“i’ve been going to jinya for a while now, but my best experience there was tonight! on top of the food being amazing as always, our server david was absolutely the best!! he was super attentive & so helpful with handling all of our requests :) this man deserves the world!! thanks david for making me and my sister’s dinner fantastic!!“
“My husband, kids and I met my parents there this afternoon as a joint birthday dinner for my mom and daughter. The food was great and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. The wait time for food was very reasonable. We only really interacted with one employee but he was super friendly, very attentive and went the extra mile by keeping the small birthday cake we brought in cold for us while we ate. It’s a bit far from where we live to be somewhere that we go often, but if we are in that area, I’d love to go again.“
“Solid restaurant. I tried the Hawaiian BBQ combo and really enjoyed the beef, chicken, and rice. The short rib had a strange gamey flavor that was not for me. I also did not like the macaroni salad, but that is just my pallette. It was fresh and seemed to be prepared well, but it didn't fit with the meal, in my opinion. The service was really great, and I love the aluminum cups. Great little spot.“
“Got one of each of the two chef specials at their kiosks. I wish there were more details descriptions of what all went into each of the dishes. Feels like an odd UX choice to not have them. Service in general is a little apersonal but that's not necessarily a bad thing if they're going for an Izakaya-like model. Atmosphere was pretty good, though. I enjoyed the mural and decor. I preferred the original ramen bowl to the angry chicken, which was both a little sour and a little spicy for me right then.“
“Had a late lunch with visiting family from out of town. My son-in-law is an executive chef of 18 years of experience. While he is not schooled in Japanese cuisine, he knows his way around food preparation. I actually impressed him with Nagasaki Grill as our lunch choice. As to myself, my level of cooking mastery extend to getting the right amount of hot water in my instant oatmeal. Bout I do know what eats well. After five years in Japan, I’m telling you—. This is the real deal!“
“Parking was a little hard to find, but it was well worth the ramen, it was ...like REALLY good. Will totally be coming back again to try some other stuff. I got there signature bowl, not spicy, cause I'm a wuss. My girlfriend got the Tokyo bowl.We both walked away saying "we are 100% coming back!"“
“The service was very good and food came out quick! The happy hour is a good deal. We also tried the Azusa black and their Curry signature ramens. The "Spicy" level for the Curry Ramen could have been spicier, maybe there was a super spicy version we didn't know about?? Either way everything else was up to par!“
“First time trying this place and I have to say it was delicious! Good prices and you get a big bowl of ramen. We loved the edamame and the chicken dumplings. My family and I really enjoyed it and the service was 10/10! I got the spicy miso with pork. Wasn’t spicy at all just had great flavor and pork was very tasty ☺️Thank you so much, definitely returning!“
“Such an amazing place for friends and family. I took my best friend of 10 years and we absolutely just fell in love with this restaurant. Such amazing service and delicious food. If I can provide more stars I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The music I felt like I was playing my Playlist! ?BTS ARMY ?Definitely recommend coming here! ☺️? ? ?“
“I get the curry katsu a lot. I also order to go. I would suggest 2 aspects: 1) ask for more curry 2) ask to not have the paper decor they put at the bottom of the to-go box. That paper disintegrates when exposed to moisture. And the time you forget and pour the curry over the katsu... that paper is just mixed with the curry.I get it to go because it's always busy when I want curry katsu - weekends and/or evenings. So, the atmosphere is always loud that I need headphones/earbuds to be in that food court.“
“Great service excellent food! I just moved here from San Diego and was nervous about getting Sushi in a land locked state. I was so relieved when I found Dozo, not only was it fresh and yummy but the rice and saki were next level. I will be coming back soon to try more menu items! The staff were also super great and it felt very comfortable being there.“
“Get outta here. This place is ?.Wife had the XO Noodles. A little spicy, but very good. I had the fried rice with braised chicken. The flavors were amazing, but the texture of the chicken is far too soft. I excuse it because of the flavors... fried rice was a little oily, but only slightly so. Friend had the Shaking Beef. Goodness it looked good. Can't wait to try it next time I'm in Arizona. Another friend had ramen with shrimp. The noodles looked excellent, but I didn't get a chance to try it. Another friend had the chow me in. He said it was good and that I should try it next time. Soft shell crab sticky buns appetizer was outstanding, just know that it comes with an aioli. Similarly, the calamari fries and comes drizzled with a semi-spicy aioli. They were very small, but very tasty. Finally, another friend had the pork belly sticky buns appetizer. I didn't try it because pork belly is too fatty for me, but he said it was good.“
