“Hospitality "like no other" I'm from Massachusetts & the F.D. clam Chowder.is just like the clam chowder back home.Theyhad one TV with the SUPER BOWL tuned in and I was able to see the last quarter. Thanks again from JamesParking: Plenty Solana Beach Towne Center“
“Rubio's is always amazing. Very taco shop like, not greatest atmosphere for gorgeous sitting but great if you are expecting a taco shop!Kid-friendliness: Outdoor seating is good for kids and indoor isn't bad, either. Not a ton of seating indoors but I've taken my family here a couple times.“
“It has been at least 15 years since we last dined at Red Tracton's Steakhouse. This used to be our special date night haunt or a favorite lunch spot prior to the races. After our long hiatus we were treated by friends to a birthday dinner complete with wine, food, laughter and lots of memories. Service was excellent. Our server was Anna and she had a beautiful personality that contributed to a wonderful evening. We began our feast with Red's famous onion strings. I don't know how many onions sacrificed their lives for this starter but there was enough to feed the restaurant. I moved on to the lobster bisque and my wife the Tracton Salad. The bisque was somewhat as remembered but the Tracton Salad was lacking the signature Green Goddess dressing and for $16 for a small bowl fell short of expectations. For dinner I had the Top Sirloin and my wife the Sandabs. She seemed to enjoy the sandabs but for me the top sirloin was almost too tough to cut through or even chew. And, everything seemed to lack seasoning. That is unusual for a steakhouse as most pride themselves in delivering well seasoned food. For dessert we were offered a few sweets in which I picked their version of the lava cake. It was good and also a nice gesture on behalf of our hostess to comp it. We brought our own wine, corkage fee is $30 a bottle and Anna was nice enough to decant and also strain for sediment. We look forward to returning in the near future but will try other options for our dishes.“
“Our server Rebecca Snowball is one of the “awesomest” humans on the planet. She gave our table excellent service and was down-to-earth, full of joy and passion and made our party extra special. The food is excellent. I brought my own bread and had no problem getting my order prepared on my bread. The tuna melt is divine. The fish tacos are tasty and plentiful, the shrimp linguine was fabulous. I highly recommend (and get Rebecca to take care of you!) Fish Market Del MarParking: Ample parking on side and back“
“Best filet I have ever had in my life and thats my staple when going out. It was fantastic, sat on the deck and it was a beautiful night.... (They do have a $75 baled potato on the menu that was a bit comical to think about, but whatever floats your boat I guess ! )“
“Seasons 52 always goes above and beyond! We have never had a bad meal here! Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the wine that she recommended so much that we ended up buying a bottle to take home with us! The lamb was incredible as well as the Filet & Lobster!“
“A truly stunning restaurant with wonderful service. The mezcal passion fruit drink was great. The food to me was a bit disappointing. For the price of the dishes I feel like there should be more flavor. I got the Salmon and while it was well cooked, I expected more flavor from how the waiters were talking about the food. The carrots in the dish were amazing though. The Peruvian Tuna Crudo was similar. I expected the sauce to have more flavor. The tuna itself was very high quality. The bread however was incredible.“
“A beautiful slice of heaven on the pacific! Views overlooking the ocean were spectacular - we could watch surfers while we dined! The service was fast and servers were kind! All of the food was delicious and presented beautifully! Valet parking was cheaper than parking across the street so it’s the best option!“
“Husband ordered us Two plates and they were good. The Mac salad was cool, reg basic flavor. The poke compared to a lot of other places was nice & fresh. It does have a little park outside that you can eat at , but being surrounded by business buildings it’s a little meh for me. Past that though , poke quality was good.“
“Del Mar has grown up!I lived in Del Mar in the 80s and 90s, to see Del Mar and what we called east Del Mar, north city west today, it's unrecognizable. The cute little beach village 92014 retains the same feel. East of the 5 is now a destination for the bougie trendy crowd. The shopping is fantastic, the theatre's top-notch the food and atmosphere is as good or better then the best zips in the state.Nicks fits in perfectly. The place is classy, clean, and delicious.Top this off with world-class service, and it is a must-visit.“
