“This is a great spot. They make good coffee and good breakfast wraps. Pretty quick to serve unless it’s busy. They have fair prices also and are open an hour earlier than some of the other coffee shops around so now I come here in the mornings.“

“Absolutely delicious savory and sweet preparations. Incredibly fresh bread, and attention to detail of the food. Service was super, Pilar our server was delightful. Nice variety of teas, and located right next to the beautiful Italian garden. Will definitely go back.“

“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!“

“Melinda’s Bistro is literally a hidden gem in beautiful Sidney, BC. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is amazing…especially their breakfast sandwiches and soups!!! They have a lot of great items on their menu to choose from, and their prices are on par…if not cheaper…than similar cafes in the Sidney/North Saanich area. If you’re travelling to or from the ferry or the airport, you should definitely check this place out!! :)“

“Stopped in on our way home to Nanaimo from Victoria. Very cool little ice cream truck in the parking lot near the Thrifty Foods. We had a couple of sundaes. The Strawberry one was very good, but the Black Forest one was amazing. The ice cream is vegan but you would never know. It didn’t have a strong coconut flavour which I do not care for. The prices were reasonable, comparable to other home made ice cream shops. There is a nice shaded seating area and you would never know you are in a parking lot. We will be back when passing though.“

“Oh my god, i was in the middle of a divorce when i came to Q Pizza in royal oak at 2:00am, not only did it clear my mind and help me solidify my choice to leave her and the kids, but it gave me the peace of mind to accept how great everything is and move to the Turks and Caicos. “Not what I was expecting but BETTER!!!! This place was amazing and the cafe was modern, bright, cute and spacious !! They have plant based mills which was the main thing I was seeking out. And many different syrups too. My latte was amazing!!! They have a full staff so ordering was quick and my coffee came out pretty fast too for having a lot of people. I recommend if you are in the area! They have a cute side shop in the store too with cute mugs and powders to buy etc.“

“It is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. If you're headed to the ferry or airport, you should take a little detour for a pre-departure meal or snack. Their specialty lattes are great and I'm sure all the other pastries are good. I only ever get the vanilla custard Danish and I'm never disappointed. If you go in the summer they also have in-house refreshers as well which are also very good. If they break into charcuterie it would be a perfect place for me, at least.“

One star loss because the two window tables are horrible to sit at because the table legs are massive metal making it near impossible to comfortably sit at. “Good place for lunch. Value is not the best but not bad. When I was dining there the waitress was watching some Asian drama which was a bit distracting. People do not realize how cell phone speakers and their poor quality are to others not watching. Especially not great when it's coming from the someone working.“

“The FreshCoast food truck was the first time I've ever seen and tried their food.Juan De Fuca Wrap was highly recommended for me to try first and now I can see why.Taking the first bite on the wrap was mind blowing Its been almost a year since I've discovered FreshCoast Health Food Bar and have been going almost twice to three times a week.The wraps,their bowls are fabulous as well their Hot Bowls (Vegan Yellow Coconut Curry,Vegan Chili).The Staff is excellent and extremely helpful to their customers when they can't decide what to order. I got the sense they wanted to make sure the customer is happy with their order and have a positive experience. The only small criticism and I mean small, is that some times the wraps will fall apart half way through. “We recently ordered pizzas (2 vegan and 1 vegetarian) from Panago in Sidney. We were all so pleasantly surprised at the speed and accuracy in which our order was filled and thoroughly appreciated a phone call to double check an ingredient selection (regular cheese via non dairy cheese) that we had made in error. The pizzas arrived quickly, very hot - obviously fresh from the oven and delicious. We all agreed it was by far the best Panago experience we've ever had! Thanks so much!“
