“This has become our go to place for lunch for me and my work besties! The tacos are so flavorful and they use homemade tortillas. You can see them making the tortillas in the window when you are ordering. Try the Flamingo! It's my favorite but the fish tacos are out of this world too. They have frijoles a la charra (whole beans) and salads too. Be sure to try their agua Frescas Every one of them are refreshing. They do have a happy hour 3-6 daily and ALL DAY on Tuesdays!“

“These are the absolute best shrimp tacos on the planet. You read that right. It’s not hype or fanfare. I am a career foodie and cook. Food trucks are sorely overlooked. Shrimp are fried to utter perfection. Crispy, golden battered heaven on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside with tangy slaw, crispy cabbage and not one but two choices of chipotle sauce.(mild and spicy) Take it from me and get them with mozzarella cheese. They toast the cheese on the tortilla so that there is a crispy brown coating on top and melted, cheesy nirvana underneath. And for only $4 a taco, the portion are quite ample. Tacos are HUGE and they do not skimp on the shrimp! The owner and his family were sitting near my table and they saw my face when I took the first bite. He told his family, “Now that’s the face you wanna see!”. Places like these remind why I love food so much.“

“Holy smokes this place is great. I arrived here just before close and an elderly couple (guessing the owners) treated me like familia. I got the ahogada which is a pork torta smothered in salsa. I asked the owners what type of chilis they use and they told me chilis de arbol. Being from the northeast, I had never had a culinary experience quite like this. So spicy but so delicious. This place is a MUST try.“

“We have had so many positive experiences here. Moved to Phoenix about a year ago and this has been somewhere we keep coming back to. We love the chips and array of salsas. The chips are warm, perfectly crispy and salty. Cocktails are all wonderful and we are still working our way through the menu. Food is on more expensive side but for us it's worth it. The staff is super friendly and helpful when ordering, figuring out to go situation, or doing margarita math with us to see how many drinks each margarita to go order contains. Last but not least the space is very cool. The stained glass and pieces from the buildings previous life add a memorable touch. We came late at night and it's that area in Phoenix the so there were some homeless, they didn't bother anyone but I don't recommend bringing children after dark. Delicious, they have a shrimp wrapped bacon made Sonoran hot dog style, hot dogs Wednesday-Sunday and tacos Monday and Tuesday, staff is friendly and the coolers keep it cool even in the heat. When you order tacos, they lso give you a plate on the side with the toppings. Thse guys totally know what they do! The menu is authentic and the price is really great. We unfortunately didn't get seated in the main room but in a side room with only one other small group. Our server was very helpful with recommendations and I went with her suggestions across the board. Very good tacos. Chips were bland but the salsa bar had a lot of options and we arrived at a favorite which started with an "a" and was yellowish green but really flavorful with a kick.