“Took my group out for a work dinner. They were busy, we made a same day reservation on the patio. Service was top notch. The food selection was very good. Most of us were looking for good seafood options and found it here. The price was pretty reasonable as well, in my opinion, for this level of quality prepared food. We enjoyed it and would go back.“
“I had just proposed to my now fiance and decided to choose this place for lunch right after it happened. I had fish tacos and she had the fish and chips and they were immaculate. Surprised by the lower price, high quality of this place. Staff is incredibly friendly to you and the vibe in here is great. I love their soda options over the regular Coke and Pepsi products. Awesome place. Thanks for an amazing lunch.“
“As all my stars show, I can not but say that all in all and hands down everything was nothing but the best in all areas. The calamari appetizer is not to be missed as it’s the best I ever had.My hats off to the owner and the entire group and yes that goes for the valet parking too. Bravo“
“Delicious food, great service, beautiful evening ambiance. Everything looked so good it was hard to decide so we'll definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu! The mussels were out but the oysters were very good, the shrimp was the best, the tar tar was perfection, the smashed artichoke was the best side dish but guessing from what we saw you couldn't go wrong between any of them. I love gin and the local gin they use for their cocktails was delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to get inside to the first set of tables“
“Host and server were very nice. Street parking only. Get there as early as you can as they fill up fast. Prices were a bit high as it is La Jolla after all. Outside you can smell the sea Lion waste. Food was ok. My fav was the jam for my toast.“
“You cannot get closer to the ocean than here, and what a fantastic place to be. If you can get on the patio near sunset, you are in for an incredible evening. On top of the view the service and food are exceptional. You can never go wrong at PCG!“
“Date night was amazing! The drinks were good and the beet salad and filet mignon were to die for. The sauce that comes with the filet is incredible. My only regret is we didn't order 2 filets. I would sub fries for roasted beets or some other side though.“
“Had the pleasure of dining here with my family on March 3. Wonderful experience. Met chef Aidan at our table and what followed was a family taste sharing experience of many courses which were ordered with the help of our great server Tosh. Can't wait to come again. Great job Aidan!“
“Love SoN's! First time at this location, sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. Service was good and drinks were tasty!! Birria Enchilda's were good with egg on top but birria tacos probably would've been better to not over power the dish. El Mercado Salad with grilled chicken was fantastic if you're wanting something on the lighter side. We'll for sure be back.“
“This was my first time ever having a lobster roll and it did not disappoint!! The food was so good, staff was the friendliest staff I encountered on my stay. Good music, fun atmosphere, amazing service, and unbelievable food! It was honestly the best food I have ever “
“Had a wonderful time here. We were in SD for 5 days and came here twice for dinner because it was so good. All the food was fantastic, great craft beer, and amazing service. Coming from NYC, a lot of the restaurants in the area has very subpar service, but the servers at Sandpiper went above and beyond! Our first night, our server I believe his name was Jake, absolutely made our night. Thank you!“
“Found restaurant by accident because the service at Barbarella was terrible and Piatti was right across the street. We met some friends from Vegas and wanted them to have a great experience. This was definitely the place. The food was excellent and even the manager jumped in as a server. A++. We'll be back!“
“We had dinner here last night. The food was really fresh and good. It was recommended by someone who lives nearby so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We don't live in Carlsbad but we'll return the next time we are here.“
“We used to eat at the Chins in San Marcos back in the mid to late nineties. It was our all time favorite Chinese Restaurant. We are staying here in Del Mar and ordered "to go" at Chins just down the street. Food is still delicious as we ordered Honey Sesame Duo, Beef Chop Suey, and Pork Pot stickers. Pot stickers are still the best anywhere!“
