“The cashier recommended the taco platter because i was so overwhelmed by the complete plant based ingredient menu, I didn't know where to start, do I really enjoyed the taco platter with tree variations of the taco ingredients ,all plant based that completely out did any conventional Mexican food i had ever had, and the energy i felt afterwards was great in comparison to wanting to pass out from food coma“

“Very good service. They treated us very respectfully and attentively during our stay. The special tacos are quite large with a price of $10 each and the mini tacos or street tacos are $5. Their drinks are delicious and fresh fruit waters even more so. Beers in variety. I was satisfied with a specialty taco and 2 street tacos. The place is clean and quiet.“

“We were visiting East County and I googled "Vegan Near Me," and El Veganito came up. Vegan Mexican Food! Amazing. It's just amazing food, in general. I got the California burrito, and it was delicious Mexican food and huge! One burrito was lunch and dinner. Just a note, the restaurant is in a food court and not visible from the road. I highly recommend El Veganito.Vegetarian options: All Vegan!“

“Local food truck doing it right! This place is a gem. Been there about 7 or 8 times and it's always a good time. Usually get the fish tacos or the birria ramen, and take it.next.door to the Whistle Stop to have a beer while I'm eating. All the locals in South Park love this place and it's for good reason.“

“Nothing is perfect they say but Brigantine is close. The only thing that I'm not cool with are mob scenes. Well Taco Tuesday is elbow to elbow Be prepared to be social and party like 1999 because the $7 Happy Hour menu is a party. I've been coming here since 1999 so I partied! with oyster shooters, calamari and shrimp cocktail Margaritas weren't the buzz. Stick to wine!!“

“Must visit if you are in the area. These tacos are DELICIOUS! Don’t expect a quick Taquería, these tacos are made to order with care. The corn tortillas are soft and clearly handmade, the fish has the perfect ratio of meat to crisp, and the slaw toppings are extremely thoughtful and unique.Big time recommend!Vegetarian options: Have a mushroom taco that is delicious!“

“I actually went to the hot dog stand. They have bacon wrapped hot dogs just like in Tj with mayo, mustard, ketchup, tomatoes, and sautéed onions. The onions were perfectly over sautéed which made the hot dog very good and to my liking. You can say authentic Tj street dogs are served here. Can't wait to go back for their street burgers.“

“Nates is great. There is normally live music, so be prepared if you plan to sit outside. I find the older I get, the more I want to tell people to turn things down. My 10th grade English teacher used to say "decibels" when we got too loud. I hear her voice in my head so much now. If you're old and ornery like me, it is much quieter inside. There is a decent amount of seating inside or out, so you should have options.I mostly get the French toast plate. I always have leftovers. I've tried a few of the ornery dishes and have yet to complain about anything. The bathrooms always seem tended to. The staff is nice. I enjoy talking with them while I pretend to be confused about what I'm going to order. You know how we attempt to try and expand ourselves. Try something new. I know I'm going to land right back at the French toast, but I make the effort. There is a garden store attached. There are a few animals, goats, Turtles, tortoises and such. There are also plants and flowers. It's nice to walk through after eating. Pretty ambiance to enjoy after eating. You can get a little walk in.“

“Al Pastor Town truely lives up to their name as they offer 5 unique types of Al pastor meats and more. I was there when they opened at noon and got the Al Pastor Roio Burrito.Service was pretty slow but the staff were great. Eventually, I got the burrito and took the most blissful first bite. The burrito was packed with meat where every bite caused juices to come gushing out and cover every taste bud. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, I tried using their 2 sauces: salsa verde (not very spicy) and what I think is mango habanero (spicier). The owner really played matchmaker because the burrito and the sauces was a complete match. 5/5 I'll need to come back and try the rest of the flavors.Atmosphere was great imo but is not for everybody. The place is inside a mart and is not really a place to sit down and dine.“

“If you're like me, from somewhere else and you are looking for the perfect taco experience, look no further. This isn't my first time, and this time, I sorted it sorted by actual customers. I walked in because the group of ten dudes looked local and it seemed to be their spot.I ordered three tacos al pastor. The nice young lady behind the counter asked if I wanted to mix it up and suggested the asada. I decided to take the suggestion and made it four tacos instead. What came out, and quickly at that, was beyond my wildest street taco dreams. The recommended beef was the most flavorful taco meat I have ever had.It was less than $20 and the four tacos were almost too stuffed with meat, it was held in by a wrapper I had never seen before, but there were no complaints from me.I felt like I picked the best place.“

