“Love these old places. Established in 1959. Stopped for a drink (Monday at 3pm) Bar was very busy with an older crowd. Everyone was super friendly, guests and the bartender. Fast service and super reasonable drink prices. $3 Tito's. Still has the old school cash register.Parking: Parking up front was almost full. Plenty of spots I'm back.“
“Looked for a spot nearby to play pool and as we walked in someone goes uhoh the cops are here. ? that set the mood for an awesome experience! Patrick was an absolute riot and ESPN Gary is a solid shot in pool! Everyone talks to everyone felt like a small town up north bar! And POPCORN literally on every table!!! Can't wait to go back!“
“Overall we had a good experience! The wings and ribs were juicy and tender, I would definitely come back just for the ribs. The prime rib was huge, very fatty, but good. They didn't give me any au jus, so I just had the drippings on my plate which was like gravy instead of au jus. The wedding soup was tasty. The Huckleberry Moscow Mule was the worst part of the night, it was terrible.“
“After multiple visits to Riley’s in the Third Ward, I can honestly say it’s now one of our favorite dinner spots, despite our 30 minute drive to get there. The food and service has been consistently high quality. The owners have been at the location every time we’ve visited which sends such a message about the care of their business. It’s so nice to have a dinner spot we can head to with our dog, especially after a work day or on a weekend when he doesn’t need any more time alone! We’re big fans of the Philly and CBR!“
“Pull tabs zero out of zero! Lol but other than that, great atmosphere and excellent service! The kitchen messed up a bit on the snacks (twice) but management was above par and made our experience more than enjoyable! We Will definitely be going there again next time we come to “
“We had an amazing time last night at McCoco’s! Miguel, the owner came and greeted us and checked on our table many times and is very friendly and kind. We will definitely be coming back in the future and will recommend friends and family to enjoy a meal or two there as well!“
“Dean and Sue, the owners, are terrific. The bar staff is still trying to keep up after 15 years of ownership. They are great as well, BTW. This place is the true Milwaukee corner bar. I am from the panhandle of Florida so I know about Fried Chicken. This place has an awesome fried CHICKEN PLATE. The difference is also how the atmosphere is. I can walk 1 block away and it is diff'rnt. GREAT PLACE WITH SMART PEOPLE. GREAT SERVICEWheelchair accessibility: Back door“
“We had potato leak soup- the best I have had. I had the half chicken special- super moist, covered in country gravy (choice of having it on the side) & mashed potatoes (needed salt) but real potatoes and good when salt added. Service was impeccable, we were there for lunch. Wheelchair/walker accessible back door. (would be a long walk). Outdoor space looks amazing- I plan to go back when the weather improves. Service was freaky fast. Bourbon choices galore & bourbon old fashioneds on tap. (I will be trying those next visit too!). Bonus -gambling machines too.“
“The drinks and atmosphere here are above and beyond.Matt is one of the most personable bartenders I've had the pleasure to be served by. He will keep multiple conversations going with patrons while getting handcrafted drinks out remarkably fast. I don't think I waited longer than a minute after ordering to get anything.“
“We came here for some pre-dinner drinks on a Wed night and it was so cozy and festive, and not too busy which was a plus! The bartender was so sweet and gave me lots of tasters before I decided on the Vienna Lager (so good!). The lounge area with chairs and a couch set a great mood to enjoy a couple beers after hitting the Christmas Market. They have the coolest mapping of beers on the wall, honestly so informative to understand what beers come from what family (with specific examples of each one) and what glasses to drink them in. Downtown Tosa was so cute and we look forward to going back!“
“Dj Conway is probably the best karaoke dj I've ever laid eyes on (I've seen too many). This man let me belt linkin park out of key, whilst assisting with backup vocals. Man? Myth? Legend? Other worldly being? I couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is he and the rest of this staff treat ya like family.“
“Very impressed with the level of service here! Lydia was a delight and was very welcoming to my little dog, who joined me for Happy Hour. I met a few locals and they made me feel welcome as well, never having been to this place before. I will definitely recommend and return!“
“Birch restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience with its amazing food and delicious drinks. The atmosphere exudes a captivating vibe that adds to the overall enjoyment. The bartenders are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, enhancing the dining experience. And let's not forget about the burger – it's simply yummy!“
“The smash burgers are amazing. The paninis are huge and delicious. The coffee is Milwaukee's own Pilcrow!!!!The bar is delicious. The lower level vault is a speak easy that is so fun. I enjoy karaoke Tuesdays but it seems like lots going on all the time.“
“It was our first meal after flying all day. We ordered the hot garlic wings (extra crispy), French fries and a side salad. As far as flavor, the wing sauce was unique and tasty. The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great. As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. The server was nice and friendly.“
