“Wow now I know why I see so many people sitting outside this place every time I drive by. The yogurt is absolutely amazing. We had tropical yogurt it was passionfruit and guava, and my daughter absolutely loved being able to put all the toppings on her frozen yogurt. It was such a great treat, and it made for a great place to take my daughter on our special date.“
“This yogurt place is so good and fresh! It's way better than most chain spots I've tried. They have limited yogurt flavors and toppings but everything I've tried here has been tasty and sweet! It's a perfect cold dessert treat for any day. My personal favorite was the Italian try and strawberry sorbet and the lychee popping topping. The place itself doesn't have seating inside so you'll have to get seating outside but there's plenty outside and the seating outside is very pretty and surrounded by many flowers.“
“My daughter tried the frozen boba and loved it. She will be back to try more boba and other items on the menu. She brought me the butter cookie that's shaped like a sea shell, sorry forgot the name of them lol but it was so freaking fresh!!!“
“I have seen the truck before, but finally got to try Brown Cap because they had kindly stepped up to serve ice cream at a fundraiser event for Street Spirit newspaper. I opted for the brown cap in a cone, twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) for the flavor, and sea salt. I had the misfortune of accidentally swallowing a huge hunk of salt in my first bite, which actually stung in my throat. But later when I recovered a bit and was able to eat the rest, the chocolate shell was great, and the ice cream itself was sweet and creamy. I did find the salt quantity a bit too high for my preference. But I tried some of my partner's ice cream too, they had ordered the twist in a waffle cone with salted caramel drizzle. I'd say that is a great topping if you have a sweet tooth as it's only lightly salted. Just watch out for melting ice cream dripping down the sides!“
“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)“
“Honestly this was insanely good. I tried a bunch of flavours and ultimately landed on spicy mango coconut (vegan!! But not a sorbet!!) and honey lavender. It was delightful. Highlight of my day. The small is 2 scoops and up to 2 flavours which is really generous. The banana flavour was also fantastic. This location is steps from Mission-Delores. Absolute gem!Vegetarian options: Also vegan flavours !!“
“Garden Creamery offers some unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, though! There's almost always a line snaking outside the shop, and it can take 10-15 minutes to get your hands on a scoop (or two). The indoor seating is also very limited, so be prepared to enjoy your ice cream on the go or find a spot on a nearby bench.Despite the wait, the staff at Garden Creamery is fantastic. They're friendly, patient, and happy to answer your questions about their ever-rotating selection of exotic flavors. Here's where Garden Creamery truly shines. If you're looking for something beyond vanilla and chocolate, this is the place. They offer a wide range of options, including vegan choices, that incorporate Asian-inspired ingredients. For my visit, I tried the Calamansi Creamsicle (vegan) - a delightful tart and creamy coconut dream featuring a Philippine lemon. The Ken's Korner (Oahu) was another winner, combining Hawaiian vanilla ice cream with a sweet and savory hit of Ken's horner Hing Mui Sauce and passion fruit preserves. They also have more adventurous flavors like durian, hojicha (roasted green tea), Thai tea, and even black sesame. If you don't mind the wait and the limited seating space and you are looking for a truly unique and flavorful ice cream experience, then Garden Creamery is the place. Just be prepared to be patient and adventurous! 4 stars for the delicious and creative flavors and the friendly staff.“
“I was here for about five minutes, but the taste of the cookie milk & cookies is enough for me to give this place 5 stars this time. Not too sweet or rich (I do have a sweet tooth so that opinion is probably skewed) and I liked the simplicity of my single scoop. It was enough for me to get my fix and didn't make me feel awful afterwards. I didn't try the other flavors but they seemed like a fresh departure from the usual combinations of other ice cream spots. Also, from the utensils, bowls, and sample spoons they use it seems like this place is environmentally friendly which is a plus. The staff were friendly and approachable too. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!“
“It’s delicious and great service, my son asked to visit the place for his bday and it was closed, when i told them we did the drive from Lathrop for him they did something special for him and they really made his Day. That was really nice of them. Thank you!“
“Found this place randomly when we were in the area - Tom is so wonderful and kind. Very sweet and friendly, which definitely makes the experience even better. The ice cream is great and reasonably priced for the gigantic amount he gives. Would highly recommend coming here and seeing Tom.“
“The Banana sundae and cookie monster concrete were delicious! This was my first time trying custard (not very common in California) and I was a fan! The smell of toffee as you enter the store is divine. Lexie was extremely friendly and answered all our questions! We're excited for them to become a local favorite!“
