“We had brunch at Morning Glory on a Wednesday. We arrived at 11:15 AM and were told there was a 45 min wait. We were called back after 25 min and seated at the counter. For drinks, we ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and maple latte. Both drinks tasted great. The matcha latte had a strong matcha flavor and it was not overly sweet. I considered getting the chai latte but our waiter, Jesse told me the chai comes from a powder and it's quite sweet. The maple latte was good - the maple flavor was quite subtle. For food, we tried the souffle pancakes, breakfast carbonara, egg mcfunnin, and crispy hashed potatoes. The souffle pancakes tasted very good - they were surprisingly eggy and they were somehow dense but also fluffy. I don't know if they are very similar to a Japanese pancake but we enjoyed them - I suggest getting the berries with them so add some tartness and constrast to the pancakes. The breakfast carbonara is perfect for someone looking for a filling breakfast - the pasta, cheesy sauce, and meat were all great. I got the egg mcfunnin which I loved. The English muffin was super fresh and soft and the eggs, ham, and cheesey sauce in the sandwich were perfectly seasoned and assembled in a way that you could actually eat it as a sandwich and not have food in your lap. Lastly, the side of crispy hashed potatoes were delicious. They very crispy on the outside but the inside was still soft and tender. I enjoyed the meal - great food and service. I would definitely recommend Morning Glory for brunch! Also FYI, the Morning Glory host stand is located above Farmer's Table - keep an eye out for a staircase between Farmer's Table and the Little Italy Food Hall.Parking: Parking is very difficult in the area since it's Little Italy. There are a limited number of free parking spots and the paid parking lots are quite expensive. When we went, there was no valet available in the area either.“
“Came in on a busy Monday but only had to wait 10 mins! Never had been to this place before but was delighted by Sebastian who accommodated us well and who always was checking on us. The food was so good and loved the crepes at the end very yummy veryyyyy yummy!“
“I love Lucky’s ~ he’s a one man band and is such a great man to talk to. I can’t wait to go again.Parking: We parked on the street with no issue at all.Kid-friendliness: My sons love coming here. They are welcomed and Lucky talks to them like they are his own children. He even told my son he couldn’t have soda and brought him milk instead ? I love him!“
“Nice to little cafe inside the TD America building. I got the French toast special with both sausage and bacon. And then my friend got the waffle special. Everything was excellent. Eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage was flavorful, bacon was meaty and flavorful, and the French toast and waffles were both very good. We will definitely be back.“
“The food was delicious! The server was so friendly and he was knowledgeable enough to give suggestions for gluten-free and vegetarian options. I enjoyed my food very much! The atmosphere is okay. Not super new designed and big, tables are close to each other but cool place to go sometimes.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options“
“Best food in town!!!! The ambiance is the best brunch feeling while the food is so diverse and covers all types of foods. The waffles are amazing and the breakfast menu is very good. The kufta and eggs are tasty. The stuffed breads and menemen sausage is wow. The bread freshly made in front of you is wow also. They also have a healthy menu too for those who want that. Mimosas are so good.“
“I finally tried the pumpkin waffle and it was lighter than I expected and was delicious. Friendly service, few people there the last hour before closing. The parking was a test of patience.Parking: Beware the parking spaces are in high demand and the parking meters are not always in working order. Twice the parking meter I was at did not work. I was so excited to find a spot and then had to move once because the meter was broken. I learned my lesson from a time before when I was given a ticket. It was drizzling and the meter to the left facing the restaurant was malfunctioning. The interface was hard to read because of the elements. I guess they malfunction in the rain. I wish there were more parking options. I miss free street parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a smaller place, the chairs and vibe are more adult-y. The chairs are more for couples and the seating is tight. There are many other better options for kids.“
“Was wanting something different than the standard chain breakfast spots in San Diego and this place hit the nail on the head.First time here and was not disappointed. Service was great all around from the hostess, to the waiters, bussers, all around. And there was no wait! Overall, the place has a really welcoming vibe which is something I haven’t encountered and appreciated. Plenty of space inside as well. Really diverse menu; looking forward to returning and trying more of their items. Alcohol menu is solid, from bloody Mary’s to mimosa flights to micheladas even. Had the chicken fried steak and it was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had in San Diego. Look forward to returning and bringing more people with me to have a taste of this hidden gem!“