“Archie's reaches the peak of the perfect classic burger joint, reminiscent of a classic smash burger. The amount of food you get for a low and reasonable price at an outstanding quality. Absolutely my favorite in town thus far. Put on your leather jacket, throw on a vinyl classic, and enjoy yourself!Vegetarian options: There is a veggie burger option on the menu, the shared space ice cream shop had vegan options as well.“
“A group of us went here on a winter Saturday night. They don't serve food, but allow carry-in food. So, we brought our own snacks and spent the evening playing cards. The service was great and there was a good selection of tap beer and mixed drink options.“
“We came here for the first time to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. I reached out to the owner, Caroline, to be assured of everything for the special occasion. She got back to me in a timely fashion & reassured me about my questions. When we got there (around 8:30) there was still room in their free parking lot. We were warmly greeted at the door & they were already expecting us. There is a cover charge, but again, free parking & music, so not unexpected. Caroline personally came up & greeted us. We were tended to the entire time by her great bar staff. Drinks were very good & reasonable. The Donna Woodall group was playing & they were some of the best jazz we’ve heard in a long time! A must see & hear! We are not anybody special but were treated that way. Caroline’s deserves more than 5 stars. We will be back!“
“First time here and had a pizza. I love pizza and this pizza is legit. Amazing sausage, decent pepperoni, and nice thin and crispy crust. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is connected to a bowling alley fool you. This pizza can stand on it's own. Great service too.“
“We had a great time hanging out having a beer and playing pinball. There are SO many good options here too. You could easily spend a few hours drinking playing games eating and hanging out.Parking: Parking garage was affordable and connects you right into the building“
“Cat lovers we have a new hangout! We had a great time at this place! I saw the name and knew I had to check it out. It's a nice corner bar in west Allis with lots kitschy cat decor and some that's honestly cute. The bartender was super friendly and told us about all the upcoming events and specials. It's whiteclaw Wednesday and they're $3 each! Will definitely be back!“
“Great food and good value. Portions were really large and flavors were amazing. Best sweet potato fries we've ever tried! The decor has a local vibe and the service was terrific. They were very busy but we were seated quickly and server was very attentive.“
“Mandi is an amazing server/bartender. Our drinks and food were served quickly and we didn't wait too long for any refills. She always has a smile on her face and communicates with every single customer. She is friendly and an asset to Liquid Johnny's. We will definitely be coming back!“
“Fun, but kinda relaxed too. I love that the crowd is a huge mix of ages and crowds. You don't have to be a regular to feel at home.Kid-friendliness: I stopped in with my 10 year old daughter to get my phone charger that I left there, and a biker (Harley, not peddle), played a game of giant Jenga with my daughter and served her a Kiddie cocktail. Now that they serve food, it's her favorite burger joint because bartender Leah chats her up like she's a sister to her. Kids don't belong in bars. But this one is an exception. Especially since the owner has 5 daughters and a few of them work there.“
“We had a blast .. found Holler House through Google search of oldest bars in Milwaukee. The owners Tom and Cathy are amazing and the locals made us feel at home! We have so many pictures and so much fun! Be sure to do a shotski! These Texans had a blast!“
“I love this place even though I am technically banned from there for making a joke on stage during my bands set about Dime Bag Darrel which the owner misheard as a dig about him maybe shooting a guy.. right after he had to shoot a guy that tried to rob and shoot him... sigh The joke goes: "hey what were Dime Bag Darrels last words?" "Can I get some shots up here?"“
“We came here late one Saturday evening because our group wasn't quite ready to call it a night and we ended up almost closing the bar down! It's your typical bar - a step above from a "dive" bar, in my opinion. The staff was nice and we got our drinks quickly. The gin and tonic was reasonably priced and tasted as expected. Overall a perfectly good late night drinks option with friends, but it was very very loud. The music was blaring and the people were trying to top it with their conversations. This is definitely not the place to go if you want to have a conversation with your group without yelling. They did have darts and some slot machines in the back.“
“Was in milwaukee visiting a friend this weekend, we went to McGillycuddy’s and had a great time, the staff and drinks were great and there’s an overall amazing atmosphere. We had the pleasure of being served by Amanda at the bar, she gave us amazing service, has a great vibe and really made our time there enjoyable. I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to the next time I go. If you’re in Milwaukee you definitely have to come by here!“
“Traveling from Cincy to Wisconsin & picked a highly rated family restaurant!!Busy lunch crowd for superb food?I chose a salmon sandwich w/lemon aoli & a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder, made from scratch!! Service is very attentive, lovely greeter & pleasant “
