First getting to know Scott and talking food with him sometimes over a drink at the bar, and then seeing his daughter Cory take over the reins... great people and glad to see the next generation doing the same great stuff. “Had the meatloaf dinner. The menu online advertised it as being made with bacon and cheese curds. While it didn't have either, it was still good - just not expected. I'm not sure if the menu I saw online was old, or what. Was served with mashed potatoes and maple glazed carrots. Overall, very good. Bar atmosphere was nice with an old-time bar aesthetic. I'll definitely try the food again.“
“I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bar!!!! Duke's was the highlight of our trip to Kenosha from Florida. They have great liquor and beer selections, games, plenty of tv's AND attentive, knowledgeable bartenders! The best part....the special's shelf. I'm not sure if it's an all the time thing or just when we were there but we tried amazing bottles of close out shots at a deeply discounted rate. I hardly remember that it was -6 degrees while we were there.“
“My husband and I went to Vero last night to celebrate our anniversary, and it's the first time we've gone back since they reopened. I love the changes they've made with a focus on small, shareable plates which is one of my favorite ways to dine. The food was outstanding, and the staff were all pleasant and efficient. “Yes... it's a pub but just not a pub. It supports bands that pass thru, but they now have added a kitchen that serves a bit of variety of dishes plus rib tips and brisket, which was very good but slightly tough for my liking.The other thing I like was no tiny containers for taking your spork for the one spoonful. I'm so glad this one is very close to the compound, too.“
“We found this place yesterday on our way to The Goodwill Outlet. What an awesome place! Everyone was so welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. We all ordered the fish fry ( cod) and it was perfectly cooked. It had that good crunch when you bite into it. Also, for your side get the cheesy tater tots. The prices were great too. “Definitely a very diverse crowd, but a very good diverse crowd. Bartenders are very much what every bar in town needs. Jukebox is completely unlocked so you will not be stuck not being able to find your artist or song. This pub is my personal top 3 picks in town.“

“This is a good old fashioned country bar. Bartenders and patrons are very friendly and everyone makes you feel welcome! The drinks are low to medium in price - great bloody mary's. It has a back room for for large parties and the owner says it is free to low $$ to use for a party! I will make this a regular place to stop and shoot the breeze!“
“We have been going to Mario’s for years. The food is kind of hit or miss, you have to know what to order. The Pizza Bomber is a great sandwich and I have never been disappointed with that, their Saturday night rib special used to be my favorite, I’m sad they got rid of that. Their Italian food is good too. Their prices are fair I will say that, this is mainly the reason we keep coming back. The waitress is kind of abrasive (if you know what I mean) she comes off rude but she can be friendly if you get to know her. If you have a party larger than 4 don’t expect them to move the tables for you. You will be doing the moving. The main reason for my low service rating is because the food took forever. We were there on a Sunday night (after 7pm) there was hardly anyone eating there. Of course the bar was full (hence great atmosphere) but I believe we were one of a few tables occupied. We waited over an hour for 2 burgers, a salad, and an order of stuffed shells. I think these are relatively easy dishes to make and there’s no reason it should have taken that long. There was also a group that came in and got served much quicker than we did, almost like there was some preference there. Put it this way, it will be a while before we come back.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly unless you go when the bar is not busy. The bar tends to get rowdy.“
“What a cool hidden place in Kenosha. I was recommended here for their fish fry and it did not disappoint. The back patio was open and it cause a bit of a rush. Although the bartenders and servers were busy, they kept a smile on their face and were extremely nice, personable, and funny! We will definitely be coming back.“
