“My husband and I enjoy Indian food and we’re happy to discover India Oven. Our waiter was very helpful in assisting us with selections from the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the presentation and the variety of tastes.”

They were all amazing, a friend of ours suggested adding sausage to the mushroom pizza, will def try that next time! We went on a Friday night, there was a line out the door. The hostess took our name and said it would be about 25 minute wait, but it was only 15. Mike, our server, was very friendly and took great care of us, making sure that our 2 year grandson that was with us was well taken care of. Glasses never went empty before another beer was offered, and the food came out quickly. Highly recommended!”

“We love Max's from SanFran. The food is very consistent, but the service has been questionalbe for the past 10 years of stopping in Auburn from Reno. Seems like they only cater to locals and don't care about travelers. Example: We were seated today. Cashier cleared and wiped table but did not set the table, give menus or even ask about drinks. Took another 15 minutes for our server to appear, and she only brought napkins. Took another 10 minutes to get menus and silverware. When the order was taken, food came fast. We only spent an hour there, but when you are paying 75.00 for lunch of 3 people, I expect a little more gratitude. I know serving is hard, and they depend on tips, but here it seems to be expected, and they don't want to earn it. We will continue to go there, but we know what to expect.

“Best Thai in town, hands down! I worked right down the street and used to get take out from this place a LOT. I can't count how many times I have eaten here, and I have literally NEVER had bad food! Honestly blows my mind, everyone has off days, right? Not sure how, but not Auburn Thai Garden. Oddly enough it was probably my 50th or so visit before I ever dined in, which was a surprisingly good experience! As a cult follower of their take-out, I had never experienced their salad, which is downright craveable! Atmosphere is good, and in all my experiences, the people have been very nice. They do close every day for the staff to have a lunch break before the dinner period, and it's just something you get used to. The staff are all hard workers who turn out a huge volume of food every day (at very fair prices), and I personally feel they deserve the break. A lot of restaurants are open for dinner only, so I'm just thankful this one is available for lunch! It's clearly posted in their hours on both their Google and their website. As for the friendliness of the staff, in all of my MANY experiences they have been very nice to me. There is a little bit of a language challenge, which I think some people mistake as the staff being short or rude. Overall a fantastic place and one of the top 5 things I miss having relocated out of the area.”

I lived in Philly for two winters and a summer and ate my fill of cheese steak Sammie's and have missed them deeply over the years since I returned to California but no more!! I don't know if all the locations are this good but I can tell you these folks have it Down!! I have only taken a bite of my son's cold sandwich and it was equally delicious but can't pass up the loaded cheese steak. I have had the original and it is excellent too. The bread to content ratio is spot on. The people there have consistently been pleasant and professional and the place is always clean but doesn't smell like a hospital when you walk in. Seriously, give them a try if you haven't.

“I have lived in Foresthill, CA for over 40 years. I Remember the days when Black Bear opened. Every time I have family in Area, just need a great burger, little late going home and do not want to cook or just because i want a meal, I have ate at Brown Bear so many times over the last 40 years. Over 500 times with over 2000 customers with me. Understand, I have Managed restaurants for 20 years and it is one of those things that I can do. I can see behind the scene by seeing the front. In other words, I do not have to walk in the back in order to understand if it is clean, keeped, managed. By seeing all the rest it tells me if Management and Employees are following values and procedures which makes a great restaurant. I have never had any issue with the Auburn, CA restaurant. Not one. Great food, great portioned size meals, fresh items, friendly seivice, and most important very clean. Even down to the lights and bottom side of tables. I also should add that for the price, I personally think it is great because I love having half of my meal 5 hours later. Visit Auburn Brown Bear Restaurant and prove me wrong.”

“Moving from NYC, I was worried about not being able to find good Chinese food. This place is the best Chinese food I’ve had to date, so excited for it to be local. The staff is warm and kind, and manage food allergies with grace. I’ve been here a few times over the past year, and it’s fresh and delicious every time. Nothing beats Chang Brothers on a rainy day. Highly recommended!

“Friendly service, excellent menu options and very fast service. Convenient drive thru helps if you’re on a short break from work or have to eat on the go. The inside isn’t very special, there are some tables for a sit down lunch and the salsa bar is a nice touch. The food is very good, especially for the price. Not sure why someone said flavorless, but the three times I’ve been there I’ve really enjoyed it. I like to get the Habanero salsa and dump it in my burrito. I only wish the habanero was hotter!

I love the tortillas they have with Parmesan on them. My personal favorite tacos are the carnitas and fish ones. They actually didn’t bother calling numbers to come get your order for dine in but brought to the table. Nothing special in decor but it’s clean and bright. Same goes with the restrooms.”
