“We parked at one end of Hudson and walked the main strip looking for a new place to eat. We stumbled on Black Rooster ?, and it called to us. There's a steep flight of stairs leading you into the cool cave like atmosphere of the place. We had wine ? and smoked old fashioneds (yum) to start. We had the pan-roasted chicken breast ? and seared sea scallops, which were both amazing. The menu rotates, so who knows what we'll get next time (and there will be a next time).Parking: There are pay parking lots all along the main strip (pay only during specific hours).”
“It's not a huge place but they have good choices. The pizza was almost fantastic - the edges were super burnt but I did love the Boston style thickness and that the sauce is "dollop" style (like sour cream on a taco) I'm not a huge sauce fan so being able to just scoop it off was great. Flavor was awesome. Drinks were ok. We'd go back.”
“I love this place. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable inside. In the summer, the patio bar is lots of casual fun. They have a good glutten free menu. The service is excellent.Dietary restrictions: Separate gluten-free menu. The deconstructed banana cream pie is especially fabulous.”
“Great Caribbean food with a comfortable atmosphere that makes me want a Margarita as I walk in, the Yucatán Stew is the best thing I have had in a long time, (it might be Spicy) to some but the heat and flavor balance nicely to me, with great service and the food like it is no wonder you might have to wait for a seat it's totally worth it!”
“Great food all around- cheese curds, burger, and soup. Curd sampler is a must if you love cheese. One of the flavors wasn’t melty inside like the others so I’m not sure if it was that particular cheese solidifies faster or they got dropped in the fryer at different times? Dipping sauces were great too. Otherwise everything was great.”
“Food, service, and atmosphere were all great! There were 9 of us, and everyone had something different... everyone loved the food! The service was great and the atmosphere was great too!”
“My wife and I have a profound appreciation for sushi, and our standards are admittedly high. Nevertheless, this establishment has consistently surpassed our expectations. The quality and creativity evident in their specialty rolls, in particular, are unparalleled, marking some of the finest we have ever enjoyed. Their ability to consistently deliver exceptional culinary experiences speaks volumes of their dedication to excellence in sushi craftsmanship.”
“I wanted to get ham and potatoes and gravy to go today for Easter. I called ahead and the chef said he would have it all ready. I was on my way to the airport to pick someone up and stopped into Post to pick up. Not only did someone go around the buffet and fill a to go container for me but while they were waiting for their computer to restart, the chef came out and said there was no charge!!! I’ve always loved this place and their wonderful food and service but this was just amazingly sweet and so appreciated!! Thank you and Happy Easter! It was delicious. Terri O”
“I went here with Debra R, Jose R and a couple of people a few days ago. I had the breakfast ale. Debra R had a stout beer. The other people had a stout and a light color beer. I also got a cute hat. The beer was good and the service was good too. The place has some cool pinball machines and an industrial ambiance that I enjoyed.”
“I have been critical in the past, of certain things. But only to make it better. This is getting to be our favorite dining place. The Woman that runs the place, goes up and beyond. If you can find better French Onion Soup, or Walleye, OR service then Stefanie, let me know!”
“SERVED BUCKET OF RIBS, NO FRIGGIN "PLATES"! Had to put bones on napkins. Waited 20 plus minutes between drinks and ordering food. I have never HAD THIS BAD OF SERVICE THERE! Our waitress was more interested in theHARLEY BIKERS! I WAS PO'D because this was my sisters first time and I bragged it up. Sorry I did so! R. Ernat”
“The only Popeyes in Minnesota/Wisconsin that actually tastes like the southern food chain. The past 3 years I have been saving my Popeyes days for when I hit Georgia, Alabama or Louisiana due to the lack of seasonings. I was pleasantly surprised where I am continuously disappointed.Even in the cities the chicken can not compare ???”
“High-end Italian, rare for a small town in the Upper Midwest. New York tight seating, room quite loud. Mean age of patrons: mid 30s. Wait staff is young, attentive, well-trained and well-groomed. Tables are hard to get, extremely popular. Try to go with three or more unless you enjoy being a part of your neighbors' conversations at the tables for two. The only bad thing I had was burned sourdough bread, which should never have been served. Perhaps a minor problem with quality control, everything else was fabulous.”
