“Dean and Sue, the owners, are terrific. The bar staff is still trying to keep up after 15 years of ownership. They are great as well, BTW. This place is the true Milwaukee corner bar. “We came here for some pre-dinner drinks on a Wed night and it was so cozy and festive, and not too busy which was a plus! The bartender was so sweet and gave me lots of tasters before I decided on the Vienna Lager (so good!). The lounge area with chairs and a couch set a great mood to enjoy a couple beers after hitting the Christmas Market. They have the coolest mapping of beers on the wall, honestly so informative to understand what beers come from what family (with specific examples of each one) and what glasses to drink them in. Downtown Tosa was so cute and we look forward to going back!“

“We had an amazing time last night at McCoco’s! Miguel, the owner came and greeted us and checked on our table many times and is very friendly and kind. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend friends and family to enjoy a meal or two there as well!“

“We had potato leak soup- the best I have had. I had the half chicken special- super moist, covered in country gravy (choice of having it on the side) & mashed potatoes (needed salt) but real potatoes and good when salt added. Service was impeccable, we were there for lunch. Wheelchair/walker accessible back door. (would be a long walk). Outdoor space looks amazing- I plan to go back when the weather improves. Service was freaky fast. Bourbon choices galore & bourbon old fashioneds on tap. (I will be trying those next visit too!). Bonus -gambling machines too.“

“It was our first meal after flying all day. We ordered the hot garlic wings (extra crispy), French fries and a side salad. As far as flavor, the wing sauce was unique and tasty. The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great.As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. First of all, Schlitz on tap ???? and one of the few places I know that serves Cusquena (extra delicious golden lager from Peru). The food is served quick after ordering, it's comes out nice and hot. “Cat lovers we have a new hangout! We had a great time at this place! I saw the name and knew I had to check it out. It's a nice corner bar in west Allis with lots kitschy cat decor and some that's honestly cute. The bartender was super friendly and told us about all the upcoming events and specials. It's whiteclaw Wednesday and they're $3 each! Will definitely be back!“

You don't have to be a regular to feel at home.Kid-friendliness: I stopped in with my 10 year old daughter to get my phone charger that I left there, and a biker (Harley, not peddle), played a game of giant Jenga with my daughter and served her a Kiddie cocktail. “We were staying at the hotel down the street and easily walked to this great neighborhood bar. The bartender,Cindy, learned our names and drinks right away and we enjoyed talking to a couple of the local folks here. We had a bar pizza that was pretty good. It was a nice evening and would drop in again if we passed through again.“

“I know of a time when there was a bar every two or three blocks in that neighborhood of south side Milwaukee. The Pressroom has that welcoming feeling which is now rare in urban areas. “We came here late one Saturday evening because our group wasn't quite ready to call it a night and we ended up almost closing the bar down! It's your typical bar - a step above from a "dive" bar, in my opinion. The staff was nice and we got our drinks quickly. The gin and tonic was reasonably priced and tasted as expected. Overall a perfectly good late night drinks option with friends, but it was very very loud. The music was blaring and the people were trying to top it with their conversations. This is definitely not the place to go if you want to have a conversation with your group without yelling. They did have darts and some slot machines in the back.“

We go for the Friday Fish Fry, they take your order when you arrive and seated when food is ready. They are always packed but with their efficient system you get served in a reasonable time.Dietary restrictions: I had the Baked Cod with Butter no sides .Parking: Parking lot can get full when busy but there is street parking adjacent to restaurant.“

Pickup fish fry isn’t usually something we do (thanks kidney stones for ruining our night) because it gets soggy but tonight we had to and it was really good. They packaged everything separately so the tartar and the slaw weren’t warm sitting in the container with the hot food, I had the combination platter and the package the baked cod in a separate soup container which was great. My husband had the blue gill and really enjoyed them as did our 5 year old. The food was all really delicious and I can’t wait to dine in next time. They have a pool table and the best darn free popcorn I've ever eaten at any venue. It's always a fun time at Devines. Bartenders are fun and keep the fun going. Come on out to Brookfield to have a brewsky at Devines, N. 124th about a long block north of Capitol Drive. Bring your well-behaved/social k-9 along to join in on the fun. All the popcorn on the floor is for the dogs. Humans get their popcorn from the popcorn machine.“

“After driving past this place for years I said to myself let's stop by and check it out because it was a cold damp/rainy afternoon and a perfect place to chill. The place has this medieval theme with a suit of metal and other pieces on the walls. The place has a small bar with a few tables, gaming machines etc. They have a unique shot game with numbered brown paper bags and a dice you throw which determines what you get, you have no idea of what you get and the bartender doesn't either. A 1 one a 6 on the dice gets you your choice of the brown bag and 2 through 5 you have to drink that bag. They also have a card game Tommy was playing with customers that I have never seen that people were excited to watch and in the end took $1 from the customer. Tommy was my bartender who knows how to pour a drink but didn't understand the gin Rickey and made it with a lemon after I told him twice how to make it, he promptly fixed that. The place is all regulars coming and going who don't live in the neighborhood because one guy lives in my neighborhood so people make the drive. Overall it's a unique dive bar with decent prices and friendly people.“

Once our server, Kayley, noticed that we had been waiting for a long time, she was very very accommodating and very apologetic about the wait. “Da Bar is a fun bar wth pleasant staff. The new bar up the street called Da Bar and Grill sells the food. Ive never tried the food there yet though. On sundays for football the owner has free buffets in back area from Rupena's which is a very nice gesture. Stage area in back for bands and party room to rent out if you want to host something there. Little dingy in back tbh could use a new floor as well but other than that its good. Owner is very kind and fun. Enjoy his gaming machines and looking forward to the shuttle bus starting this spring for Brewers baseball games.“

“Boyfriend and I came here for the first time today. We are new to the Tosa/Brookfield area and wondered what this place was all about. This place feels like a second home when you walk in...it has that classic Wisconsin bar comfort: neighbors having conversations at the bar, Packer memorabilia on the walls, sports games on TV. When you go to the right, you enter the restaurant area, which again has a nice second-home feeling. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a steak and mushroom sandwich that was the special of the day. OMG, both were amazing! Brian was bartending on my visit and it was all regulars but they didn't make me feel like an outsider. I ordered my Gin Rickey and no one in the bar had ever heard of it, no drink for Brian today but any bartender who can make one gets a drink on me. The place is your typical WI dive bar with a theme of bobble heads because the owner collects them. The staff was very friendly and the Gin Rickey was very refreshing. The place has a small bar with one giant flat screen and smaller flat screens around the room.“

“We had their Fish Fry on Friday...AH-MAZING! We've gone to a lot of fish frys in the area, and Belly Up's was probably one of the best we've EVER had! Fish was very tender and crispy, fries were great, and the coleslaw was a perfect combination! We ordered everything to go (it was still hot when we got home even) because we had a little one with us that was getting antsy, otherwise we would of most definitely stayed for the exceptional atmosphere! “On the first and third Sundays they serve brunch. I had the shrimp and grits (10shrimp& lots of favorable grits for $15) It was phenomenal. Had to wait 45 minutes to an hour though the pineapple mimosa was good. Robert the bartender was very cool, but the DJ Nic Stokes came in and the music was really loud.
