“The Marigold Cafe is an absolute must-visit spot, especially when you're out on a bike trip around the peninsula. I frequently stop here during my rides, and it has become my favorite break spot. Not only is it a great place to recharge with a snack and some energy, but the atmosphere is just perfect for a relaxing pause. The cafe is always clean, giving a refreshing and welcoming vibe. Additionally, the staff are consistently friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. It's a little haven for cyclists and anyone looking for a cozy spot to unwind. “I took my Father-in-law here for lunch. He is wheelchair bound, so that is an additional layer of difficulty. We didn't have to wait too long to get in, but the waiting area was full and we didn't have a good spot to wait and the automatic door kept closing on us. Once we were seated in a booth, all was well and we did have a spot to store the wheelchair. The service and food was lovely, and portions large. The atmosphere, well the isles are narrow for a wheelchair but passable. They had a sign out front asking for applications to work there, so are they short handed? There were many tables not bussed, and this does impact the general feeling in the place. Despite that, the food was good and service excellent. I would go back!“

“Absolutely delicious savory and sweet preparations. Incredibly fresh bread, and attention to detail of the food. Service was super, Pilar our server was delightful. Nice variety of teas, and located right next to the beautiful Italian garden. Will definitely go back.“

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!“

“I always take my friend out for dinner on the birthday and many other restaurants offer a small dessert with a candle on it or a sparkler. I asked and was told they could give me a candle if I bought the dessert. I think I would take others there for their birthday but won't. It would benefit your business if you acknowledged special dates for your customers.“

Earl grey martini was tasty as well as the salted caramel bar. Nice atmosphere. Good place to go for a special occasion or date night. Best to reserve here tho. “Landed and picked up the rental car, found this place minutes from the airport. Wife has celiac and says they have gf options so off we went without much of an expectation.It's a nice little gem for sure. Very reasonably priced and delicious food. “Fish and chips were really nice as was the soup. The service was very good also. The only gripe I have is that it was very expensive for what it was. $28 for a one piece halibuti and chips?! Three of us went there for lunch, two had soup and we each had a drink with our fish and chips. Our bill, including 18% tip was $160! I think the pricing must be geared towards tourists not locals. Way more expensive than other places nearby.“

“What can I say about Julie, Toni and the staff? Outstanding. I buy food there fairly often, but my favorite is Christmas dinner with ginger carrot soup. Julie won't give me the recipe! :) The food here is fantastic and just the right amount. They work hard to make their food great. I'm glad to support this local business in Sidney.“

“We had a large party meal here. Very nice evening. Great food, no one had any complaints about food. I had 1/2 rack of ribs and a grilled chicken breast. The ribs were excellent, and the chicken was even better. We had our own room. The service was spectacular. Great evening, good food. Great atmosphere.“

“Service was excellent! But I do not recommended the Braised Short ribs at $34.00!!! Sever said it was delicious and the meat just falls off the bone..Not true at all !!! So tough and the potatoes oven roasted tasted oily and deep fried, mushroom glaze way to salty..But on a good note the seafood chowder was delicious..“

“Cool place to have a drink on a patio in LangfordStandard menu. Nothing special.The server mixing drinks has no idea how to make sangria. I got red wine with ice. Took about 4 times until I gave up a got a rum and coke. Each time took 20 minutes.“