“5 stars for food- the food was fresh, authentic and delicious! 5 stars for cleanliness- tables were quickly cleared and salsa bar spotless) 5 stars for quick service, fresh food ready in less than 5 min. And most importantly 5 stars for the employee (manager?) Who reminded my friend and I that we were great mothers after a horrible customer and person berated us for letting our kids play with a salt shaker(which we cleaned up) while waiting for our food to be up. He also brought the kids stickers and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience despite the customers negative comments which he had no control over. This meant so much to me and there is no doubt that we will be back!“

“These are some damn good tacos! I got the pollo and al pastor, and the al pastor was better. Both were excellent but the pork had a better flavor than the chicken. I'm normally a pretty picky eater but the whole bite was great and worked extremely well together.“

“The adobada is a must try when you're here! I got one but I suspect I should have gotten two... and maybe the adobada fries. I will be back! It's a bit confusing for your first time, but the security guards are great at directing people into the respective meat lines to order. If possible, I would also ask for extra onions and cilantro since they seem to skimp on this a bit. Ambience: I can see how it gets busy in here, by the time I was done with both meat lines I was able to snag a seat by the window counter. Everyone I interacted with who worked there was friendly, patient and helpful.“

“Probably the healthiest grab-and-go option on the beach! Service was fast and friendly. The ceviche was delicious and fresh. The inside of the restaurant was cute and clean, but it's so close to the beach that I found a bench with an ocean view to eat at. I want to try the shrimp tacos next.“

“This place is authentic, delicious, fast, and affordable. Everything you could ever want in your neighborhood Mexican place, and much better than some over hyped places like tacos El Gordo or Oscars. The location is a bit sketchy, but like come on... Isn't that where the best Mexican food is? And like when I'm done eating, you can feel it on the way out the next day if you know what I mean, but that only adds to the excellence that is Humerto's! But actually though, I wouldn't overdo it on their salsa as it can be quite spicy.Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this as a go to quick take out place for authentic and cheap Mexican food!“

“Ordered the Wet Birria Tacos with everything on it and despite the sizes of them being small (see lime for scale), they pack a punch for flavor so get extra! The service was speedy, and they were super gracious with explaining how they work. “Definitely think the service could take this over and above. For being a staff that appears to also have extra people bus food would think requesting chips salsa refills for drinks etc would be bit quicker turnaround. Love scene, classy and chic with yummy food including the grilled Tiger shrimp fajitas or anything with those shrimps are must order. Also love the queso, sucker for good queso.“

“Yes, we get it, there’s tons of homeless people outside. What do you expect, you’re in a trolley station in DT, San Diego. Lets focus on the taco shop though. Prices are great, staff is fast, really friendly, and patient considering the type of customers that come inside and food is good. I often get the roll tacos or the cali burrito and they never disappoint.“

“I stop here every time I’m in this side of my neighborhood. Take the 15 freeway and Exit El Cajon Blvd, go East a few blocks but don’t pass Menlo Ave. Look for Fish and Birria signs waving. They have the whole parking lot just drive in! I usually have two or three Fish tacos (w/o crema) and a pop then they usually know when I’m done because my to-go order is hot and ready!! My grandson is very picky but he looks forward to their Carne Asada Quesa taco’s. I’ve tried a lot off their menu and have never been disappointed, ever. They also GIVE you a “Consommé” which is actually a small portion of their seafood soup not just the fluid, I’ve had whole shrimp in mine many times and small pieces of fish. They’re not stingy with their variety of hot salsas/chili pods and garnishes (limes, cilantro, onions and pickled onions. Lots of ice cold canned and bottled drinks to choose from. This is my only food truck I trust 100% and love their quality of cooking. You’ll agree too once you try them out!“

“I don’t know who gave this place lower than 5 stars but it couldn’t have been because of the food. It’s THE best taco joint I’ve ever been to. And for someone raised in AZ and then spent about 4 years in both SoCal and NorCal, I know what I’m talking about. I had three tacos and chips and salsa. It was almost more than I could eat and I was hungry! Here are the biggest things for me other than the taste of the meats. They literally have (at least) six different salsas. The two brought out with the chips were a green one with cilantro and chunks of avocado. Not spicy enough for me but loved the make up. The other red one is probably in my top 3 salsas ever. The right amount of spice (I like spicy) with great taste and garlic! The other four salsas were decent that came out with the tacos, but for me, the fact that they have six salsas to choose from. Are you kidding me? Great job on whom ever came up with this! Knocked it out of the park. Oh, and btw, Cali beats AZ in overall Mexican food. Just sayin…“