“I’m from Portland, the home of Salt & Straw and huckleberry ice cream… I lived in San Francisco for a decade now, never been here before. Stumbled in this evening and had a cherry dipped sugar cone… best ice cream I’ve ever had. Cliff notes: I paid with Apple Pay and it was only $5.5… fantastic for the hideous inflation we’re seeing in the city with food prices.“
“Vanilla is my favorite ice cream flavor. I believe Vanilla is underrated. Vanilla ice cream is the canvas of many of my favorite ice cream combinations. This brings me to find the best Vanilla ice cream flavor I ever had " The Double Fold Vanilla" at Salt & Straw. Being Vanilla at Salt & Straw is a good problem to have.“
“Angie’s is amazing — probably the best thin crust pizza in the city! Wood fired with organic dough is the way. My girlfriend and I have tried almost all the pies on the menu and every one is great. The date + margarita with pesto drizzle are so good. Simple yet delicious apps including mixed greens salad and meatballs are also delicious.“
“Who doesn't love Mitchell's ice cream?Mitchell's Ice Cream is an absolute gem. They offer a variety of delicious flavors, from classics like chocolate to unique ones like ube and mango. The shop is busy, friendly vibe, and the staff is quick and helpful.Their commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients is evident in every bite. Don't miss the homemade cones and sundaes—they're heavenly. If you're in the area,Mitchell's is a must-visit for any ice cream lover!“
“The mango sorbet is good. We also tried the honey lavender but we weren't a big fan of it. Anything that tastes like what lavender smells like is not my favorite but i'm sure there are people who enjoy these kind of flavors. The shop is a little creamery with a few flavors to choose from. The two staff working at the time didn't seem too welcoming ): didn't see a smile at all during our visit not even to the other customers that came in When we said thank you one of the workers just awkwardly looked. If you are craving gelato this is a great place, good to always try new places alwaysss“
“In San Francisco in my opinion people are not always nice including service people, this place was awesome. They ice cream was delicious. I think the owner served us and he was super nice accommodated lots of samples, delicious, ice cream, and very reasonable prices.“
“Extremely helpful and friendly staff! They explained the different flavors in detail and were very patient with me and 3 friends deciding while there were a few people behind us. This was also like 10 minutes before closing!Got the matcha and strawberry which were such a good mix. Their matcha is perfectly balanced sweetness with a hint of bitterness from the strong matcha.I'm not a specifically dairy free person but their ice cream is the only non dairy ice cream that I have tried and really enjoyed. Will be back for more!“
“This place really is a gem! Not the best hours, but never disappoints. The owner is very accommodating and oh so sweet. Amazing prices means you can take the whole family, or be a cool local and flex on em with a new mom n’ pop shop. Great treat in the heart of the Mission. ShoutoutKid-friendliness: Samples / small sizes / affordable / not overwhelming“
“Wanted a pup cup but they were all out. They offered me a free cup with whipped cream for my puppies that were waiting outside for a treat. That was super nice of them. My puppies also enjoyed the vanilla ice cream and waffle cone we shared.“
“Gelato taste less quality than target ice cream and expensive, don't worth half of what hagendaz worth. They add gelatin and gums in the ingredients not pureEdit 3/13/2024I gave this place another try they changed the recipe no more gelatin now and tastes amazing ?will be going back for more“
“The first thing I noticed about this place when I walked in was how warm and toasty it was, which I very much appreciated since it was cold and windy outside. It made indulging in gelato a pleasant experience regardless of the weather.I sampled the vegan passion fruit gelato and then ordered a scoop of it in a small waffle cone. I wanted the vegan vainilla to pair with the passion fruit, but the staff informed me it was mislabeled and unfortunately wasn't vegan. I didn't have any lactase tablets on me, so I stuck with the safe option. There's not much seating inside because it's a small establishment, but eventually, a couple of tall chairs at the window bar opened up. This place is super cute and cozy and conveniently located next to several restaurants and stores. It's a great place to stop by for dessert!“
“My favorite place for dessert in San Francisco. I love these crepes so much! The staff are so friendly and have creative hands/minds. The crepes are always made fresh and topped with fresh delicious fruit and ice cream. Yum yum!Vegetarian options: Delicious!“
“Come for the ice cream, but consider the burger too.All of it is pretty thick and creamy. Great portioning. Surprisingly, the calamansi is my fave. It's for THE REAL calamansi lovers, a love for sour is required. But it's the most accurate calamansi ice cream I've ever had. Toasted sesame is awesome- like a sesame ball in an ice cream. Lemon blueberry swirl - all yum. more blueberry preferred. Strawberry poptart - fairly accurate. Pretty goodNow about that burger - solid. It's got all the ingredients to make one of my fave burgers - mustard grilled pattie, extra pickles, lots of onions, and a super soft bun. but it was too strong on the mustard, and the bread doesn't taste like it was cooking with the burger on the grill. A little toasty would've gone a long way“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“We were shopping in this street and were very hungry. My kid spotted this pizza place and we decided to go there. As vegetarians we ordered the Agarlic Pie, margharita pizza and garden pizza for 4 of us. We absolutely loved this cute little pizzas. All of them were great. Kids also enjoyed it. Will definitely visit next time when we are in this neighborhood!“