“Excellent dining experience! Enjoyed an authentic taste of Peru made even better by the warm service. Highly recommend the ceviche, yuquitas, quinoa salad (would add protein if ordering as main entree), and the Tempranillo. The chaufa was good, just a bit too much soy sauce for my taste. Look forward to coming back to try more dishes, including the lomo saltado. Cozy patio dining with heat lamps.“
“Polo Steakhouse continues to impress with its attention to detail and culinary excellence. The addition of New York steak to the menu further enhances the dining experience, offering another delectable option for steak enthusiasts. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, the New York steak is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. Before diving into the main course, indulge in their bread appetizer, a delightful assortment of freshly baked bread paired with artisanal spreads. It's the perfect way to whet your appetite and set the stage for the feast to come.As for the cocktails, they are nothing short of extraordinary. Expertly crafted with premium spirits and innovative flavor combinations, each sip is a journey for the senses. Whether you prefer a classic martini or a unique concoction, the cocktail menu at Polo Steakhouse offers something for everyone. From start to finish, Polo Steakhouse delivers an unparalleled dining experience. With exceptional service, a luxurious atmosphere, and a menu that showcases the finest ingredients, it's a culinary destination that never fails to impress.“
“Duke’s La Jolla comes highly recommended! Our entire family had an exceptional experience—we loved everything from the atmosphere and service to the delicious food. We indulged in Poke Tacos, Mac Nut and Herb Crusted Fresh Fish, Cheeseburger Kids meals, and, of course, Hula Pie! Sean, our server, provided excellent service. We're grateful for the wonderful experience and eagerly anticipate dining here again soon.“
“It was a simple and refreshing salad paired with the slice of pizza. We loved the rusty and crunch of the pizza dough. The serving size is almost 2 slices. The salad was really good! The greens are crunchy paired with the right acidity of the dressing.“
“I got the Hand Rolls (comes with 5 rolls... Shrimp, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, Scallops and Yellowtail) and each one was better than the last... super fresh... zero fishy smell... the Scallops was surprisingly my favorite. I've had bad scallops before and wasn't sure what to expect. But its absolutely delicious. They have 5 different sauces to add for dipping, just get them all they are excellent. Service was quick and friendly, I'll be back 100%“
“This place was on my list of places to try at the Windmill Food Hall and I was so excited to finally try! I did check out the other spots but I always came back to the Lobster Lab! I ordered the lobster roll warmed with butter, a lobster bisque and chips. The lobster bisque came with little crostinis. The bisque was delicious! It was super hot temperature wise and took a second to cool. The lobster roll came with little micro greens on top, a side of butter and a lemon. The amount of lobster in the roll was impressive and it was delicious! I was obsessed with the lobster bisque and have dreaming about it for days. It will definitely be my go-to on the next rainy day. I chatted with the chef and he was so nice and gave me some information about Lobster Lab. If you haven't eaten here, it's a must try!“
“After eating here, I am convinced that heaven exists. I could spend a lifetime inside this restaurant and not find a single thing to improve. This is the best poke place I have ever been to in my entire life...top quality everything. There is much more than poke here too. It's clean, it's fast, it's a good price, it's delicious, and it's a lot of food.“
“Another great evening at Bob's which we think is the best steakhouse in San Diego County! Food is always perfectly prepared and portions are large. We always split the delicious blue cheese salad which is served on ice cold plates. I ordered the rib eye which came with a giant glazed carrot and a baked potato. My husband had the rack of lamb with the glazed carrot and a baked sweet potato. We ended up bringing enough home for a second meal1 Unfortunately we felt the service was a bit slower than normal and that is normally not the case. We love this restaurant and highly recommend it.“
