“It was between macayos and somburros, tastewise they outpriced themselves for a repeat visit. You order at the counter, you get your own drinks, and only really talk to you when you order. They were friendly but should not be 20 plus per person“

“Wow—amazing food and such kind, welcoming staff! I ordered the enchiladas with rice, and they reminded me of my abuelita’s cooking. ❤ It felt like a comforting, home-cooked meal. The agua de Jamaica was delicious along with the cafe de olla.

I’ll definitely be returning! Such a wonderful experience and a great family-owned business to support. Mari and Ryan were incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough!

“We came to Tempe for a visit from Tucson and stopped here at the Taco Spot off Elliot Rd. This place is very clean, great service and and most importantly great food!!! Marin was awesome and very nice. We ordered the birria ball and a platter of birria tacos with ramen. To end it off we got Churros for the kids. Definitely recommend this place and when we come to Tempe we’ll be stopping in every time!“

“Good food, good portions, great prices! Definitely one of the better Mexican food spots I've found in the area.

I grew up on the west side where we had some bomb 🔥Filiberto's, Federico's, Humberto's, and I feel like it's harder to find GOOD ones in tempe. This place is a good one though, especially for the price.

I always order my carne asada fries with pico, beans, and rice added. Most other places charge me like $10 extra for all the add-ons, but this one only charged like $2. Their fries are good too!

My biggest complaint is that there's no drive-thru, so you actually have to get out of the car 😅 Other than that, solid spot.“

“Great little spot for real Mexican food! I'm here for the week and wanted some good authentic Mexican food. The reviews did not lie! This spot has a nice vibe, super friendly staff and the food was incredibly good. I had the three meat combo plate. The Pastor, ooh la la so good. “I recently took my family for a quick afternoon at Sumburro on baseline. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant to eat our lunch in. The food was delicious. I recommend the tacos considering how expensive everything is these days. The prices were very reasonable. Our server/cashier l Alyssa greeted us with a smile was knowledgeable and very attentive. I will definitely be back.“

“We’ve been coming here a couple times a month for several years now. Would do takeout during the pandemic and are now enjoying their indoor dining experience. Tables are well spaced and it’s always very clean inside. Servers are very nice (Jessie!) and food is delicious. Always look forward to my chile relleno and enchilada combo!“

I looked over the menu and was drawn to the Kimchee Brisket Burrito filled with Brisket, Calrose rice, Romano beans, sweet potatoes, FC pomegranate BBQ sauce, chili oil, kimchi-cabbage, Monterey Jack cheese, and harissa vinaigrette stuffed in a flour burro tortilla! “Went there (party of two) last night for a meal of appetizers and drinks. We ordered the shrimp cocktail hoping for a chunky ceviche-type experience. The flavors were good and just the perfect kick. Our preference is a little less tomato juice and a little more of the chunky ingredients (reason for 4 on food). We also ordered the Queso Fundido. Very good flavors. Love the chorizo and the homemade corn tortillas.

Cadillac marg in a small glass...$19 (yikes!). Good but maybe not worth that price.

Service was excellent.

Downsides on this restaurant in general is how loud it is inside (reason for 3 of atmosphere) and how challenging to park(nothing they can do about parking).

Whoever owns this corner has put wayyyy too many busy restaurants in place for the amount of parking. So, if you want to come here arrive early as the restaurant is popular and they do not take reservations.

I definitely think overall the food is worth it and we will come back.“

It’s better in virtually every way: quality, quantity, price and what you get for your money. And they’re open 24 hours. And it’s the best place for at least 20 miles in any direction that’s open late at night. Seriously try and find a place that’s this high quality when it’s 2am and you need enchiladas or a burrito delicious and big enough to put you in a food coma there’s only one friend there for you and it’s amado’s. Extremely great value and quality. I ordered food for 40 people and only paid $415 after tax. $10/person is absolutely unheard of in 2026. Everyone was thrilled and had great things to say about the tacos.

Beyond the food, I appreciate how professional, helpful, and on time they were. They called me to confirm pick up, they were on time, everything was packaged well, and they helped me load into my car.

So I called Cervantes and spoke with Grace and she told us they could accommodate our large party and would take care of us. Grace had our table ready for our large party and we had EXCELLENT service from Grace throughout the night. Mariachis music started at 7pm and dinner was lovely. We were celebrating my father's birthday and Grace made sure it would be special. She had the Mariachis sing Happy bday in Spanish and English and she bought out candles for our cake along with plates and utensils.“