“Ice cream was great. The two young ladies behind the counter were helpful. It was kind of odd that they were just standing around. Kind of looking into space/bored. It wasn't busy and I'm guessing they aren't allowed to be on their phones. They did a little cleaning up but I guess everything was done. Just my random observation.“
“Amazing food with options that meet different tastes.Their burgers are so tasty and their sandwiches as well.I love their packaging has a minimal use of plastic. There's an indoor seating area which is a bit noisy but outside the terrace is just perfect, good luck finding a table when it's busy! ;)“
“Really good service and ice cream. Their ice cream choices and menu choices have a lot of really good options and are super tasty. There’s always a line out the door at this place tho because they are well known for the matcha quality and the good ice cream and lattes. They are pretty fast service too.“
“Incredible gelato!! Came here for dessert after grabbing dinner with friends. It's a cute little spot but got pretty packed while we were there because there isn't much seating. There are tables outside where you can enjoy the gelato if weather permits. The server let us sample a few flavors and I ended up getting a kids size with panna cotta and dark chocolate sorbet. Both flavors were delicious but the dark chocolate sorbet was absolutely incredible. The flavor was so rich and creamy-I had a hard time believing it was sorbet. And an even greater compliment: my friend, who had just gotten back from Italy, said that Almare is better than gelato in Italy!“
“I got the Vietnamese coffee snow with condensed milk and mochi and it was sooo good! I love getting a sweet treat after dinner and this really hit the spot. The staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for them to make our order. I would definitely come back!“
“Worth trying but not necessarily returning. The sandwiches were good but not great, fresh ingredients and well prepared but nothing nocks your socks off in terms of flavor. Ihad the Dagwood on Dutch Crunch and also tried the pastrami on a soft roll and both were just OK. Sep 2015.“
“Fresh baked cookies with very unique cookie flavors (like funfetti & carrot cake). I did expect it to be cloying and super sweet, but it was nice. You could taste the ingredients and the ice cream was great without being "syrup-y". The staff was super friendly, but be warned that they do not always have all the flavors all the time. We waited for about 15 min because we wanted to try the funfetti cookie and some were just coming out of the oven. There were also a few ice cream flavors not in stock. You can take it on-the-go and walk around Fisherman's Wharf, or you can sit in a few picnic tables and chairs to eat it there. Worth a stop and better than the chain ice cream shops nearby.“
“It’s delicious and great service, my son asked to visit the place for his bday and it was closed, when i told them we did the drive from Lathrop for him they did something special for him and they really made his Day. That was really nice of them. Thank you!“
“Stopped for breakfast one morning; what a delight! Tasty filling on a scrumptious bagel. The sight of all the donuts and pastries had us vowing to return. Which we did, scoring a box of various donuts and pastries and the biggest croissants I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth a return visit.“
“Fenton's is a long time staple in Oakland, even featured in the movie "UP" a few years ago. They make their own ice cream in house, you can see through a display window and watch them prepare it.There's a to-go line for ice cream as well as plenty of seating which can accommodate large groups. They have a big menu with burgers, fries, a variety of sandwiches. They're well known for their crab sandwich. I like eating some ice cream with some fries.Fenton's ice cream and sundaes are pretty good. My favorite flavors are Coffee Cookie Dream, Cream Caramel Almond Crunch, and Strawberry Cheesecake. They put a lot of attention in their sundaes. My cousin likes to order them deconstructed, with the syrups and toppings on the side, she thinks you get more that way.. hard to say.Come check out Fentons.“
“Deliciously fabulous ice cream with excellent service. Everyone is so helpful and very nice. The many delightful and unique flavors of ice cream make it hard to narrow it down to just a couple choices. Next time i return I plan to bring a cooler to carry back my take home ice cream choices in.♡“
