“The place was nicely decorated. Love the ambiance. Sebastian was our server and he was awesome. He had a great personality, you can tell he enjoyed what he did and was very knowledable about the wines and the McClain familly. Would definitely go back.“
“We had a family gathering at Solvang for the Spring break week. This was the best restaurant for dinner during our stay. We tried the grilled artichokes - really good; steamed mussels - pretty good. Yet the soup (clam chowder) was the best. Different people ordered different main dishes and we were all happy. But the best part of our dining experience was the service. The wait staff was great, including the bussers. They were very attentive and pleasant. In fact before we even met the wait staff we were impressed with service of the reception staff at the restaurant. There were 6 adults and 5 kids and we were expected to sit at 2 tables. But the front staff made an effort to seat us together and we really appreciated that. Thanks to the great service and good food, the 3 families had a remarkable time. We would for sure return in the future.“
“Jason was an amazing host. Generous with his wine selection. The wines were great and the music playlist helped us enjoy our time. Great conversations and the food was delicious. It’s a very well rounded place, we felt welcomed and we will definitely be back.“
“Honestly it's possibly the best food in the valley. Menu changes monthly and each selection was amazing. Chef and owner always makes the rounds and will even take time to join your table and discuss the food, wine and just life in general. This is a must go destination for any foodie.“
“We stopped by Crawford Family Wines after spotting it as we were walking around the area and boy am I glad that we did! The wine and service here were wonderful! We both tried the mixed flight and while every wine was delicious, the Syrah was my personal favorite! Paul was so friendly and knowledgeable as we made our way through the wine flight. The shop was empty when we entered and he did get quite busy as time went by but he was still able to manage getting us each wine at a great pace! The shop is really cute, with a shared art space so you can gaze on fun prints and pieces as you sip on your wine. We walked away with two bottles, the Viognier and Deux Syrah. If we lived closer, we would definitely visit often but I highly recommend a visit here!“
“We had a great time and I’m glad my first time wine tasting was here at McClain Clellars. This was my girlfriend and I’s first time wine tasting and thank goodness we had Elizabeth help us throughout. She taught us some wine basics and was patient with us as we asked questions. We’ll definitely be coming back here in the future.“
“Went to the tasting room for the first time and was very impressed. Trina assisted us. The service was exceptional and she was so nice. We enjoyed the wine & the food was yummy! I would highly recommend the smashburger. The Pinot Noir was my favorite and the atmosphere was great!“
“Love the owner here. She is absolutely wonderful. She jumped through hoops for my parents to be able to send me wine in Delaware for my 21st birthday. Her prices are insane for the quality of her wines. She should be charging more but I'm praying she never does because it's accessible even for a broke college student like me. Her Sauvi B breakfast wine is out of this world as well as her Porch Pounder. The decoration of the tasting room is whimsical and welcoming and the glasses she serves wine in add to the experience.“
“We were lucky to make it before they closed for the day and had a great experience. Wine was reasonably priced and made to great taste. The inside is nice and roomy and felt like we were apart of the family. Overall great service as well and a great experience. Recommend going if you're in the area!“
“We had a wonderful relaxing 2 for 1 winetasting experience. The wines were good, the cheese plate was EXCELLENT, the spinach and cheese croissant was EXCELLENT, and Anna was very nice with good service. We came to Arrowsmith at the recommendation of the front desk of our hotel. It was only a five minute walk so we headed over around 4 PM on a Saturday of a three-day weekend. The decor is very nice, sort of roaring 20s French art. Nice tables, nice seating areas with leather chairs, nice bar. We had a 2 for 1 wine tasting special, a croissant and the cheeseboard. Our bill was around $66 and change and would've been in the $90s without the special. It was a good bargain and we still would've been happy at full price. We didn't wind up buying any of the wines to go, but we would definitely come here again and maybe stay later for the live music. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 :-)“
“Fantastic wines for an incredibly affordable price. These wines beat out wines twice their price easily. The space is cozy and there's quite a bit of outdoor seating compared to indoor seating. You just can't ask for better wine to price ratio. The wines are just phenomenal from white to red.“
“Stumbled across this gem. We stopped by here on our son’s first road trip. Great place to stop by and kick back. The patrons were very accommodating and it was such a nice experience. They have unique wines and craft beer. Bring in some nearby food on your way in. Cheers!“
“I was lucky to get a spot here when it was completely empty! (They had just opened)All of the wines we tasted were fantastic. The tasting notes provided by the host were spot on. When you perfect something don't change anything. That is what this place has done. The seating area in the back was very cozy. It provided good shade during the sunny morning, but not so much shade it was hard to see (or cold). The only drawback to this place might be that it is not super accessible for handicap people as the back is gravel and the front is a staircase. That said, they may have other entrances that I did not see.“
“Love the wine tasting there. The worker knows her stuff about feliz noche wine. We didn't feel rush like in some other winery's which I liked. The ambiance was good. Music was on point. I will be going back and buying a bottle or two.“
“Carhartt Family Wines is about what they put in the name: "Family" and very good "Wines" that are a labor of love. I went up to the cabin a couple years back from a recommendation and absolutely loved it. I was not currently at a place to do a wine club membership, but Troy was great the entire time with fantastic hospitality and service. I have been following CFW over the years and feel like they are doing some very special things to try and revamp the industry to make wine attractive to younger crowds while maintaining traditional varietal wines that are awesome. The ambiance of the cabin is great for socialization, they usually have good food establishments right outside, and everyone just seems to enjoy working there. I would click the button on a membership if they had a beautiful vineyard for me to escape to each tasting to enjoy an escape from LA, but that could possibly be too good to be true. Great place, a must visit.“
“My husband and I stopped in on the recommendation of a Somm at Brave and Maiden. We were greeted by Brittany, who is super friendly and provided a great experience. Since we were there on a Monday it was quiet and we got some great individualized service. Brittany was wonderful, and the wine was to our liking - if you're a cab fan, their Estate cab is fantastic. The contago was also delicious and the Balance was simply incredible. Brittany was a great guide throughout out tasting and we enjoyed our time with her. Whenever we return to the area, Grimm's Bluff will definitely be on our list to revisit. Hats off to the wine makers!“
“Absolutely an amazing experience! My wife, sister and brother in laws and i had an amazing morning at your location with Dave. Dave is super knowledgeable, friendly and funny as hell. Great job Dave. Best pinot noir i/we have ever had. Rosee was outstanding as well. Super impressed. Highly recommend.“
“Ambiance and space was the best part for sure! Definitely kid friendly and even had a little kid size picnic bench. The wines were good and the service was excellent. Wines were very well explained and pacing was spot on. We will for sure be back. They also have food options but we didn't try them. They looked great though!“
