As entrees we had the short ribs, crispy pork belly with broccoli and a chicken and noodle dish and it all was super tasty. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and be sure to make reservations.”

My girlfriend also wanted an espresso martini, but they were 'sold out.' But it was only 5pm on a Monday, I wasn't sure how that was possible.
We were also at a relatively small dining table and there was no where to put our purses down, I really wish small hooks under tables were more standard!
I'd definitely be back for their Monday burger special.”

“I’ve been here before when they were at the downtown location and already loved it—especially the cacio e pepe (my favorite!) and the service. Somehow, coming back after the move was even better.
Melissa was an absolute gem—knowledgeable, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The chicken was hands down the most flavorful, perfectly seasoned, least-dry chicken I’ve had at a restaurant. And the tartine for dessert? amazing. The whole menu feels really uniquely crafted and grounded in local foods.
The open kitchen is such a quaint, intentional detail that pairs beautifully with the interior design of the space. Wish I’d taken more photos.

It features 10 barstools inside with two separate outside areas one smoking 🚬 the other non smoking 🚭 and you can bring your well behaved pets 🐕 as well. Specialty drinks and cheap beer 🍻 with a $3 Budweiser no Bud Lite. The grill serves great bar fare like burgers and appetizers for those who are not concerned about calories. I've been there twice and the crowd and staff are very friendly.”

Corey our waiter was very attentive. We first ordered something to drink. He gave us a while to enjoy them and talk. We then ordered our dinners. I had the Prime Rib and my husband ordered Filet Mignon. They both were made with perfection. Various staff members kept filling our water glasses. After dinner Corey came with an incredible Strawberry Shortcake. That was a gift for our first time there. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Phoenix.”

A close friend made the recommendation so when we scheduled our trip to PHX we jumped on the chance to try it out. The Staff was very experienced and willingly shared their food knowledge. Walking in, you feel transported to an Art Deco showpiece. It starts your whole experience off with a feeling that not many other places have in Phoenix. I've been 3 times now and all three servers have been fantastic. They're attentive, but not overbearing. Nothing is rushed and you're allowed to go at your own pace. The first time, I think the server took that too literally, because it ended up being a 3-hr dinner. But we were in no hurry anyway. And the food is fantastic. I can agree that it may be a touch heavy on the salt, but everything was flavorful and prepared as requested. I would highly recommend it. My only criticism is that at these prices, there should be free valet, or parking validation for the garage. We end up paying $30 for parking whether using the valet or the garage.”

“One of the best dinners we’ve ever had, we were celebrating a special occasion and the hostess at the front immediately wished us a happy anniversary as soon as we announced our reservation. Every person from the bartender, to the chefs in the back were absolutely amazing and everyone who works there seems so ecstatic to be there. I feel bad for not remembering out waiters name but he was incredibly personable and happy to spend the time talking to us about the food and joking around. He even took us on a private tour of the kitchen where upon entry the entire team greeted us. The head chef/owner is there every night cooking. The food was insanely unique and delicious and beautifully prepared but we would go back for the service and experience alone. This is not dinner, this is a one of a kind Michelin quality dining experience. Thank you!”

“This was my first experience eating Ethiopian food, and it was fantastic! The menu offers extensive options for vegans and those who prefer healthy foods. My date ordered the vegan combo, and I particularly enjoyed the carrots in the atikilt wot—they were sweet in the best possible way. I ordered the Doro Wat, which was savory and spicy. The injera, a bread that is like a cross between a tortilla and a pancake, was unique and delicious. They serve a variety of drinks, including Mexican Fanta, Sprite, Diet Coke, Coke, and Pepsi. Their traditional tea with honey and ginger was also soothing and a perfect complement to the meal. There's a full-service bar as well. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with entire tables of families chatting amongst each other. Every month, usually around an Ethiopian Holy Day, there is a buffet. If you're unsure of what Ethiopian food to try, I recommend starting with the buffet. I will definitely dine here again, especially for breakfast, which I just missed this time! Next time, I'll be ordering the kwanta firfir and scrambled eggs for breakfast—it has my name on it!”

“I took my Mom here last night. It was our first time. Everything was phenomenal from the food , to the service to the atmosphere! There was a gentleman playing the guitar and singing. It was lovely. The owners were checking on customers, serving food, and taking cleated plates. Super involved and super nice!!! Loved that. They take pride in their restaurant and it definitely shows. All staff were fantastic.

It was delicious,strong (how I like it) and refreshing. Mom had a tasty glass of Cab.
We started off with the Bruschetta. Full of flavor. So good. My Mom had Linguine and clams and I had Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp 🤌🏽 They make their blue cheese dressing in house and it is the bomb! Both dishes were absolutely fabulous. The Alfredo sauce was one of the best I’ve ever had.
We closed out our dinner with a glass each of homemade Limoncello over ice, tiramisu, limoncello cake.
We finished our drinks over at the bar to watch the live music. Heather and the other bartender were awesome. Made us feel right at home. They even let me sample the homemade orangecello. Yum!! We met a sweet local man who’s been coming to the place for over 20 years. He called it his “Cheers”.

As for my own choice, the spicy meatball parmesan was simply off the charts. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was executed flawlessly. Moving on to dessert, we indulged in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheesecake and the Twin Peaks Sunday, specifically the first bite of the cheesecake reminded me of the delightful taste of fried ice cream. “Third time in and I can assure you they do not put as much care into the look of the food as what the videos and pictures show. The last time in was last week. The service was incredibly slow. the food was slop on foam plates. I just don't know what is happening to this place. I have had better food at chain restaurants. If you want good Mexican food, this isn't the place to go. It is very unfortunate.”

“Went to Chico Malo to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and everything was outstanding! I noted in our reservation the special occasion and everyone at the restaurant made sure to give my husband birthday wishes - so special. Our waitress Brittney was next level and gave us excellent recommendations. The food was nothing I can even describe it was so unbelievable and I am dreaming of when we can go back. Then to top it all off Brittney brought out sparklers and the most delicious bowl of ice cream for desert to celebrate my husbands big day. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!! Five stars is not enough.”

“I came in today because I had never been before. I ordered a specialty slice (pepperoni, bacon and black olives, 1st topping is free and extras are $0.50), fried pickles, a plain quesabirria taco and a vanilla banana cream cake. The food was amazing. the pizza was perfectly cooked with a twisted, garlic and herb brushed crust, it was thin with a well cooked bottom and so big they give you a pizza cutter with your slice. The pickles were perfectly fries pickle chips, light, and crunchy with a good batter. The quesabirria taco looked messy- but dont judge it by its looks. it was perfectly cooked, no part of it was dry, the meat was super juicy and flavorful- but not super spicy so it was easy on my sensitive stomach. I'll be coming back as much as I can.”