“2701 Pinole Valley Rd Pinole, CA "Yumy Gurt" is a full service frozen dessert place that offers a variety of items at fair prices. This small place offers frozen yogurt, ice cream, sundaes, shakes, smoothies, flavored tea, coffee, and bubble milk. It has a prime location in a small plaza near the ramps for I-80. It's also across from Pinole Valley Shopping Center, and down the street from the Pinole Valley High School. I was in town for a Yelp Elite Event, and fellow Elite Annie L. recommended Yumy Gurt. They have a shared parking lot, but it appeared cramped so I parked on the street. It was a warm Sunday in Pinole, and the shop was a little busy with kids getting ice cream cones. Okay, I'm only interested in frozen yogurt, aka "fro-yo." The gentleman politely asked for my order, and I said.... Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl (Twist Combo), Small, with Lychee Jelly. ($4.45 + $1.00= $5.45) The non-fat choco/vanilla swirl was not too sweet, but had a good flavor. Not too chalky, with a slight tart taste. The lychee jelly was a generous serving for $1.00, and offered a unique texture and taste. Even though it's frozen yogurt, it didn't stand up well to the near 80*F temps. Oh well, I took my fro-yo to go. There were only a few small tables inside, and no outside seating. That's the only neg about Yumi Gurt, not enough seating. If you only want frozen yogurt, with no toppings, you'll get better value at a full service place like Yumy Gurt. I weighed the small cup, and it held 9-oz. $4.45 / 9-oz = less than 50 cents per ounce Check out their menu: Would I return? YES, good fro-yo, good service, nice location.“
“I've lived near this dessert spot for a whole year before trying it and I'm mad at myself that it took so long. This place is incredible and had one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. I had the strawberry yuzu cheesecake and my tastebuds were overjoyed. There aren't enough words to describe how delectable and delicious this dessert was. If I could eat it over and over again - I would!! It is a bit on the pricey side but 100% worth it. Taste is obviously spot on but the desserts are beautiful as well and you can tell they really care about their craftsmanship! The workers were also super kind and helped me choose what to order based on my preferences. I will most certainly be back and recommend it to everyone I know.“
“This place is sooooooo delicious, the ice cream is excellent, so are the shakes and the açaí bowls. Everything I had was excellent and not to mention the customer service is AMAZING, Sam is so sweet and I’ll definitely be back because of his excellent service.“
“If you've never had mochi or mochi ice cream, you should definitely order 2 or 3 of those here. We like salted caramel the best. The soft-serve ice cream is solid too, especially the seasonal flavors. If there's no seating available on the nearby benches, go upstairs, there's a couple more benches there, and they're usually available.“
“The Yogurt is okay, but good value and very popular place. You can choose and mix flavors, and up to three topping for $1.What I like most is that they put toppings inside also, they mix the topping in so it’s not just sprinkled on the top.“
“Hands down like my favourite place I have ever been for matcha. The soft serve was sooo creamy and the perfect ratio of matcha! The store is pretty small but it's so adorable because the doors are open and you can feel the breeze while you're inside. The cone is DELICIOUS and the service is good! Not a very long line when I was there.“
“Review from 4/11/24: My cousin and I took my one year old son and he loved the orange cream and sour watermelon Italian ice. The guy working was nice and let my son try the banana Italian ice, but he did not like it. My cousin ordered mango and passion fruit Italian ice. The passion fruit wasn't very tasty, but the mango was delicious.“
“I had Plain 'Mini Style', with Strawberry Jam. It was DLish!!! Just because my taste, doesn't require super sweet, so the only thing I'd change was clarification of Plain, they still sprinkled with powder sugar & Cinnamon, so I'd request No Sugar/No Cinnamon, since the waffles are sweetened with these 2 components anyway.“
“Came across this place while having dinner at the public market in emeryville. I loved the concept of cashew ice cream, it felt like a healthier alternative to regular ice cream so I gave it a go! The employee was so sweet, taking her time talking through all the flavors with me and letting me try any and all flavors I desired lol I ended up getting their matcha and specialty flavor and it was such a yummy pairing! I'll definitely go back and even try their other locations“
“these are going to be as sweet as they look. some flavors are a little better than others. but the cornbread was so good it was eaten before i could get a photo. really enjoyed the brownie batter. but the strawberry could have used a better cookie recipe and less frosting“
“This is very likely the best gelato in San Francisco. Don't be fooled by the color of the dark chocolate it's lighter than some of the other chocolates but much richer in taste. Service was great each time we went. There are some tables inside that are always full of people. It's a two block short walk to Union square where there are plenty of tables and chairs to sit and eat your awesome gelato.“
“These AMAZING people are supplying coffee to Kaiser Richmond during this tough time. From what I was told, the employees are paying for it out of their tip jars and now themselves. Wow. And their coffee is DELICIOUS. Please support them! ❤️❤️❤️“
“So creamy & delicious. You definitely get the full cashew flavor in each bite. I ordered the banana nut flavor & it tasted every bit like banana bread infused in ice cream. Even after eating at Dewie's I'm still dreaming of how flavorful & tasty it truly is.“