“Decided to grab a quick brunch after a long flight. The food didn’t disappoint at all! Highly recommend the tiramisu pancakes. Free refill of good house blend coffee was going all around. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Shout out Thomas!“
“I got the chicken Chipotle sandwich and my friend got the tuna salad sandwich. She got the chicken noodle soup on the side while I got the house made kettle chips. Everything was so so delicious. It all tasted so fresh. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is so friendly and there was not a single thing that missed. Very well done and hats off to the owner.“
“I had their breakfast burger with house potatoes & it was delicious! I am also a fan of their the ketchup. It is a little on the vinegar side but it works; it is hit-or-miss because some of my friends didn’t like it.We also had great service from our waiter Joey, despite it being very busy here. The weather was perfect & we sat outside at the front.“
“Food came out fast but that was probably because it was like an hour before it closed. The food was pretty good and the waiters and waitresses were niceAlso if you get the Chorizo burrito, make sure you know youre gonna finish it cause they make the fattest burrito ive seen ever“
“The food is amazing I recommend the Good Morning America breakfast bun. It's so amazing. The service was excellent as well Aleah was very helpful and made my coffee very tasty. The ambiance is very chill, free water is available and there is an outdoor patio to hang out. Definitely recommend going 5/5 for sure!“
“The google reviews of the crème brûlée French toast brought us here and my god this place is amazing. After studying the menu closer, we could not decide on what to eat. Everything sounds incredible and all the prices are just spot on. I landed on the Mashed Potato (waffle) and I loved it! The mimosas are great too, and a great price as well. Our server was so outgoing and the location is gorgeous. We’re trying to go to new places during our stay here, but this one is singing the sirens song.“
“Came here for breakfast. Service was fast. I was seated almost immediately and my server brought out a cup of coffee for me to start on right away. This guy worked fast and monitored everyone in his area like a hawk. I decided on the Greek style omelet with egg whites, feta cheese, spinach and olives. I also ordered a tall glass of fresh orange juice which he brought over immediately. Sounds delicious, I thought. While waiting for my omelet, my server came over to refill my coffee at least 3 times - one time he filled it after I had only taken 2 sips of coffee lol. Wow, I love this guy! Every restaurant server in America needs to learn from him. I don't think the wait for my meal took more than about 6 minutes. He brought out a beautiful piping hot dish with a bowl of fruit in the middle that looked delicious. I dug in as I was pretty hungry. It was good with a real strong Mediterranean flavor. The only issue I had with the omelet was there were just too many olives stuffed inside which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. I pulled out at least 10 olives and now the meal tasted much better. The meal was a little pricey at $28 but the food was good quality. The fruit was fresh, the coffee hot and satisfying and orange juice tasted freshly squeezed.“
“Hannah's Gourmet in San Diego, California, deserves a solid 5 stars! Their vanilla lattes are superb, striking a perfect balance of coffee and vanilla. The green chilaquiles are an absolute delight—crispy tortilla chips, vibrant green sauce, and fresh ingredients create an unforgettable Mexican-inspired experience. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff complete the fantastic dining experience. Don't miss it for an authentic culinary journey!“
“Woah , stumbled upon this gem while on Vacation ! Absolutely hands down , the best meal of our entire trip ♡ The service was great ♡ , they were very attentive , bubbly , & offered great recommendations! We ended up trying the French Toast , Maggie's Green Chilaquilles , Chile Relleno Omlette , & the Biscuts & Gravy ( SOS ) ( Reminded me of my Childhood ) THANK YOU !!!!“
“100% transparent review. Parkings a little tight Food is 100% worth every bite.(I got the biscuits and gravy plus) Service was great, the young man serving made returners feel like regulars. Will definitely bring my family back not only for the food but to also add a little color.“
“We had a reservation and when we checked in we were told it was a 20 minute wait. What? I'm less than a few seconds the manager turned around and said -well seat you in just a moment and about two minutes later they did. That was the only glitch. Server was great and the doors was very good. Even though they were h busy it was a nice exlerince.“