“They are right outside a liquor store in a parking lot, which I love. Honestly, when I saw that, I knew I had to try them. They are open everyday starting at 5pm. They have a large variety of food options. We tried the asada and adobada. Probably the best weve had so far. It's very difficult to find good authentic tasting tacos in the U.S. in my opinion. These were so good that we're going to come back. They are family run and they are very nice.“
“Oh my goodness... It is not fair that I didn't have money to buy more. This was legitimately the best taco I've ever had. I want another one! Or three! Or maybe five! I definitely want more. I gotta make sure to hold on to $21 for their combo next week.“
“Was looking to grab some quick takeout mexican and came across this spot right off the 163 and gennesse. Its a food truck semi permanently parked on the American legion parking lot on the corner. Menu is limited, even more so when they told me thier fryer was down. So I ordered 2 tacos and the quesadilla. Total with tax and tip was $20. This better be some dam goood birria for that price. Took a seat while waiting for my food, they have a few bar tops with high chairs scattered under a pop up awning as well as a 2 tables with 4 chairs set up. Not too long later they brought out my food telling me that the hot sauce was also in there. Got home and opened up the bag and was immediately disappointed in the portion sizes. Even the hot sauce they included was underwhelming. It was first time I had gotten hot sauce in baggies like I was buying some drugs. Reminded me of baggies of crack you see on tv and in movies being sold o the streets. Pretty funny until you realize this is no where near enough sauce for a meal. I first tried the taco, with the red hot sauce. The taco was good, good tasting birria and fresh onions and cilantro, and a nice tasting tortilla. The hot sauce didn't even last a single taco. Up next is the quesadilla. This was the highlight of my meal. Cheesy meaty goodness, this was worth the $10 price tag. Plenty of cheese, plenty of meat, great flavor. Overall good food but the portion size is a little off for the price. Definitely ask for more hot sauce. 2 dime bags isn't enough.“

“This is definitely a hidden gem of La mesa. Breakfast burritos are delicious and not greasy. They are so stingy though on hot sauce. Which doesn’t make sense because if you die there, you get access to the entire bottle. But they do not give more than four tiny hot sauces for 1 burrito. One of the tiny hot sauce containers is enough for two bites of a burrito.“

“Mariscos & Birria El Prieto is a go-to establishment in the heart of Main St. Chula Vista. The setting consists of two food trucks, each of which specializes in either Mexican seafood dishes or land and air. The food from both trucks is very tasty. “AWOL leads a double life.In one life, it is a small bar that serves cocktails and tasty Mexican food. Meeting some friends fun and food? AWOL fits the bill. But in its other life, it offers a venue that can host small yet special events like my wedding. As a location, AWOL offers up a good space but what makes it a great destination is Alex Marin (the owner) and his staff. Alex and his crew took the planning of our wedding into their capable hands, turning our dreams of a beautiful wedding, bringing those dreams into reality! If you are searching for a place for a drink with your friends AWOL fits the bill. But if finding that special locale for that very special gathering of family and friends, contact AWOL. You’ll be glad that you did!Parking: Parking at the DMV (after business hours) is free.“

“No atmosphere, but that’s not what this place is about. Just a great hole in the wall with good, tasty Mexican food. For vegetarians you can build a burrito to your specifications and they do one dish which is all vegetarian (don’t know what it’s called but it’s tasty). Give it a shot, just be aware of the surroundings. It’s all in and out there.Vegetarian options: Only a few vegetarian options, mainly by you specifying what you want and build your own. Otherwise only 1 actual veggie dish.Parking: Always some parking spots.“
“I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to! We are already planning a time to catch his truck when we are back in town so we make up for that! Thank you, Randy! We look forward to eating your food again hopefully soon!“

“It is a different concept from the food truck because it has tables with shade and covers in case it is windy so you can enjoy your food in a very pleasant way with a very affordable price and a really wide variety of dishes, mainly seafood, although they also sell meat and Birria, which is a typical Mexican dish, prices range from $3.50 to seafood dishes of more than $80 for several people. “I love this place for lunch time. I am limited on what I can say about the food here. Because I always order the Shrimp and Avocado Salad. I love it. The shrimp has really good seasoning to it. The avocados can be a hit and miss on how they look. But still, they taste good. The Kale is fresh and has a nice crunch to it. I recommend the olive oil on it. It is healthier, and pairs well. I will come back again and review other dishes. Here is the Con portion. The restaurant uses self ordering computers. So you do not pay a person. Unless the line gets long. Often, there is a person to assist you, if there any questions. I can see how this could intimidate people that are not computer literate. Also, there are no servers. So don't expect to get checked on. It's more of a cafeteria style. The restaurant is always clean and you are welcomed when you come in. There is also an outdoor seating option.“

“Went in for a quick bite, the man working was super kind and helpful! Took a bite of what was the best carne asada quesadilla I've ever had, the meat was cooked fresh. The tables were all very clean and the place in general looked very clean and tidy. He cleaned the grill after cooking my quesadilla so that was extremely reassuring. All in all 20/10 I'll definitely be back! (The food is also very cheap or what I consider cheap for SD)“
