“Missing Chopsticks is definitely a hidden gem, especially since it’s located in a business park. Inside is an intimate space with a large open kitchen. Watching the chefs cook the food with evident care was a fun touch. There’s only a couple tables on the ground floor, so you can really focus on the food and the people you’re with. The decor is modern - lots of black with white marble and gold notes. The lights look like chopsticks, which is a charming touch. The food was incredible. The kanpachi tartlet was one of the highlights for me. I’ve never had kanpachi but it paired beautifully with the shiso and pearl-shaped cucumber. The scallops were light and bright. The pate was the best I’ve had, and I like pate so I’ve tried a lot of it. The pasta with the sea cucumber is unique and well balanced with the tomato paste. The Char Siu steak and truffle potatoes are gorgeous. It’s been a while since I’ve had real truffles and I love how simply they were served. Pairing Char Siu flavours with beef is inspired. The chocolate mousse and tangerine was the perfect “not too sweet” dessert.Service is very attentive without being overbearing. The owner is also very friendly and clearly genuinely cares about patrons having a great meal. One thing to note is that the portions aren’t tasting sized. The first two courses were, the rest are appetizer sized except for the main, which is entree sized. Next time, I’ll book the 5:30 time slot and skip lunch so I can thoroughly enjoy each course without worrying about being too full.I’m also excited to try the late night menu at some point.“
“Haven't been to Yuu for a while and we went back last week. Price didn't go up much despite the inflation. Kids order some special drink and the staff even gave them a small ice-cream cone to top it off. Great gesture. Would definitely be going back more often.“
“Individual hotpots allowing for individual spiciness, soup bases are flavorful, sauce bar is well stocked, staff r attentive and replenished sauces and never allow the snacks to be low. Meat and food quality is good but as expected, good service and quality come at a premium. Worth it though!“
“In a time when customer service has seemingly taken a backseat; this place rises above and these are the type of people I wish to support and hope to succeed. What a great environment, quality items and DELICIOUS food. I could not recommend this place enough. Thank you so much for your generosity, service and amazing food. We hope to return.“
“We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“
“The food was tasty but it does come served in plastic bags. Kind of wasteful but it does make clean up a breeze and I think they cook the seafood in the bags to save from washing pots. You can get the food seasoned with garlic butter, lemon pepper, Cajun, or Captain’s boil (which is all three seasonings combined). We ordered the crab legs, clams, mussels and shrimp. I would pass on the shrimp next time but the crab, clams and mussels were very good. For the amount that you pay the value is pretty good.Bring your own gloves if you can. The ones they provide are way too large and mine had holes at the end of my dinner. They also provide bibs which is kind of fun. I would feel better if they didn’t waste so much plastic after each meal.A good place for family gatherings and even witnessed a family birthday party. We would come back.“
“Nothing like a cut out of Jay Chou to get you going for a Chinese breakfast! We came here because it was one of the only places of repute open early enough for our midday flight out of Vancouver. We got two crepes and a soy milk to share. The soy milk was a little on the sweet side, but overall everything was delicious. We weren't able to finish all of our food, and packed half of one of the crepes for later. We forgot all about it and ate it after our flight back home, and it was STILL DELICIOUS!“
“Authentic Taiwanese eatery that brings you back to the origin of the classic "hot-stir fried" dishes. It's permanently on my rotation list of cravings. Service is always pleasant and interior is tastefully decorated as well. A side of jazz in the background is a rare bonus these days.My go-to picks are the Cumin Lamb, Garlic stir-fried A-Chai (Chinese Lettuce), Ginger Clam Soup, and the Spicy Deep-Fried Chicken Steak (椒麻雞排). Their Caramel shaved ice is perfect to share with a group of friends as well!“
“Dinner with my family at Masa Ishibashi. Whole team from Tokyo Ginza. I was surprised that not many people know this place. New brands operating since 2023 Aug. and they won 1star Michelin in Tokyo and 2 star Michelin in Malaysia. Everything is phenomenal. Chef Tado and Chef Kazu server Mayumi made my night. Definitely worth the price. It’s pricy but everything they use is from Japan. If you looking for something fine dining this is the place. Reservation only tho but online booking is quick and easy.“
“Had dinner here twice last week while visiting Richmond, everything we had was awesome, no wonder the place looks so busy everytime we drove by. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion, service was friendly, fast and efficient, hard to find in chinese restaurants, Wish you would open a branch here in Calgary.“
“I had a lunch with a friend from Surrey so we met half way. I had fish tacos and a side salad. Both very tasty. My friend had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and fries. He enjoyed as well. We had a leisurely lunch catching up. Service was attentive and good.“
“I went to this place with my mom for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. On that day, we ordered Shredded pork fried rice and Beef Shank noodles. The fried rice is little oily for my liking, but it tasted great overall. As for the noodle, it was great in taste and the beef meat were tender and well-seasoned. I like this place and I would be back for other dishes on the menu.“
“Cherry's place is one of my favourite Korean spots. I have grown up with Korean friends and neighbour's who make amazing side dishes and this is so close to it! They're side dishes are refillable( PLEASE do not change this, this is how it is in Korea and I miss it!) The prices are reasonable for this area.My go to is always the Haemul sundubu-jjigae, Sweet and spicy KFC, seafood pancake, and their pan fried mackerel is amazing as well. The only thing that would make this a complete 5 star is if they offer gimbap! Occasionally I have this craving and I am certain they will do it justice.“
“can call the server from a room (if your group is big). and they will come really quickly.they got free parking in aberdeen center parking.will want to wear a dark color as its likely to get soup splattered onto ur shirt or top.they have aprons and cover for your jackets. but aprons wont save your shoulder and arm“