“Family House is the place to get down for breakfast or brunch! The food is always great the service is fast friendly and welcoming! My usual breakfast goto is the machaca with flour tortilla and coffee. As for recommending a specific dish. Everything is good! And not just being biased cause I've been going since the 90s LOL!“
“We always leave with a full stomach! For this occasion we order the Breakfast Sampler and the World-Famous Pancake combo (w/strawberry banana pancakes) and everything was great! The pancakes are always soft and fluffy (obviously tasty) and they always get your eggs done right (we chose over-easy and sunny-side up).“
“The Mission has AMAZING breakfast food. I've had the chilaquiles and my husband has had 2 dishes. I look forward to more plates and I'm very curious about the coffee as well. They also have a reward system when using your # or Cash app. Service is always “
“The service isn't fast but the character of the staff and the delicious food will leave you smiling all day. Vegan options available. I had the tofu Ranchero served with fried potatoes.Vegetarian options: Vegan options. Tofu scramble can be substituted for any egg dish. Soyrizo also available.“
“We found our place at the end of our overseas trip. We should have gone there earlier... Awesome food, great coffee, actually it was the best we had in America, comparable to the ones we have in New Zealand.I have recommended it to all our friends and family... We were really impressed.Kudos to the team!???? “
“The bacon and eggs were great! I also had the apple fritter pancakes which were average. Coffee was good and strong, though. Overall it was a very good atmosphere but the pancakes could have had a little more flavor ( kind of dry on one hand but moist where the apples were located on the pancakes). Worth a return visit to sample more foods.“
“Went for the first time after seeing this place for years. Absolutely amazing food and top quality ingredients. 10/10 will be back. The pancakes are incredible and the service was top notch. They customized our order so we could try multiple items. Loved “
“Wow this place is a hidden Gem great place to eat the food was awesome I ordered the Broadway which is grilled ham cheedar cheese melted with avocado super delicious with a side of fries I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...????“
“This place is stunning. Ryan the owner clearly cares about delivering a great experience.I’ve been to many restaurants and bars in downtown San Diego. This is one of the best. I had a delicious brunch here. Easily one of the best. When in downtown, check it out.“
“7 Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown San Diego. Their sandwiches have the best bread, and the pesto pasta side is incredible. My favorite sandwich is the Dank, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.Parking: Since the restaurant is Downtown, the parking is either paid parking meter or a paid lot.“
“Tu 3/5/2023 10am-ish ?, Jay started me with coffee ☕️ on the couch, then Letzi got me everything I wanted & needed for breakfast. So good! ?Wed 3/6/2023 9:30-ish ? Julio, Jay & Clemente dialed me right in today with a Golden State Latte coffee, & then a crème brûlée French toast. Really good!Th 3/7/2023 11-ish ? Bumped into GM Zach right away who was kind enough to get me started with a Velvet Latte on my favorite couch ?️ seat. Then Amanda, then Laurie made the rest of my stay awesome.Anyway, thank you all! See you again soon.“
“When I first walked in, and had to check in, I thought, uh oh... snobby wine bar. Well, it is kinda a hipster wine bar, but still pretty cool! It's like walking down into a wine cellar at a Napa winery with it's concrete floors and sparce interior decorations. There are bars set up all around, and little couches for people in the middle of the room.“
“Food was ok .. small we were told 20 min for table but took around 45 min .. it was a Sunday too .so ok no problem.. food was ok .. the waiter was nice but everyone in the front was super busy and they needed someone to bus tables ... Had to ask for utensils twice .. close to Little Italy ..“
“This place is amazing. Service is always amazing. Food is great! My husband and I are plant-based, so we appreciate that vegan section on the menú. It’s not lazy, like other places tend to be with their plant-based options. My go-to is the Jamin’ Bennie and my husband’s is the vegan frittata. ??Vegetarian options: Vegan options to be exact. As well as begs of course.Jammin’ BennieVegan FrittataMushroom and pesto eggs Benedict.(vegetarian). I like to add vegan sausage.“
“This place is a San Diego grown classic. Food is solid but the hospitality is noticeably extraordinary. Staff is extremely nice and very attentive. Excellent experience from start to finish. They set a gold star bar for hospitality and whoever is doing the training and hiring does an excellent job because there are so many staff and everyone who interacted with me was on point which is super rare.“
“Great breakfast!! The biscuit on this country Benedict was maybe one of the best I've ever had. It's SO big and good. AND they served this with three poached eggs rather than two. The biggest benedict portion I've ever had and super tasty!“