“We went for trivia. It was packed, yet the service was quick and kind. The beer selection is very good and well organized. There were a ton of TVs which made watching baseball easy to do. Our server was helpful and made the experience better. The menu looked nice, but we stuck to cheese curds and beer.“
“We were staying at the hotel down the street and easily walked to this great neighborhood bar. The bartender,Cindy, learned our names and drinks right away and we enjoyed talking to a couple of the local folks here. We had a bar pizza that was pretty good. It was a nice evening and would drop in again if we passed through again.“
“I have been coming to Nicky Migz for the better part of two years.I have to say, the staff has always been there for me and my family, I have two daughters that love the family friendly and inclusive atmosphere.Yes the GM has had some demons and over my interactions I am confident to say he and their family have shown me nothing but to be a honest and thoughtful family.althoughthere has been instances of delayed service and wait times it has always been made correct. I willContinue to support Nicky migz bar and grill as long long as they continue to accept and support every single person who enters their establishment.“
“Loved this place. We snuck in there late on a Sunday (didn’t know anyone) and by the time we left we felt like family. It was my wife’s birthday and they couldn’t have made her feel more special. Everyone in the bar sang to her. Don’t forget to say Hi to the owner. What a little gem.“
“Da Bar is a fun bar wth pleasant staff. The new bar up the street called Da Bar and Grill sells the food. Ive never tried the food there yet though. On sundays for football the owner has free buffets in back area from Rupena's which is a very nice gesture. Stage area in back for bands and party room to rent out if you want to host something there. Little dingy in back tbh could use a new floor as well but other than that its good. Owner is very kind and fun. Enjoy his gaming machines and looking forward to the shuttle bus starting this spring for Brewers baseball games.“
“The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and you have an awesome bar to socialize in right next to it. Jay has weekly rates as well as monthly. Awesome guy to talk to and has a great place to stay.Parking: The motel parking is a little tight, but plenty of room to park my dually.Across the street from the bar there is another parking lot that has lots of room as well.“
“My hubby did a pickup order and wow, we were impressed! Pickup fish fry isn’t usually something we do (thanks kidney stones for ruining our night) because it gets soggy but tonight we had to and it was really good. They packaged everything separately so the tartar and the slaw weren’t warm sitting in the container with the hot food, I had the combination platter and the package the baked cod in a separate soup container which was great. My husband had the blue gill and really enjoyed them as did our 5 year old. The food was all really delicious and I can’t wait to dine in next time. My husband said while he had a beer at the bar while he waited for our food all of the employees were friendly and pleasant.“
“Had breakfast at Cafe Benelux when staying close by the Third Ward. The Cafe is quite large with a big central bar and lots of seating inside and upstairs outside. The ambience is very nice as was my server, Kenna. I had the Short Rib Fajita Hash ($19), and it was a sizeable portion and kept me going all day!! The coffee was good too ($3). Well worth a visit.“
“I am a sucker for a great dive bar and with a name like Day Drink Inn how can you possibly go wrong? The owner Mario always keeps the place clean and hires very friendly bartenders. Once a month on a Saturday afternoon they have a drawing for $500. You have to enter a grab a spot with your $20 but it's can be worth $500 if you are there and $250 if you aren't so it's best to be there by 3pm sharp. After they have meat raffles and other raffles so it's definitely a fun time. There are always friendly people in the bar and it's a great place for a Day Drink! Definitely worth trying to find especially on a cold Saturday!“
“Taylor It's by far one of my favorite bars to hang out and relax with a lot of the locals. Great vibes, older crowd, no drama, just a good time!!!! Always on my to go list if I plan a night downtown. I love the outdoor seating underhang. Heating definitely keeps it comfortable.“
“Great food and atmosphere. We got BLTs, chive fries and cheese curds. All were delicious. As an added bonus Dan helped my mom locate her grandparents old property that had been lost to time. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for making mom's 70th birthday extra special!“
“Car night is great! Only runs certain months on Tuesdays during the summer but a lot of cars. Their wings are delicious and I get them the B-Lazy way (grilled then sauced). The hillbilly bingo caller is great and the bingo prizes with money is worth playing. Always nice pots too. 10 out of 10 recommended and not expensive!Parking: No trouble finding a spot for trucksKid-friendliness: Kid friendly too! They hold trunk or treat recently.“
“There is never a full evening at Just Art’s saloon. A night that will be highlighted by conversation, jokes, great drinks, and of course, bar dice. For the few hours eve opens each week, Art makes it worth it. The historic building and decor will take you right back to a simpler time. Great beer selection, merch, and prices you can’t beat anywhere else in the area.“
