“Good selection of sandwich choices but the highlight of this deli is definitely their bread. The only small complaint I have is they pre slice their meat (which is not a problem) but this means they will put the sauce and veggies on the sandwich first and as a result, the meat has a tendency to slide out as you can see from my picture.“
“Very nice people! I came to the door well after they were closed and Alex let me in and made me a sandwich! Most other places to eat were closed and I explained that I had worked all day and hadn't eaten.. Alex didn't even blink.. he just said I'll make you a sandwich ..what would you like. He stopped cleaning and doing his closing duties probably 90 minutes after they closed. That is great service! The sandwich was great too!! Lol“
“This place is hidden right next to the gas station and let me tell you...it's worth trying. Ham omelette w/ a Lemon crepe. I also ordered a crème brûlée macaron (not pictured) and it was delicious. Owner took our order and gave us great service. Worth checking out“
“This place is popular as it can get. You come there and just hear what people are raving about to get while you’re in line. Have to come back on Thursday to get the special sandwich ?. The fries are ? as advertised. A variety of drinks from the glass bottle also. The smoked double pastrami is a must try tho, and the meatloaf sandwich hit the spot.“
“Dutch crunch bread is really good, I love bread and this just hits all the right notes. Most of the sandwiches are quite tasty here and can't really go wrong with any. It's all about the bread choice and the Dutch crunch is by far the best“
“My experience here was great, powered by GREAT service. Candice A answered a bunch of first timer questions and was just pleasant in a world of unhappy humans.Grabbed a Left Coast Pastrami with secret sauce and it was what I would expect. Good bread, descent ratio of pastrami, warmed up and delicious.Sat at the bar and enjoyed great conversations and service from Ricky. 12 beers/seltzer on tap. 10 other canned beer/wine. 3 TVs across the restaurant. They try to always have games going worth watching. Sure they would throw your favorite on if you ask. Will definitely return.Maybe you should ask if they have a secret menu.Parking: This is in a busy shopping center. Lots of parking, but can get busy at the right times.Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessible“
“A hidden gem! The store seems to be a mom and pop store with great food! We got the huckleberry club and the cashew chicken. The price is great for the price you pay. The vegetables were the freshest ones ever! The squaw had a nice taste that paired well with the chicken. The pickles in the sandwiches were sooo good; they had a great crunch and acidity. However, it was kinda messy and the bread is a bit small for how many toppings were inside. I will definitely bc coming back!“
“If there's one place we can't get enough of, it's Board & Brew, located just across the street from our office. This sandwich shop has become our absolute favorite spot for a quick, delicious bite. We're here multiple times a week, and honestly, we've tried a good chunk of their menu. Every sandwich and salad we've had has been a hit - we haven't come across a single one we didn't like. Whether it's a quick lunch break or a casual meeting, their food always hits the spot. But it's not just the food that keeps us coming back; it's also the amazing staff. They're always helpful, patient, and super friendly, making every visit a pleasant experience. The vibe inside Board & Brew is just as great – it's the perfect mix of casual and welcoming, ideal for unwinding during a busy workday. So, if you're ever in the area and looking for a great sandwich or a fresh salad, you have to check out Board & Brew!“
“If you are reading this to see what the public thinks and you are craving a sandwich... Stop reading and buy now... they have a delicious seasoning ? and if you have 8 cylinders or more buy 2 ?. And don't even worry about the prices. I already tried everything before publishing and I recommend it 10/10.“
“Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The not so crispy chicken sandwich 10/10. The Italian sandwich is also a 8/10. Service is great. Even though it’s not a sit down restaurant, staff was accommodating, came over and asked if we needed anything, brought over sauces and picked up after us. Genuinely polite and smiling faces. Always adds to a wonderful overall experience.“
