“We came here with high expectations (which may be the problem) due to some friends giving us raving reviews. We both were not blown away by the food. We enjoyed our meal but felt like it was very expensive for what we got. There wasn’t anything “wrong” with the food we just didn’t love the flavors and options on the menu. The service was great and we enjoyed the ambiance.“
“First time going in to this place to eat. We’ve ordered delivery a couple of times in the past with mixed results. But this was sooooo good! We will definitely be returning. I got the chicken Piccata which was the special. The portions were huge, came out pretty quick and super yummy. I also had a cup of clam chowder that was very tasty. My husband ordered the Ribeye dinner. Everything was tasty. I stole a piece of his broccoli and that was cooked perfectly and perfectly seasoned. Very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Excited we’ve found another great place!“
“What a great meal. We were recently in San Francisco and the Thai Wok was equal to or better than the Thai restaurants in the Bay area.MARCH 2024 Took out a plate of drunken noodles (medium spice) with chicken. Excellent. Too spicy for my wife so watch the "heat" level you order.“
“We love good Mexican food and this place has it! We are blessed to be able to occasionally visit Mexico and this place is nice for in between vacation times. Very friendly staff and the prices are reasonable, in my opinion. Check them out! :)“
“Went for an early Valentines Day dinner. Service was very good... Shelly C was very accommodating. We ordered the Dragon calamari but was not expecting it to be poured on the calamari. Love the original calamari but thought we would try the new one. But it was sweet and wasn't what we expected. . We told Shelly and she promptly took it back. Next time we will stick with the original ....with the jalapeños fried in ... yum. My husband had the ultimate feast with theP0 choices grilled scallops, shrimp scampi, Maine tail, and shrimp skewer. My favorite drink Sunset Passion colada.... I have even had it non alcoholic.. I ordered the lobster tail duo... an Australian tail and a Maine tail. With a side salad instead of anything else. It was amazing! And enjoyed it all. This was a fantastic Valentine's dinner...love the cheddar biscuits. I love the Lobsterfest.“
“Decent food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Always busy.UPDATE April 2022...Still very busy for dinner. Service was still a high point .. professional , prompt and friendly , even more exceptional considering how busy they were this evening--thank you LQ!!I ordered the crab cakes appetizer , the sea bass and the lamb chops.Presentation was nice. The crab cakes were ok, not great. Definitely too bready and not enough crab , especially considering that we live in the PNW.The sea bass was very good...mild and flavorful. The lamb chops were also just ok too--a bit chewy and not quite warm enough. Not bad just not great. The vibe and buzz at Hudson s is good and definitely a plus. All in all ...come for the vibes and the service . Again, I thought most of the food could have been kicked up a notch or two.“
“I have to amend this review after a couple more visits. We live only 3 blocks away so went again and sat at the bar. Definitely less noisy. Nice bartender, friendly and talkative. Fondue always amazes. We were still hungry so tried the happy hour fish and chips. It was amazing. Light, perfectly cooked, light batter, great fries. Very impressive. Then, visit #2 last night. Happy hour and couldn’t wait to order fish and chips again. Disappointing before even tasting it. Two tiny pieces of fish no bigger than frozen fish sticks. Much smaller portion this time. Overcooked and tough. Fries limp and soggy. I asked for coleslaw and got a few shreds of plain cabbage! Nothing at all on it. No dressing, no flavor just raw cabbage. I’ve never had “coleslaw” like this. Overall extremely disappointing and sadly have to add Wildfin to the “hit and miss” category. Why can’t a kitchen be consistent? It needs to be great EVERYTIME.It’s not worth the risk to drop $50 taking a chance it “might” be good.So close to awesome but Noise, noise, noise. Food is good. Fondue excellent and highly recommended. Service good. Our waitperson awesome. Don’t expect a quiet romantic table. It is extremely loud, packed or not. Decided to give it a second try after the first ear splitting experience. Walked in and only one table was occupied. Group of 8 businessmen. So loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Must be the acoustics. Moved outside and had a beautiful happy hour watching the boats on a perfect late summer day. For that it can’t be beat. Might bring some earplugs next time.Adding this after several months. We’ve been back a couple of times. It seemed a bit inconsistent. Some bad experiences. Then last time we went we had the most amazing meal. Get the street tacos. We had the fish one and the pork belly. Absolutely delicious. Your mouth will thank you. Hopefully they are trying to get all the kinks worked out and go for excellence.“
“The food here was delicious. Maybe a touch underseasoned though. It's one of the rare places to find a chile Colorado burrito in town. It was very good, but it had an unusual flavor to it. Not bad, just not traditional Colorado flavor. We were there on new years day and there was only one guy seating, waiting tables, and bussing. He did a great job considering how much work he was doing and kept a friendly attitude the whole time.“
“This was my first time eating here. We'd heard that people just throw their peanut shells on the floor. I couldn't decide if it was fun or annoying to be stepping all over the shells on the ground. The food was fantastic though! Best Country Fried Steak I've ever had!!! So yummy!“
“Took my visiting sister to this eatery. We both enjoyed our main entrees and Appetizers. I ordered mashed potatoes for my side dish. The potatoes were ice cold like they had come out of a refrigerator. Obvious the potatoes were prepared earlier in the day and refrigerated.“
“I was so happy to find the Vancouver location- I've gone to the former Portland locations many times. Hands down the best wonton & roast pork soups in the metro area. The quality is consistently high, great service, and quick. Highly recommend!“
“I have come to Black Angus since I was a kid, and I was devastated to hear that so many of the restaurants had closed. This place was an absolute treat as a child. I grew up in the now dead middle class, and coming here was a nice night out for my family and we always loved the private atmosphere and great staff. I'm so proud to see they still stand today, after everything. The steaks are still great, the potato skins still knaw at my dreams, and heck even their rice pilaf is killer. I will come here until the day they shut the doors for good, which I hope is never. If there is ever a way to keep this great business afloat, I will always support it. You should absolutely come if you want a nice, comfortable, private and delicious night out. This is such a great first impression date spot.“
“Food was great overall. My dish was scallops with risotto, and I loved it. Others in my party also liked their dishes - steak, grilled fish, etc. You might want to check if Calamari is fried or not. We expected fried, but it wasn't.We dined on a busy night, but I would have felt better about the service if the server said "I'll be back with your change," rather than asking "Do you need change?" We ended up telling her to keep it, but it didn't sound good to me.“
