in Wayne PA (suburb of Philly) in 1966 the year that I owned every single baseball card printed. No, I don't still have them Two days ago I went back to the simple basics when I ordered my B.M.T. on white bread not toasted with yellow cheese with lettuce tomato pickle and onion oil and vinegar sprinkled with oregano...no mas. Eureka I found it! Wooshed back in time to Philly Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale I thoroughlly enjoyed my "hogie". My trip back in time was cut short by the customer behind me. He had ordered a Meatball Marinara footlong when the nice lady that built my delicious childhood sub hogie grinder apologized and said that there were not enough meatballs left to make his after the lunch rush. The manager quickly verified that there were only two and seemingly eager to please asked if he would like another choice...seemed pretty normal to me...she tried. Then Mr. Meatball huffed and puffed and said tersely "I'll just have to go someplace else for lunch" stormed out and headed across the parking lot on his quest. Folks there are much bigger concerns in our lives and only a few really important ones at that (a friend explained to me years ago over KFC extra crisp chicken). I would not want to meet Meatball man at 37,000 feet if they have already sold out of teriyaki chicken he wanted or Ruth Chris if the had just 86'd the bacon wrapped filet mignon that evening. The kind ladies at Subway had really tried to give good customer service (misnomer nowadays) however there are always people that lock up puff up and give up. He might have even gotten a complimentary chocolate chip cookie had he been nice polite and somewhat flexible. Take their Oven Roasted Chicken or Tuna or Black Forest Ham or Turkey Breast enjoy your sub sandwich call an old friend or start a new book. When in Newcastle try Subway and my Starbucks next door. “The sandwiches here are delicious. Love the way they are sealed up so you can easily take them on the go. I recommend going early in the day as they will sell out of a lot of the more popular ones by about mid day. You can also order ahead for larger orders which makes it perfect for groups or events!“

“Not a fancy place. Just a well run, delicious sub shop. I randomly looked up sandwiches in the area on my way from the airport. Lots of options like JJ, and JM... I wanted to try something local.I had the heated turkey sub with the bacon aioli. , on the recommendation of the friendly gentleman (owner) making the sandwiches. I didn't want a cold sub. This was a fantastic sandwich on the french bread. The bread was light and crunchy. I only planned on eating half, but couldn't help myself and took down the whole thing. We'll be back if we are in the area.“
“I didn’t eat Subway for a few years after the location near me had terrible tasting sandwiches. Then I found this location and the food tastes very fresh, the owner is very nice and great customer service. It’s the only Subway that I eat at now :)“
“I was in Bellevue when my mom was at the hospital. I probably wouldn't travel out there just for this place but I do have to say they have great bagels. I'm not a New Yorker but I imagine this is what I would get if I were. The staff was quick and the place was clean. It is a small place so I took mine to go and ate in my car.“
“A Killer Pastrami Reubin!! One of the best I've ever had in my life. I must edit my stars ordered a Reubin and it was the worst one I've ever had. They used the hard drierend of the marble rye and flipped it over to make the sandwich. Portion was smaller than usual. I have a pic. Couldn't eat the bread so chewy.“

“So I arrived to 1 employee working up front. The guy in the back didn't come to the grill for 15 minutes. This is NOT my complaint. The staff deserves to take a break and rest. It was around 4 o'clock if I remember correctly. It was the weekend. The girl up front doing sandwiches all by herself was absolutely on FIRE! She had no support but never faltered, never stopped smiling, and never quit moving. PROMOTE this girl ahead of her peers.The sandwich was fabulous as always and although tgis isn't my normal location, I know I can visit it and be taken care of like my other locations. “First time here, the staff was very nice. I had the meatball and it was very tasty! The dining area needed to be cleaned, but I liked the atmosphere. I do wish they had brewed iced tea. As someone with diabetes it's nice to have unsweet tea as an option. I would be back to try a salad.“

The customization options are a bit more limited, but they have all the basic stuff you would expect for a sandwich. I haven't tried the cold subs, but I do see them slice it fresh for others. For cold subs, I like a bit more options for veggies which is why I usually get them at another store. I should try it here once though because they do look good.“

Try the #13 Original Italian on white, "Mike's Way" and your getting as genuine a sub sandwich as you'll find anywhere. I'm typically a "support the independent, local business" type guy but, the product doesn't lie! There are many good, in fact great independent sandwich shops in the Seattle and suburban vicinity. Jersey Mike's, done right, as at the Coal Creek location is as good as any of them.“