“Amazing food, taking a page out of Schlotzky's book with the warm bread and flavor. Service was a bit slow, that's why it's 4-stars. A similar shop (Moe's in Orange) can pull off equal flavor in 1/4 the time. That said, it's worth the wait - but be prepared to wait about 15 minutes post order. I'd definitely go back, but would order in advance. If you like Dutch crunch bread, this is your jam.“
“Sandwich place, fresh and tasty sandwiches made with French baguettesIt was a good experience, ordered roast beef spicy sandwich that comes with a side of jus and the Tom’s Choice sandwichPreorder, have a seat and wait for the pager when it’s doneFriendly staff“
“Fresh food and excellent customer service. Gail is super sweet and makes sure she gets your order right. And she is able to get your food to you timely and it is so delicious! It is a hidden gem. Lunch it tends to get busy but if you're able to eat here it is really REALLY amazing! You won't be disappointed. I am so happy my coworkers and I go here for lunch when we can“
“Had a great experience at Sessions when I stopped by with my picky toddler. The person working the register was helpful and sweet with ordering, and I ended up getting a meatball sandwich for myself and a plain hamburger and fries for my three year old. The meatball sandwich was insaneeeeee. I'm still thinking about it tbh -- it had such a good flavor with lots of fresh rocket and hot red peppers. The ciabatta it came on was soft and not soggy, and the meatballs themselves were stellar. My kid ate the entire burger happily (rare occurrence) and then we were both too full do the fries any justice. The second best part of the experience was the gorgeous ocean view (and people watching as they stroll by the big windows). I'd love to come back and have a beer or two sometime soon!“
“oh my goodness!!!! I came into here one morning after my work interview at ACI, and one of the pilots let me know of this place since i said i was hungry after my interview, i walked over and it genuinely was like stepping into a time machine, the prices are SO amazing im talking about 8-10 dollers for a sandwich chips and arizona included! the owners are so lovely it run by a older married couple and if you're getting done with a flight or hell even if you're hungry and have time to get a sandwich, COME HERE!, had the best convo and personable experience ever! thank you for feeding me! (i had a pastrami and melted cheese,Djonn on a croissant light pickle)“
“Easy to order for pick up or delivery or walk right in and get yourself a delicious sub along with a refreshing drink. Trusted employees always make delicious sandwiches exactly as ordered. My go to is The ménage a Trois is a yummy sweet n spicy chicken sandwich.“
“Absolutely love this gem of a sanwhich shop! The sandwiches are extremely flavorful, creative & there's a good variety. Staff is always polite. These don't taste like every other generic sandwich from other places. We've ordered every sandwich over the years, There isn't one anyone said they wouldn't get again. Fun mix too being inside a convenience store, the kiddos can get a treat too!“
“Basic eatery with good phillies. Lots of options on menu, with classic cheesesteaks, chicken varieties, different variations on fries with toppings, and east coast branded products (chips, and root beer). The interior is decorated with Philadelphia sports memorabilia. Although supporting the North Jersey and NYC sports teams the food is worth the exposure to the Eagles banners. Lol. It's a good eatery, enjoy.“
“I Google search for healthy lunch option in this area. Yes, there were many popped up, but since this place closes at 3pm(I think lunch is served until 2:30), we wanted to go right away.Wow!!! We are so happy we went there. It was very easy to find, and easy to park! All the staff were so kind. The place was very clean and well organized. Surprisingly, it was not loud either.Yes, their Food was wow, too!!! Every bite was so delicious and felt refreshed even after the meal.Thank you for providing a delicious healthy food!We ordered…Lunch(built your own plate):-Seared Salmon w/Citrus Tzatziki,-Spiced Cauliflower w/Sauce Verde,-Autumn Farro Salad.Grains & Greens:-Beets Around The Bush(Fried goat cheese was new for us, but texture was good! And I think it went well with roasted beets and pistachio vinaigrette.) yum!Plus, Boxed Water and Ginger Ale.Our Total $40+ for 2 of us.Parking: Easy to park“
“Can’t miss it!! It’s a cute little place with good menu items (definitely need to try the egg sandwiches). I just wanted a quick snack to share and I got a tteokbokki plate. Not a lot to expect since it’s not a tteokbokki place but still decent. Cute but sadly the photo booth doesn’t work which is a rip but definitely good for the vibes. (Sun was a paid actor?!?)“