“My late mother was from New Orleans. When mom died, so did the wonderful food that I grew up loving. I thought I was through with my southern diet. Well, I was wrong. The Boiling Crab is as close to Moms cooking as I know I'll ever get, and it is almost the same. I just ate two servings of Gumbo. This Gumbo is stuffed with sausage, shrimp, and okra, and served with rice in or on the side. Tabasco sauce is supplied in packets. I used one on the Gumbo, and later, I used one on my ice cream. The broth was the perfect blend of the ingredients, with a taste if it's own, not overpowered by any one of the ingredients. At my age, it is hard to find something to excite me, but I can't wait until dinner tonight. This meal brought back memories, but even if I had just eaten it for the first time, I would rate it number one. The Boiling Crab is not only a restaurant, to me, it is an art gallery. The chefs are artists. The servers appear to enjoy seeing you happy, and management appears to not be willing to let you leave unhappy. If you love seafood, you can't do better than "The Boiling Crab." Thank you for the great food. I'll see you again tonight.Parking: Located in what was once a bank. It sits in a shopping mall. There is parking everywhere. Including in front of the restaurant.“
“Stunning location, popular spot in La Jolla, particularly if you can sit on the rooftop on a beautiful day! The staff were attentive and professional. Food and drinks were served quickly and all was tasty. Multiple levels also offer indoor dining in a more formal atmosphere.“
“Phenomenal seafood, great service (by Jake/Jacob), my only qualm is them not having an espresso martini, on national espresso martini day, because they only do them during the holidays.... PC, we need these martinis year round! Bring them baaaaack!“
“Whenever we are in Carlsbad, we take a short drive here. My husband and boys love fish, so this is a must when we are near. Tonight, we had the chowder, fish platter (comes with two sides), fish sandwiches (keep the lemon aioli), and the fish & chip. Oh, make sure you try their cole slaw, best I've ever had. All very fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the employees are friendly.“
“I would rate the overall experience at 10Excellent food great location, friendly staff, I had the fish taco plate with the best shrimp taco ever and I worked my way through both types of fish breaded fish taco was excellent as well. A friend had the burger and it was excellent. Patti looks better than average, so did the fries. We highly recommend this placePlus, they just expanded the size so now it’s twice as big! Without suffering, the quality of service or food. ServiceAdrienne, no I’m gonna ask her yeah we want to give you a good review but I wanna make sure I had your name right how Was our server, and she was great“
“Went here for restaurant week this week, and it's just as good as I remembered! I got the carpaccio to start and picked on my friend's artichokes. The artichokes were still one of my all time faves! I got the lasagna as my main entree, which was flavorful and cheesy! I got the chocolate panna cotta for dessert, which is probably the best I've had! The service was friendly, and helpful, and patient with us gals catching up for 3.5 hours!! We also got lucky with a beautiful sunset that evening, but regardless of the time, the view is always nice.“
“This is a restaurant week review for lunch. I had the soup and sushi mixed plate. The soup was miso with some veggies - I appreciated that it was not overly salted. The sushi platter didn’t taste amazing, maybe the rice was a little dry. I was a little disappointed in the fish flavor. I love the vibe so may go back and try something else next time.Parking: Easier to park on the second floor instead of down by jimbos.“
“It is order at the counter. Very helpful and friendly service. We got the ahi coastal wrap, ahi taco, and the shrimp taco which was my favorite. Very large tacos. We highly recommend this place. Tacos were about $6-$7 each.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with kid’s menu“
“It was our first time at Lobster West and arrived 4:20pm. Great casual ambiance, seating along the patio.they have generous servings, juicy and flavorful lobster and crab sandwiches. The soup was awesome for the cold weather. We will surely be back for the food. An area to improve for dining customers is the improvement is rest room for the dining guests. Not only you’ll have to walk around the building to get to it, but it’s one cubicle available.“
“Found this place at a perfect location with an amazing view. You can literally watch sunset from anywhere you sit here. The menu is extensive and gives you a lot of options to explore, We got the Ravioli , grilled chicken, Pizza and seafood pasta. Ravioli was really good, cooked perfectly and nice sauce as well. I didnt really like the pizza , there was no taste, the sauce lacked flavor and the cheese was just cold and dry, felt like eating a stale pizza. The pasta was really nice , bare minimum sauce though but boasted the smoked salmon flavor. Grilled chicken again felt stale, was like a rubber, hard to cut and chew as well. The service is impeccable, they take care of your dining experience. All in all, a good spot for a dinner with some amazing view. I wish the food could be a notch up better.“
