“Their sandwiches are cheap , delicious , and fulfilling. For only a couple dollars each I suggest you get a couple sandwiches because you're definitely going to want one for later . The pork sandwiches are the because but the chicken is very good too. Do your self a favor and get one of each“

“Absolutely incredible. This little sandwich shop deserves so much praise. The owner is super chill and nice. It’s very small but has cute outdoor seating. Very European, relax and enjoy kinda vibe. The sandwiches we had where the most amazing sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. Super affordable prices too, which is rare to find in the Bay Area. I will definitely be going back next time in in San Fran“

“A place on 24th St., the salvation to have a coffee, eat a good sandwich, have a beer and if you like everything Italian you will find it here! The guys are very friendly and the owner can't even speak of, I really liked it, I recommend it!“

“Deli Board is a short walk from where I live and we were craving sandwiches so we checked it out. The shop itself is just a storefront, at the moment they don't have seating. We ordered two items, the Carzle Sando and the waffle fries with Mick sauce. The Carzle sando was nothing short of phenomenal. It had different meats, Romanian pastrami and brisket. The provolone cheese melts and compliments the meats really nicely. The waffle fries were also nice and crispy, and paired really nicely with the sauce. My gripe is that it is so pricy, the Carzle is $23. But the thing is that it is so dam good that it really feels worth every penny.“

“One of the best wine bars in the city! Totally unpretentious, incredibly welcoming, and always a good time. The menu has a few changes regularly and there's ALWAYS a fantastic and varied wine selection. You can tell that every person who works here is passionate and loves what they do, one of the true gems of North Beach.Great spot for a romantic date in the evening, perfect place to chill with friends in the afternoon. Highly recommend the tastings - especially on Wednesdays! If you get a chance to take a class DO IT! You'll learn so much!“

“I've been hearing about how great the bánh mì's are here and this past weekend, I finally made time to try. We went on Sunday morning around 10am, and there was a short line. After ordering, it took maybe 10 minutes - not bad, since there were quite a few people waiting for their food. My partner and I ordered a beef bánh mì, and bánh mì xá xíu, both with a fried egg. Also got nước rau má and bánh giầy. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We got to the car, and devoured the sandwiches in 5 minutes. Every thing was fantastic. Felt like I was reliving my childhood snacks. Will definitely be back!“

“I ordered a small corned beef sandwich. I was expecting something like a six inch sub. instead, what I received was closer to a divided foot long. I can eat a lot, but one half of the sandwich was enough to fill me up. Moreover, the sandwich itself was so delicious that I saved half for later so I could really focus on the flavor. The food is scrumptious and at a very reasonable price. This is easily one of the best lunch spots in San Francisco and North Beach.“

“This place has the friendliest service, we come here often, and the attached market has really nice Italian grocery items, and is great for grabbing a beverage to go with their sandwiches. The porchetta sandwich is so good, and don’t sleep on the mortadella!“

“My wife and I split a cubano and a pulled pork. The cibatta held together well and held the coleslaw and chipotle mayo without getting soggy. The cheese on the cubano was melted and stringy. When we got the sandwiches they were so hot we couldn't pick them. Delicious. And big too. We brought a 1/4 of each sandwich home. The husband and wife team were very friendly. Seating inside for 10 at most. And outside for maybe 18. They are not fast but it's well worth the wait!“

“I came across a reel on Instagram and today when we visited the Hall of Science I had to go to Southside Station. They have some of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was crispy, big and tasty, the slaw was perfectly tangy and and the sauce hit the spot. Perfectly balanced flavors in a big delicious sandwich. In addition, we tried the garlic noodles and the curly fries whichwere really good. Portions are good. I recommend this hidden gem. I'm definitely going back for the sandwich and will try the other items on the menu.“

“A great little gem in a bustling historic location. Great to sit at a little table in the plaza and watch the people and pigeons! Friendly and prompt service. Drip coffee was fresh and hot. High-lite was the tasty croissant breakfast sandwich. Made fresh on the spot and not reheated like most cafes. Lots of toppings and options - next time I’ll try a veggie bagel sandwich!“

“Love this cozy streetside shop. Reminds me of NYC. Get a hefty and tasty breakfast sandwich on focaccia for a hefty price but well worth it. Blueberry muffins are bomb. Wish there were drinks besides coffee but there is a shop just down the street where you can get some Martinelli’s. Bada bing bada boom.“

