The Caroun Mix was a delightful assortment of flavors, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The hot chai tea was aromatic, making it the perfect companion to my meal. The baklava was the perfect finish, to my meal. The ambiance of Caroun Restaurant is modern and catchy, offering a unique dual environment. One-half of the restaurant is designed for relaxation, featuring comfortable couches that invite you to sit back and enjoy your time. The main dining area, on the other hand, is inspired by the streets of Iraq, with walls that transport you to a different place entirely. This blend of modern and traditional elements creates a welcoming and intriguing atmosphere. Additionally, my waiter (Sajid) was warm, friendly, and very attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Everything was great as usual, but I have to say the loud music turn me off so badly. Wasn’t that way before. I don’t know if I can come back and eat in. But this is what this seems to be now let’s turn the music up so loud people can’t think much less have a conversation if their withsomeone or hear what someone says to them on their cell phone. EXCELLENT, like walking into my mom's kitchen because you could tell the recipes had been lovingly perfected. So tender. So flavorful. A pure delight that that I can't wait to experience again. We also had 2 desserts that were wonderful. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they were called. One was like a napoleon, the other a nut-filled crescent. “This was my first experience eating Ethiopian food, and it was fantastic! The menu offers extensive options for vegans and those who prefer healthy foods. My date ordered the vegan combo, and I particularly enjoyed the carrots in the atikilt wot—they were sweet in the best possible way. I ordered the Doro Wat, which was savory and spicy. The injera, a bread that is like a cross between a tortilla and a pancake, was unique and delicious. They serve a variety of drinks, including Mexican Fanta, Sprite, Diet Coke, Coke, and Pepsi. Their traditional tea with honey and ginger was also soothing and a perfect complement to the meal. There's a full-service bar as well. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with entire tables of families chatting amongst each other. Every month, usually around an Ethiopian Holy Day, there is a buffet. If you're unsure of what Ethiopian food to try, I recommend starting with the buffet. I will definitely dine here again, especially for breakfast, which I just missed this time! Next time, I'll be ordering the kwanta firfir and scrambled eggs for breakfast—it has my name on it!”

I had the Prime Rib and my husband ordered Filet Mignon. They both were made with perfection. Various staff members kept filling our water glasses. Dairy, dips, and cheeses don’t play much of a role in traditional East, West or South African cuisine and I was hoping for more regional African influence when I took my work team there on a recent visit to Phoenix. “I have been here a few times. The food is for and eating outside in the fall is great. There's been one visit where they were out of fuel in the patio heater but they moved another one with fuel closer.
Doing the bill is quick since they have hand held machines. I prefer that because I don't like waiting for the bill process you normally have to do at a restaurant.
My favs are the tacos, chicken dumplings, and both shrimp dishes. It's tapas and my wife and I share what we order. We always leave full. Their mojito is strong which depends on your preference if you like that.”

Moving on to dessert, we indulged in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheesecake and the Twin Peaks Sunday, specifically the first bite of the cheesecake reminded me of the delightful taste of fried ice cream. “Yum yum yum. I wanted a Pizza. Did I ever get it. I am a west coast girl immigrated from Europe long time ago. I have no clue what a NY pizza is or should be. But fresh ingredients I know (and often do not get in USA! I read reviews in the neighborhood and decided I would give OG a try. I. Has no menu, just called and decided I wanted a pizza with multiple stuff on it. The gentleman said that would be the NY pizza. I said great! 30 minutes later (or less) I almost couldn’t make it the couple of miles home. I could tell by the aroma in my car it was a good pizza. I let my dad be the judge. He gave it a smile and a thumbs up. I now have their little to go menu so next time I can be more specific. Actually I think I found the one I like! If you don’t care for garlic, ask for light because it is fresh and oh so good! The gentlemen only take cash and don’t have a tip jar. That doesn’t mean they will refuse a tip. Eat the pizza hot! Support real pizza makers! This pizza was so superior to others I have had before! How did I not know they were right there? Geez I will certainly go back! I love real and fresh made food! WOW”

“It's rare that I give a place 5 starts across the board but this was some of the best pizza I've had. I showed up at the right time and was able to get a table inside almost right away...20 minutes later the was a wait. Ordered a few beers and pizza and it was fantastic. I 100% recommend this place if you're in the area and have a craving for pizza.
Parking: Don't park at the giant convention center across the street...parking is just too expensive. There's another parking garage around the corner that much more reasonable.”

“The wood fire pizza was “fire”! The Peroni on draft was super cold. The Calabrese salad was exceptional….in fact I recommend it with your pizza so you can soak up the salad oils and balsamic with your perfect pizza crust. Awesome combo there! Service and ambiance was great! Seeing an adorable puppy from the rescue every so often was a plus. Al in all great visit.”
