“Winslow is a fun little place to get to know a new lady friend. It is easy to find a place to park, then walk around looking into the little shops, people watch and enjoy each other’s company. Last weekend, our spot of choice was Coquette Bake Shop. It is in a little shopping center that has a pretty high turnover among the stores. There is a reasonable sized parking lot that can get full during nice weekends. As I mentioned, I was parked just outside of town and had walked in, so I didn’t have to deal with parking that time.The shop is clean, but cluttered with random carts and piles of boxes. The door leads to a small counter area where pretty girls take your order. I’m told that in the Summer, the lunch line runs out the door. There is no menu, just a bunch of samples in a glass case. There were sweet options and coffee was available if you are looking for breakfast, but we were there for lunch.I picked the ham sandwich and my date got the spinach quiche. The items in the display case had been there awhile, so I was glad that the items they served came out of another case and were fresh.We also got a couple of drinks from a cooler at the end of the counter. The pretty girl rang up our food. It was nice to see that the total came to just under $20. We have spent much more on lunch at other places. When the quiche was warmed, we took our stuff to an attached room and found a table. The decor was strange - bricks on one wall and bizarre 3D like wallpaper on another. I found napkins on a cart next to a coffee carafe.The food was amazing. My date dug into her quiche and declared it delicious. My sandwich was on a perfect little baguette that crunched and chewed just the way I like. The ham was full of flavor and the brie added a lovely gooeyness to each bite.We hung around after our food was gone to chat and people watch. There was a steady stream of customers, but it never got crowded. Maybe it would if the weather was nicer. I know that I will be back.“

“I absolutely love Round Table. They are consistently fantastic. The original crust is always tender and golden with the perfect amount of chew. The toppings are always fresh. My favorite pizza is no longer on the menu, but they will it make by request: the Smokehouse Combo with pepperoni. It has red sauce, pepperoni, linguica, Italian sausage, tomatoes, red and green onions, and a BBQ drizzle on top. The last time I ordered the server was actually excited to make it and thanked me for teaching him a new pizza. He gave me a 10% discount because it took him a little bit to find this pizza in the archived list.“

“Second time here and can confidently say that this is a must-visit while on Bainbridge island. The food is reasonably priced and the menu is very diverse. For what it’s worth, we couldn’t make a reservation online but we showed up and got a table for two outside immediately.As far as the food, we actually came here the day after they changed the menu for the season so lucky us! Attached are pictures of the Thai iced coffee, taro egg rolls (gluten-free but delicious), pineapple rainbow trout, the caramel popcorn bread pudding and the seasonal panna cotta!A few honorable mentions (no pictures unfortunately!) from our first visit include the soft shell crab roll, the chili lime calamari, and the fire roasted clam!“

“I ordered the shrimp lover roll and the vegetable roll. The veggie roll was good. The shrimp lover had a shrimp tempura made at least the day before. It wasn’t crisp, it was like soggy cardboard.Vegetarian options: The vegan roll is super tasty. It has fresh and pickled vegetables.“

“This is by far the best Mexican place in all of Bremerton and one of the best in all of Washington. I have been searching for years for any even decent places to get Mexican food and thankfully the last couple years it has gotten better throughout the state but this surpassed my expectations by far, as I had come to expect mostly ok here at best. Service is good and staff is pretty friendly as well. My only feedback is that they post what the happy hour is better so we don't need to have the waitress/waiter explain it. We will definitely be coming back and so happy to have found this location!“

“Great little gem of an Italian restaurant; bags of charm, super cool staff, lots of good seating options inside and out. Oh, and the food is really great; my margherita pizza (with added salami) was outstanding, and my wife raved about her Caesar salad. The prosciutto and brie focaccia was also great. “Classic diner feel, with lots of tasty comfort food. There's a wall with newspaper clippings, cartoons, and a napkin with something written on it (I sat too far away to read it). Staff is super friendly and we got our food quickly.Kid-friendliness: Kids will like the decor, plus there's lots of kid friendly items.“

“Stopped by on a whim while running an errand in Silverdale, and I’m so glad I did. Asked our server what he recommended, and he asked permission to choose dinner for my husband and I. We agreed and ended up eating the most delicious food. Started with their flaming choriqueso, then an order of birria tacos and a delicious molcajete with warm tortillas. We will be back any time we’re in the area. Highly recommended.“

“Emmy’s is and always will be my favorite place to eat! Great for dine in or take-out and has a huge array of amazing options! #13 is my go-to with #2 on the side. However, the rest of the options are just as yummy! Highly recommend eating here, it’s always the first stop I make when I’m back on Island!“