“Came here on a rainy day and was surprised to see it packed. Seems like a popular work from home spot, which also means quite hard getting a seat on a weekday especially during lunch. The french onion soup was flavored, but dare I say a little too much cheese that most of my scoops were just hardened globs of cheese. Cappuccino was delicious and so was the pastry! Would come in again but this time take it to go and eat outside near the park :)“

“Remember the grade school taunt, "If you love something, why don't you marry it?" I totally want to marry this sandwich. In fact, I want to commit polygamy. These sandwiches are THAT amazing. The pork belly sandwich has these crispy nubs of deep fried pork skin, thoughtfully diced so that your teeth don't struggle, scattered on top of the filling of the most tender slices of pork belly imaginable. And the Le Dip? Don't get me started. The sirloin is perfectly cooked and shaved so thin that you get the mille feuille effect (Have you ever had mille feuille tonkatsu? Yeah, it's like that). The horseradish sauce is bracing, not overwhelming. And the sandwich fillings are nestled in this special Vietnamese baguette which is unlike a French baguette. It has a glassine crust that shatters the moment your teeth make contact and gives way to a pillowy interior. Eating this sandwich is the type of experience that makes you melancholy the closer you are to the end because you don't want the experience to come to an end.“

“It can be easy to walk by Heroic Italian and not realize it! There are no signs for the restaurant. Instead you will see a wine shop. Wine shop in the front, Heroic Italian kitchen in the back. When I entered, the man at the cashier explained that I could take a seat at any table outside, scan the QR code and order directly on my phone. The QR code links to the specific table you're at so they know who to bring the food to. I ordered the OMG spicy, no lettuce, add burrata. This sandwich was beyond delicious, literally the most perfect sandwich. I should have kept the lettuce on there since it prob would have balanced out the saltiness of the meats, but that's my fault! The roasted tomatoes were my favorite part!! They were so incredibly flavorful! My mouth is drooling just thinking about them! I can't wait to come back to SF to try their other sandwiches!“

“Guys they absolutely mean it when they say these sandwiches are massive. But you have to stop by!! After seeing the reviews on Yelp I decided to pick this up for lunch. I walked in and was the only one and the lady at the cash register was so nice making conversation with me. As a tourist it was great to ask her questions and have a quick chat. I ordered what everyone suggested which was the Meyer on a Dutch crunch and believe this sandwich was amazing and I loved the left overs. The slaw was great and the meat was tender and the bread... I want that bread every day Small shop so definitely more to go but this place is worth all the hype!!“

“First of all, Ann at the counter is just a lovely person to be greeted by. It was a pleasure and she was warm and welcoming from start to finish.Okay, I ordered The Pastrami to go. My thoughts, being a first timer, were to go with a classic. Something that shouldnt be made wrong in any sandwich shop. They didnt disappoint. It was everything I expected in a pastrami with one caveat: I had it on Dutch Crunch bread.(first time having it on that kind of bread)They had a bunch of other options, not just pastrami. If youre in the mood for a good sandwich in The East Bay, head to Oakland and hit up Lunch Box.“

“Not flashy at all in regards to the 'sit down chow down atmosphere. It's because while you're sitting down and looking outside the windows of the restaurant you'll definitely be subjected to viewing a dumpy looking Valero Gas Station connected to a strip mall. But, as a 'take out eatery', my Five Star Customer Satisfaction Rating (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) could not be any higher. These are great Cheese Steak/Chicken hoagie style sandwiches that they serve at the Mills Hoagie Shop. It's a good quality, very tasty, and it's also a good quantity of steak/chicken meat that you do receive in your sandwich.Remember that it's a 'Cash Only' establishment.“
“This is a good lunch spot for FiDi. Sandwiches are $12.50-$14. Salads are $10-$11. Prices on their website are outdated. My sandwich , the LLB special $12.50 was roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, provolone on dutch crunch, was alright. The New England Clam Chowder $8.50 was chunky and not filled all the way up. That tasted OK as well. Friendly service for a counter style restaurant. Kitchen was fast taking account they were busy. I was pretty full afterwards.“

“I've now been to Deli Lama about four times and have had a great experience every time. It's in a random part of town but usually there's parking nearby even though some of the spots might not look legit because of construction but regardless, the food is tops and it's a great value too. I've never made it early enough to get breakfast options (and I love breakfast burritos, so I wanna do that some time) but their sandwiches are really solid. I got the TPA most recently on Dutch crunch and it's filling and a great deal! Definitely wanna try more different options but will just have to get up earlier!“

