“My family and I had an exceptional experience on 6/20 for lunch. The food was the best Italian cuisine that we have had outside of Italy. The chef/owner is from Campagna, and his passion for Italian culture and cuisine shines in each bite we took. The service was impeccable as well.

“Fifth on Fourth is an absolute gem! This small, family-owned sandwich shop serves up delicious, fresh food at very reasonable prices. But what really sets them apart is the kindness and energy of the people behind the counter. No matter how busy they are, they greet every customer with a smile and genuine warmth. Even my 11-year-old niece noticed how friendly they are—especially impressive when the place is swamped! It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel welcome every single time. We’ll definitely be back again and again!”

The real star for me was the sangria. I first had sangria in Spain as a young Marine, and I've been ordering it wherever it's offered trying to find comparable. Jessica delivers perfection in a glass, the drink is both beautiful to look at and divine to taste. She really ought to make it by the barrel, she's got a gift.

I will most definitely be revisiting when I'm in area.”

“Food A+ perfectly cooked generous 12oz NY steak & Blackened rockfish! Flavor excellent on all sides. Server A+, this was our first visit and Victoria helped with all our questions like family. After ordering the wait for food was long but we were in no hurry. It would have been nice to have something to nibble on. We hadn’t expected the wait so we didn’t order bread or salad, everything is extra. The place could use something acoustic to cut the noise a notch, simply voices overwhelm the place. Music from the venue next door wasn’t a distraction, it was fine. Parking can be difficult. All in all, we will be back for the A+ parts make it way worth the visit.”

“A little korean restaurant that is tucked in the shopping strip. 12 seatings and bright interior. Every time I go there I was greeted right away and the service is always quick and pleasant. Foods are tastier than usual korean restaurants. However, small dishes are lacked kinds and not typical sorts.”

Ordered a chocolate milk shake, a burger and two order of fries. The burger was so big that I was able to share it with my daughter.
Shake was in a small cup.
Microphone is a bit old so you hard to speak a little louder and clear for them to capture your order.

Please be nice to the people working here, the time I went it was super busy and someone behind me was being a bit rude to them. The lady at the window who takes the payment is also the same person who is taking down the orders.

“I’m not sure if she was the owner or a staff member, but the woman who took our order had such bright, positive energy and was very friendly. I really appreciated how attentively she took care of us throughout our visit. We ordered the spicy stir-fried squid(오징어볶음) at level 3(spice levels range from 0 to 5) and galbitang(갈비탕). Some people might find it unusual that the galbitang comes with egg, but this style does exist in Korea. I especially remember having it quite often a long time ago. Overall, the side dishes and everything we had were not too salty and suited my taste perfectly. Our first visit was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!”

“We always sit in the bar and we always receive great service. I want to call out that Matt handled a really rude customer on 12/2/24 with calmness and kindness. There was a mixup regarding checks with the neighboring table and she had her salad comped, but she didn't understand why. He explained multiple times (who complains that their meal is being comped???!) until he finally said he needed to keep moving to help other diners, and her dining partner actually raised her voice and cursed at him. He should be commended. Our meal was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly, service quick, and sides all correct and accounted for.”

Driving from the west, you may gawk at what may be the largest homeless encampment in WA; doing so, you'll blink and miss Fatso's. Next to the weed shop in a non-descript building, I had the fatso double cheese which is a great deal at $15.99.

Great house-cut fries as well. Only downside was that they charged for a tiny cup of bottle ranch.”

“I popped in hungry right at noon on a Sunday. I ordered and had my food within 15 minutes. I got the pad see ew with tofu, a favorite and baseline dish for me. Spicy 2/5. There are plenty of veggies, the noodles are the right texture, the spicy level is right on, and the servicing size is perfect. I love the music and the server is lovely. Come check it out!”

“We do girls nights at West Side El Sarape on a monthly basis. Last night, the chicken was dry in the fajita salad that I ordered. Definitely over priced for a typical salad and some chicken. My bill was $61 after ordering 1 drink, fajita salad and to hold off on the order to go, fajita quesadilla. Instead, she brought it to the table a good hour before we left and said its still warm. She never asked if I was ready to have it made or even leave. When I got home, the to go order was not what I requested, instead, fajitas. Very over priced and disappointed. Did price changes happen on the menu that do not reflect online menu?”

Although the food is good the portion size leaves something to be desired, especially for this particular diner which they charge almost $30 for. I did not photograph the salad or cornbread, as the focus is particularly on the protein.”

Didn’t realize there was a 18% automatic gratuity added for large groups which is fine but they don’t give you a receipt so you end up giving an extra tip on top of the one already had on the bill. “I had my first solo lunch experience at Budd Bay Cafe, located right along the boardwalk at Percival Landing Park. The setting is beautiful, with peaceful waterfront views and a steady flow of people enjoying a walk along the boardwalk with their families and pets. Sitting by the window with the sunlight reflecting off the bay created a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. For my meal, I ordered the Panko Style Pacific Cod platter, which was recommended by my waitress since catfish was unavailable. It was served with french fries, coleslaw, and sides of ketchup and tartar sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—with great flavor throughout. Everything on the plate was fresh and well-prepared. I also asked for a drink that was sweet with a hint of sour, and the waitress suggested one of their signature cocktails made with strawberry vodka, triple sec, sweet and sour, Starry, and strawberry purée, served in a pink glass. It was refreshing, balanced, and complemented the meal nicely. The service was attentive and thoughtful. My waitress made helpful recommendations and ensured I was comfortable throughout my visit, which I especially appreciated as someone new to the area and dining alone. Although I considered dessert, I was completely satisfied by the end of my meal. Overall, this was a very pleasant first dining experience in Olympia. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for good food, a calm atmosphere, and a lovely waterfront view.”

“My wife and I had dinner at the Martin Way Red Lobster yesterday. It was by far the best dinner and overall experience we have ever had at Red Lobster. We live about half way between Olympia and Longview, due to traffic we usually go to the Longview Red Lobster. We have had many "ok" dinners at Longview. Yesterday we went to Olympia. The service was great and the food was perfect. The last month has been a rough one and we needed a good night out to relax. It could not have been better, Thank you. (P.S. “Red Lantern in Olympia absolutely earned a five star review from me. Every single dish hit the mark and it all came together into one of the most satisfying dinners I have had in a long time. The pho broth was deeply savory and delicious, and the beef rib was perfectly cooked and so tender that it came off the bone with almost no effort. The noodles and herbs had that amazing, just right texture that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite. The tom yum with tofu was the most perfect balance of sour and heat, bright and fragrant without ever feeling harsh, and every vegetable in the bowl was cooked through but still had good bite. It is the kind of bowl you keep going back to even when you are already full.
The summer rolls were so good as an appetizer that I honestly considered just ordering a second round and calling that dinner. Fresh, clean flavors with great chew on the noodles and a dipping sauce that pulled everything together without overpowering it. The jasmine tea was a perfect addition alongside all of that, soothing and floral and exactly what you want to sip between bites of hot broth and noodles. Put all of that together with a cozy downtown Olympia location and you get a spot I am already planning to come back to and recommend to friends.”