“This is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a pleasant meal with fresh ingredients and friendly service.Salmon skin salad is a great appetizer as it combines crispy fried salmon skin with vegetables. The special nigiri set was good and the California roll was well made, had a good texture and the ingredients were fresh.I think it will be a nice and enjoyable time to eat with your lover and family. The bathroom is inside, but it is also located near the restaurant bar, so you can use it comfortably.Udon is delicious because it has good broth, is not salty, and is protein.“
“Casual, family style restaurant with a slight emphasis on Mexican style dishes, and of course seafood. Food is very fresh, we had excellent grilled shrimp tonight. Grab a menu and order at the counter, food is brought to your table. Large windows with a nice view West and North towards the ocean, in downtown Cardiff. Not fancy, but have always had great food here. They also have an excellent selection of their own local t-shirts Etc“
“Situated inside The beautiful Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, is Lilian's. Reservations recommended as we dined for lunch it started out quiet but quickly filled with many locals. Although we had reservations, The hostess was apologetically busy and took awhile to get to us. Once seated, The view from our table overlooks the property and loved the inside and outdoor area of this restaurant. The Monterey Salmon was flavorful, gorgeously plated with a delicious sauce. The creamed spinach and brown butter sides paired well with the salmon. The grilled chicken sandwich was not my favorite. The olive tapenade with the in house made olive bread was overpowering and had to scrape some of it off. The sandwich was lacking and next time will order a different menu item. The meal was completed with beignets and was my favorite part of the meal. The beignets were crispy, with a sugar torched crust but soft & moist inside and included 3 different sauces that paired well with the beignets. Absolutely loved it!“
“Love their self order kioskWas able to order right away. Very little wait.Order was ready in about 15 minutesGreat shrimp ?One was too burned but that’s okNice staff. Clean place! The gentleman made sure every body was served quickly. He was on top of his game“
“When we travel to SoCal we make Thursday oyster night an event on our calendar. From 4 to 6 oysters are $1.25 each - a great deal! We always get 2 dozen assorted (which is now the limit) plus a few extra items. The salads are fantastic. I recommend upgrading to the ahi or scallops. The scallops taco is also good. Scallops are not overcooked and rubbery, which I appreciate. I don't recommend anything deep-fried. French fries were barely warm and were not very crisp. Onion rings have too much batter, so we ended up peeling off a lot of uncooked dough. The calamari we ordered one visit had a heavy layer of batter. Wine is a little overpriced for such a casual place. The service is great when not too busy, with very friendly staff. They really only ring up your order at the counter and bring it to your table. We love the atmosphere but usually eat inside so we don't have to listen to traffic. If you focus on fresh seafood you will really enjoy this place.“
“Ordered the breakfast burrito and the california burrito. Large, fresh, flavorful. Great authentic tortillas and fresh salsa. Restaurant was clean and the staff were helpful in pointing out the specialties. They seemed to take pride in their food and their establishment. Will definitely go back.“
“Brunch here was very nice. * The view over looks La Jolla from inside the hotel. The staff provided great service and were very attentive. Blooy Mary's, Mimosa's, and the Salmon Bendict were filling and very good. Overall, it is a cozy and quaint restaurant to “
“Wow! What an incredible gem we found. We read the reviews and decided to try it out. It exceeded expectations. The drinks we had were delicious from organic wine and tropical IPA. Then came our meal. We’ve lived in London and Minneapolis and we know fish and chips as a staple meal but the batter and airiness of this dish was the best we have ever had. The muscles appetizer (our fighter eats as a meal) was one of the best she ever had. Their take on clam chowder was delightful and delicious. Followed by a great dessert for a cherry on top of a great experience. We will be back when we are in the area.Parking: Lots of spots available. No pid parking required.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu had five different options. Lots of options to make your child’s heart sing.“