“One of my FAVORITE things I did in Seattle! Bainbridge Vinyards is the only winery on the island that grows all its own grapes, and grows them all on the island! The tasting fee is only$18 for 4 tastings. We shared one, and the man pouring was so friendly and gave us a smidge more each pour because we shared. It worked and we obvs ended up buying more glasses, lol. The tasting takes you through some really unique wines. They offer snacks too, and allow you to bring your own. You sit on the patio or can even move closer to the vines and eat amongst the grapes! If I lived here I would come here every weekend. It was so peaceful and idyllic. It should be noted, do not be fooled by the bus route which seems like it will take you close enough you can walk. The bus in Bainbridge is impossible, did not come when it was supposed to, and we luckily got an uber (I guess there are only a few on the island, so don't depend on uber). During the drive, I realized how treacherous walking from the bus stop would've been! Do not rely on public transportation or uber to get you here! Rent a car or call a car service if you are from out of town!!“

“Went there on a windy and cloudy Saturday evening with my friend who loves wine tasting. They offer different wine tastings - Just Reds, Mixed or Custom. They also have some 'Library reserve' wines for tasting that o saw later. Each tasting has 4 wines. Between me and my friend, we got one Reds and another Custom. My favorites were there Barking Red, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose. Me and my friend shared our flights to taste as many as we could. Ordered their cheese platter to snack with the wines. They waive off the tasting fees if you buy 2 bottles. We liked their wines and bought 2 bottles each. Barking red (red blend) and 2022 Sauvignon blanc for me. Barking red and Sagrantino (red). All their wines are made in Washington. We got our dog along so we sat outside. They had outdoor seating with umbrellas, didn't see any heaters. It was manageable for us but I don't recommend that for colder days. Overall a good experience.“

“I am pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food is for the price. I like it better than Panda Express. I usually get combo 3 with noodles and it gets me full...this says a lot because I have a voracious appetite. I usually get the bourbon chicken, hibachi chicken, walnut shrimp (doesn't have walnuts), orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and kung Pao chicken...all delicious and even more so if they just came off the wok.“

“Menu has been changed a bit over the years, but the burger and fries still hit. Always a nice outing with a heated outdoor patio and some hood and quick service. Limited hours though, so make sure you plan ahead as you can only get dinner here on thursdays and fridays. Nonetheless, great lunch spot for a hearty fill up“

“We ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich with a side of slaw, baked beans, and potato salad. The sandwich came with steak fries which were too much. The BBQ was amazing, and you could taste the right amount of smoke in the meat. The potato salad was good, and the baked beans were fantastic with a bit of ground pork in them. It is the second time we have eaten here and it does not disappoint. Just keep in mind that in busy moments the food takes some time... So don't get there extra hungry! The service was good but they could use a couple more people....the place was packed and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed.“

We were in town for a couple days and visited during a power outage due to high winds, the restaurant was clean, their identity was clear and the staff is a well oiled machine. We believe the mother or the matriarch of the restaurant came out to greet us and thank us, which is a very important part of being in the restaurant industry that they acknowledge you and thank you for your business. Our host of the Airbnb gave us a very detailed manual of restaurants and places to see and this was one of the restaurants with high reviews and definitely a must as this menu is extensive and offers as well as other key items for those loving Thai food.“

“The Treehouse cafe recently got a new owner so I think they are still working out some of the kinks but we had our rehearsal dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. We seriously could not have asked for a better night and everyone had a blast. I do not think they were prepared for our crazy latin family, but they handled it with a lot of grace and provided exceptional service. The pizza was delicious and the wine was flowing, everyone loved the space and the outdoor seating was a great option on a hot August night. I will definitely be back to the Treehouse Cafe next time we are on Bainbridge Island. I would also strongly recommend them for events!“

“It has been awhile, a few years since we have ordered from Bene. We loved it when Mark was the manager but felt that it slipped a bit afterward. I'm so happy to have gone back! Take out and delivery only now, at least for now- but the increased focus shows in the food quality! We had a 14" half SMO, half house. It was ready in 20 min, fresh and delicious. So happy to have our favorite take out pizza back.“

“Possibly my favorite pizza place in the Seattle area. Always make a stop here when visiting the island. It tends to be busy but we’ve never had a long wait and the staff are always great. As for the food, everything I’ve had has been stellar. The staples, like the Margherita D.O.C. are always winners but don’t sleep on the seasonal pizzas. Last time we had an asparagus and ramps pizza that I would literally murder for. So good.“

I goofed on my order that I did online and called to have it delivered rather than for pick up. They reminded me of the delivery fee which was no issue. “I ordered the salmon panang and my spouse ordered the chicken Yakisoba kee mao with noodles. Salmon was perfect and delicious. Spouse enjoyed the chicken. They serve wines from eleven winery and we tried a bottle of the Ratio Blanco. It complemented the medium spice of our Thai dishes. This time of year the island is less busy. While we liked not waiting for a table, I can tell the locals are out enjoying the sunshine when they could enjoy some amazing Thai food. We will definitely come back.“