“Kazu Ramen in Gilbert, AZ was absolutely phenomenal. Vina was our waitress, and she was so pleasant and helpful with the menu. We had the opportunity to meet with the owner, Hendra, and he’s got something special going with this restaurant. Stop by, say hi, and eat away! I ate the kazu ramen, and Janelle ate the katsu-men. Delicious stuff! We’ll be back.“
“Absolutely loved the food here! Just got it to-go. I appreciate that they separated the noodles and toppings from the broth so nothing was soggy when we got home. Would also recommend the tasty karaage! The photos of the don/rice bowls and hand rolls on their website make the items look smaller than they actually are (yay more food)!“
“Not only is this place the absolute best - the food is amazing (get their bento box!), the people are SO friendly, they've literally never messed up a single order (and I go here a TON) AND they sell asian snacks at the front desk which is SUPER cute. Try the strawberry crunch pocky! I love this place. They literally bend over backwards for their customers, and whoever the amazingly sweet front desk girl is - thank you for being so kind and making my doordash/uber orders so special with nice notes. I had the worst day today - and yall really made my day with your kindness and amazing food. LOVE this place. 10/10“
“It's a strip-mall Ramen joint filled with One Piece posters, so make sure your expectations are clear there. That being said: the broth was both rich and balanced. We had both the Tonkatsu and Miso bowls. The seasoned eggs were the best we'd ever had in a Ramen spot. The service was friendly and easygoing. We went a little late on a Tuesday so it wasn't very busy but everyone who worked there still remained attentive and helpful despite the slow business at the time.Great experience and one of our preferred spots for Ramen in the East Valley!“
“Japanese Ramen is food for the soul which makes Tampopo feel like it’s straight from heaven. The Ultra Spicy Ramen Bowl with homemade noodles and a broth as rich as Jeff Bezso had me in complete bliss. The Gyoza was pan fried to the perfect level of crispy and was ohhh so good! I adore this tiny restaurant located in Tempe Arizona. Its kitchen counter dining, friendly staff and authentic menu has had me coming back here for years.“
“I've come to this place a couple of times now and they always have great food. The owner is super nice and likeable and his staff are really great as well. Highly recommend this place for some great Chinese noodles. No other place in Arizona compares.“
“Awesome place! Spoke with the owner who took our order and she told us all about the authenticity and care that goes into the food. She told us that most of the ingredients for the ramen is sourced from Japan. Sushi rolls have a very generous amount of meat in them and are priced fair. Will come again! Always happy to support a local business.“
“When you walk in it feels like a hole in the wall that may be a cool place to grab a drink, but don't stop there. Look at the menu. Lots of options, but it is the ramen that is the star of this show. It is CRAZY. Big bowl filled with lots of noodles and whatever extras you want. I had the "miso hungry." My soft egg was perfect and of course I ordered fried chicken on the side (for only $4.50 that is almost a meal in itself). As others have said the broth is a little salty, but it was delicious and worth it. Service was friendly and on point. They bill at the table without actually giving you a bill- our server just showed me the total on the hand held device. I don't love this but I'm sure it saves them time. Worth it for the food!“
“From out of town but this is my second time here. I struggle to understand why the ratings are low for this place. Maybe it's the quality of the ramen, but I've never had the ramen here since I like different broth bases than offered here. The Katsu Curry is great, large portions with a little kick. My partner has a Gyudon Rice Bowl and soup, and we shared the crispy potstickers which are aptly named. The place has a great atmosphere and when we visited it was quite busy. Some people might dislike the order from QR and it gets dropped off, but it helps me feel less anxious about ordering and the staff can focus on the food.“
“Daughter and i had our lunch here for her Birthday...all we ordered were awesome and delicious. Daughter said every single roll has it's own distinct flavor, no 2 alike...that's good. Now for me..next time will be the Ramen you guys offer.“
