“Happened to be staying at the Marriott Marquis and decided to eat here since it was adjacent to the hotel. It was a great decision. It is always a plus when patio seating is available. The drinks were amazing and the food was on point. Xochi is an authentic Mexican gem! The vibe, food, and drinks are amazing. The ambiance is vibrant, the dishes are bursting with flavor, and the handcrafted cocktails are a must-try. I highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Houston and, of course, even for locals, for an unforgettable Mexican dining.“

My husband and I always go here for date night it is an outdoor place so theres alot of car noise since its next to the freeway, service is not the fastest but its worth the wait! “Upscale Mexican restaurant with fantastic menu featuring various seafood, vegetables and innovative offerings of familiar favorites. We decided to share small-ish plates (they weren't that small). We had corn & shrimp empanadas, a roasted eggplant and squash dish, smoked octopus dish, a mushroom tamal wrapped in a banana leaf with mole and a blueberry mousse cake with passionfruit sorbet. Everything was unique, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Food was served quickly by attentive staff. We loved it.“

“This is my favorite place to get tacos by far! There isn't a lot of room inside the restaurant for you to sit and eat but you can eat in the car LOL. Expect long lines when you go to eat at brother's tacos. But it's only because their food is delicious!Parking: Parking is very limited and most people end up parking on the side of the street. However, the last time I was there was about a week ago. Ok my last visit I did notice a city worker putting fines on windshields of cars that were parked on the side of the curb in the street. Previously I had never seen this.“

You can’t go wrong for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner at Ojo de Agua - we will certainly be visiting again soon!Vegetarian options: There are tons of options for vegan, or vegetarians. There is even fresh squeezed juices that are delicious along with dishes that exclude meat or cheese. I had the tacos with corn tortillas which were completely gluten free. “This place has great food! Good seasonings. The food here is very delicious. I grabbed the green sauce. It's not spicy to the point. The red one doesn't know how it is. I grabbed a cake and two fajita tacos. The meat is well seasoned. They don't add too much mayonnaise which is good because then the bread (wakala) is not so wet.“

Will do a review for seven of their tacos and my recommendations. But first, we start with the atmosphere and service: Very aesthetically pleasing exterior and shows the establishment well. Big logo for everyone to see across the street. They have tables outside to eat if customers decide to enjoy their meals on a nice day. Enough parking during Saturday afternoon, so that's a big plus. Entering the place, very spacious and can fit about 30ish people. The kitchen is open in the back so you can see your food being cooked. They also have a Trompo (vertical rotisserie) that's in view. The menu is above the register and the restroom is on the right side. They have complimentary water on the side inside a metal jar that is somewhat hard to miss because I had to ask multiple times where the jar was (it was in front of me). Overall, the interior is clean and organized! “I come here regularly. I've had the zanahoria taco, puerco en salsa verde taco, chicharron taco, tepache chicken rice bowl, and the Papalo salad. All are delicious.My go to's are the tacos, with my favorites being the zanahoria, and both pork tacos. The zanahoria taco consists of roasted carrots topped with dressed greens, queso fresco, and toasted pumpkin seeds. Their chicharron is made from roasted pork belly. It has crispy skin and plenty of meat. Something that sets them apart from other places that serve tacos is that they nixtamalize the corn for their tortillas. They're legit.“

“I came to echoes finally after wanting to check it out for a while. I had two of the best cocktails I have tasted called lavender country. These are cocktails that dance so beautifully with the senses that they take you away to another space in time. I also tasted the echoes potatoes which were so divine with their Mediterranean flavor. I also got the chance to enjoy the band Aurum Son who played such inspirational music and had to keep listening. Echoes is upstairs inside a gorgeous white building with a huge patio to dine at and listen to music. “This place is a total vibe. Such a cute place for date night, hanging with the girls or family. We dined in the Monkey Bar which is secluded in the back for a different ambiance. The Monkey Bar does have a different drink menu than the other part of the restaurant. Our bartender Bam was beyond exceptional. (we were a party of 2 and there was a party of 4 ladies right in front of us that got their table right after we set down) so they move people quickly. I was impressed by the service the restaurant manager Alberto provided from my initial contact through the end of the event and found him to be professional, trustworthy, and with an outstanding attitude towards his customers.