“This is a unique drinking establishment for Walker’s Point, or what some people call the Fifth Ward. The current trend calls for a craft brewery, an independent distillery, an ersatz gourmet restaurant, or a place left over from the clandestine 1980s or 1990s. Breaking that template, Wall Street is a black owned, sultry cocktail bar with the sounds of “sweet soul music” filling the handsome space. Milwaukee may be growing up, accepting its diversity and realizing it can be urbane without losing its roots. That beer and a shot town may be long gone.Looking like more like a model from Paris or New York City, the proprietor Sharisse, named the bar after her mother who taught her finance and how to use economic investment to further yourself in a competitive world. Sharisse’s presence adds class and panache to the Wall Street Stock Bar. Less of a South Side bar, and more NYC or Paris, the Wall Street offers an array of delicious mixed cocktails and tasty bites to eat. Helping to tend bar, Naomi greets you with her bubbly personality and a ready smile, making everyone feel welcomed. Prices are a little higher than the typical corner tavern, but Wall Street pays off with a sophistication lacking from most places in Milwaukee. It reminds me of when Elsa’s on the Park first opened, breaking the mold in the Cream City, bringing Karl Kopp’s vision of a cool and hip Milwaukee to fruition.Go to the Wall Street Stock Bar and support the “new Milwaukee.” It isn’t all bar dice and dem and dose anymore.“
“The bottle is a nice local bar with fun bartenders, totally affordable drinks, a solid beer selection (they have sours :)), and huge screens! During Packer games they offer half-time food and raffles! Popcorn is free and pizza is delicious!“
“After driving past this place for years I said to myself let's stop by and check it out because it was a cold damp/rainy afternoon and a perfect place to chill. The place has this medieval theme with a suit of metal and other pieces on the walls. The place has a small bar with a few tables, gaming machines etc. They have a unique shot game with numbered brown paper bags and a dice you throw which determines what you get, you have no idea of what you get and the bartender doesn't either. A 1 one a 6 on the dice gets you your choice of the brown bag and 2 through 5 you have to drink that bag. They also have a card game Tommy was playing with customers that I have never seen that people were excited to watch and in the end took $1 from the customer. Tommy was my bartender who knows how to pour a drink but didn't understand the gin Rickey and made it with a lemon after I told him twice how to make it, he promptly fixed that. The place is all regulars coming and going who don't live in the neighborhood because one guy lives in my neighborhood so people make the drive. Overall it's a unique dive bar with decent prices and friendly people.“
“The bar’s location is on my way to other places like Fluid and Walker’s pint. Back in 2021, I was being re-introduced to the Milwaukee LGBTQ+ community after living in Denver for the past 8 years. Before leaving, I volunteered at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, helped organize the gay softball World Series in 2009, and also volunteered at American Family Field for the LGBTQ+ softball league SSBL. I ran into this bar walking from Woodys to Walkers Pint. I walked in and was greeted by the bartender, Charlie. I recently parted ways with some of my gay “bar friends” and needed a change of scenery. Not knowing my story Charlie made conversation and made me feel welcome. In about 7-8 minutes meeting Charlie, he knew I happened to be gay. Since then I make it a point when friends visit for pride I take them to this place. All of the bartenders have always treated me with great respect and I enjoy the atmosphere. With me standing tall at 4’9” I’m happy to visit this inclusive place where I’ve happened to develop friendships with people who happen to be straight, oh and people who happen to be gay as well.“
“We had the Friday fish fry options. Lake perch was 2 generous pieces and the combination platter of cod, walleye, perch was also generous portions. All cooked perfect with a good batter (not thick). Seafood bisque was tasty. We would come back.“
“I love this place. The service is excellent, and the food is always amazing. I love the Salmon Encrutado, as well as the Carne Asada. You can also never go wrong with what I consider to be the best Tacos I've ever had. I always look forward to dining there.“
“We strolled into Camacho’s on a sleepy Sunday afternoon in August, wanting to discover a true neighborhood bar. So much has changed in Walker’s Point since my glory years. I lament the loss of La Fuente, Felipe’s Place, where we partied the night before my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah, and Babalu, where I danced the light fantastic to Elvis Crespo and Cubanismo.Jessie was behind the bar at Camacho and treated us like old friends. Everyone was friendly, the music was fantastic, the drinks strong and reasonable. Camacho is the true definition of a place keeping the ideal of neighborhood alive. Trendy is nice. Neighborhood is necessary.“
“Great environment, great drinks, great bartender and greatly remodeled! Even if you have been there in the past and not recently, you must go again. The remodel is phenomenal and truly has become such an inviting place. The new TVs, 360 around the bar allow you to watch all the sports and teams you want!“