“Simply the bomb, no matter what you get on the menu. Neighborhood staple. Locals only type joint. Pictured is the biscuit sando with chicken apple sausage. The biscuit goes crazy… with some syrup? Game over The banana bread is so lite and served warm!!! The chocolate cookies also always hit. Personally a fan of how they actually cook the onions all the way through so that they’re sweet with your potatoes!! It’s all in the details. 10/10 service always. Very rare quality joint. “Don’t overlook this little sandwich shop. I read reviews and decided it sounded good. It was charming. Loved the little place. The sandwich was amazing and huge. I had a turkey sandwich with everything on it and toasted. I wish I could share the flavor - but just YUM! While we were there a guy came in and said he had come to San Francisco on business and had traveled across town to come get a sandwich. He said he used to come to the shop on his way home from high school many years ago. It was so good he just had to come back and get a sandwich.“

“We dropped into Gambino’s for lunch on Friday because we were going to the Exploratorium. We just needed to eat before our adventure and we found this place on the corner and decided to try it. The food is absolutely top notch for a little sandwich place. Like real Italian sandwiches and pasta. I ordered the Eggplant parm and Ooo Boy! Totally Heaven. The others had a Reuben, cheesesteak, and The Gentleman's sandwich which they all raved about. We are a bunch of tough critics when it comes to food and it’s my pleasure to say to anyone considering a lunch in San Francisco…Just go to Gambino’s, you won’t be disappointed.“

“My friend Rebecca took me here when I first moved to the Mission. I revisited today, and the sandwiches filled my east coast deli dreams. The owner of this local place has been behind the counter more than 20 years, and is a talker with a heart of gold. Juan made my sandwiches while smack talking Philly sports teams, made one of the local characters a meal on the house like it was a usual thing, reminded another guy to get the long and short sandwich because his wife gets mad when he comes home without food for her (as a wife that does not know his wife, I can confirm this), and talked to another lady about bologna sandwiches. She wasn't sure about the sandwich so then he gave her a generous taste with bread and mayo and then she decided she wanted a frozen pizza but didn't know where to get one and he gave her directions! To walk and take the bus! I can barely handle my own thoughts let alone other people for more than a few hours so this man truly is a magical unicorn and must be honored. I loved hearing him tell stories about riding his lowrider down Mission. And he makes his own bread. The suns back, so grab a sammy from him and hit the park. Tell him the Indian lady from Philly in overalls sent you“

“Embarcadero Center Gem: Unwrapping the Delicious Secret of 5th Avenue Deli & Market I was looking for something new to try when I got hungry, so I asked my colleague for a recommendation. She suggested 5th Avenue Deli & Market, a small, hidden gem tucked away in the Embarcadero Center near the corner of Clay and Drumm streets. They offer a large selection of sandwiches, non-alcoholic drinks, and chips to accompany their creations. Since I'm not a picky eater, I asked the friendly cashier what their most popular sandwich was. Without hesitation, he declared, "SanFranPsycho!" This sandwich features honey turkey, bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic butter, pesto, and Cajun mayo, all piled high on your choice of bread. I went with sourdough, gutted out and toasted with everything. While 5th Avenue has no indoor seating available, there are benches outside in the Embarcadero Center. I took it back to the office, and with the first bite, I was in love! The sandwich was perfect - the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, the flavors exploded in my mouth, and it was incredibly filling. I'm officially a fan! If you work nearby and have a sandwich craving, check out 5th Avenue Deli & Market. This is one sandwich experience you won't regret!“
“Been going to Cafe 550 for a bit and as a lover of sandwiches I REALLY love this spot. The proprietor is super friendly and takes pride in his craftsmanship. I've only got the Californian since it was the first sandwich I got and loved it so much I just keep ordering it. Great value here too for a nice big and tasty sandwich! “We came here on a Saturday and this place was bustling. We honestly probably would have missed it if we didn't overhear someone walking near us across the street asking if they still had strawberry cheesecake. They had such a selection of items but because the products are inside the building on display while the clerks are outside on the sidewalk, it is a bit hard to see how their items look like and therefore a little bit difficult to choose from. The strawberry shortcake was delicious, even though it was super sweet. It was rich but had great flavors.“

“This sandwich is delicious. I've tried their other items but the sandwich is the must try. On Saturdays there is usually a line but due to the limited menu, the wait is not too bad. Once you get closer, you can see all the workers assembling sandwiches to heavy music, wiping up all the juices on their cutting board with your sandwich bread. The food is well priced well and can easily be shared if you are just looking for a light bite. Once you grab your food, there is plenty of outdoor seating nearby to enjoy your meal.“

“If you are going to LabCorp on Solano and you have to fast, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping into this place to get a breakfast sammy after your blood draw is over.
