“Nice relaxed atmosphere, but the fact that it's CASH ONLY and there were no signs or warning until the tab was due is pretty annoying. The fact that it's a small bar is understandable, but they should at least warn customers when they order their first drink. Otherwise it's a cozy little neighborhood bar. Pool table is a nice addition.“
“My husband was craving a fish fry, I'd remembered my brother raving about their food and especially the fish fry.We were not disappointed. My steak sandwich was delicious and cooked to perfection. Husband really enjoyed the fish. We also had the appetizer sampler, which was also tasty.Looking forward to dining in on a Thursday and trying the chicken fried steak.“
“My friends and family brought me to this bar on a very quiet night. The folks working were absolutely wonderful and friendly. They took care of us quickly and even changed the televisions to a game that I was interested in, while others were probably not. There was plenty of seating available that night, but I'd assume that most will gladly stand when the bar is packed. I always enjoy these comfortable, no pressure type of locations, you will not get a dirty look walking in as an outsider, you would be welcomed in and I would assume after a couple hours you will leave having had great conversations and meeting some very friendly Milwaukee residents. I'm sure I'll be back and to find these locations literally tucked in between homes in a quiet neighborhood is what makes Milwaukee special.Parking: You are in a neighborhood, so parking is shared with the residents“
“As soon as I walked into Foggy Dew I felt comfortable. There was something different about this bar, although the clientele looked typically Milwaukee South Side. They were polite, kind and welcoming. The guy sitting next to me gave up his seat for my friend. I bought him a drink to thank him, but he didn’t acknowledge it, probably embarrassed. That’s typical of Foggy Dew. Nick was our bartender, and he was friendly and answered my barrage of questions. Foggy Dew will be a destination bar for me. The decor was unique, but the differences were subtle. I loved the fact the Dew was in a residential neighborhood. That added to its panache. It was a cool bar. I liked it. I think you will too.“