“I've been coming to this Mendocino Farms for years and there are many reasons why I come back. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food is delicious and makes me feel good, and the service. The employees here are SO nice. My favorite thing to get is the avocado quinoa salad with chicken. I was here with my mom having a rough day while we waited for news about our dog at the vet, and all 3 employees I interacted with made my day. You never know what someone is going through, and I really appreciated them being so thoughtful and KIND. Normally, I'm in high spirits when I come in, and I want to say thank you for being so kind to us when we were feeling down.“
“A local eatery in which anyone who's a regular can tell you is top notch this deli boasts freshness & quality by using high-grade meats and cheeses such as Boar's Head paired with exquisite baguettes from C'est Si Bon and to-die rye that creates a kind of alchemy that may have only existed in your sandwich dreams. You'd have to come back for either two visits or save your stomach for a big lunch to try some of their classics : the pastrami & the turkey club. Ask for the pastrami grilled with the cheese melted well (you can't go wrong with some extra pastrami as well ) or a turkey club on a baguette with everything and throw some sprouts in there as well! This place is a gem of a find :)“
“It is hands down the best sandwich spot in orange county. I everything from the fresh bread baked daily, down to the in house made cookies and brownies that come with every order.I always enjoy the #1. It's a turkey sandwich on rosemary ciabatta , with avocado, bacon, and a sweet onion relish. I Potato salad, and a brownie. Everything is 13.95 on the menu and they're all 3 course. It is not open on the weekends and closes early. It is a must try for anyone living in Orange County. Check it out and be one of the ones that know“
“For a quick food I loved the peruvian steak sandwich. It was the right amont of spice. A bit small but perfect for a light meal.my wife ordered Avocado Quinta Ensalada and she liked it.We end up cleaning our table. When you tip at a pick up food station you expect the tables are clean at the minimum. All the Napkin boxes were also empty so we had to walk back to register to ask for some.“
“Drove a long way to get here as I couldn’t find a baked potato anywhere else. The mega potato was delicious, although the potato skin wasn’t at all crispy (I prefer baked potatoes with crispy skin). Toppings were good. Steak sandwich had enough meat but was somehow strangely sweet which I very much dislike in savory food. Won’t be ordering that again but would come back for the potatoes if I can’t find a better place. FYI the place is located in a really run down part of town with a lot of homeless people walking around. I wouldn’t bring kids anywhere near here. This is definitely a dive in a seedy area but it’s still worth checking out.“
“This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Tops any fast food chain, price was great 13$ I got a turkey, ham and cheese sandwich on a French roll with fries-10/10. The bread was soft, the meat and toppings high quality and the fries were fresh and crispy. The staff were very nice and everything was fresh to order! I hope I'll get the chance to be in the area again and eat here again! Travelers take note, best sandwich ever!“
“Wonderful Sandwiches.Idk how y’all do it, but always consistent , always delicious, and fast .Super easy to call, and place an order for pick up as well.Great friendly service all the time .And there’s a boba place three businesses down .Highly recommend.Chicken saladEgg saladAndHam turkey , and avo are our go to .“
“Hidden Gem of IrvineFast, Fresh, and Friendly! Sandwiches and Asian home cooking served with a smile. This is a Family Owned Business, ran by the same Asian couple everyday. The woman at the front counter is always happy and sweet, and the man making the food in the back is dedicated to his craft. They offer a large menu with variety for any pallet. I get the Home Cooked Stewed Pork Plate every time, highly recommended! Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Please give them a try!“
“Apparently everyone who grew up in Irvine knew about this place... recommended by two of my OC native coworkers, I was skeptical at first because of its appearance... made the mistake of judging a book by its covers... Ordered the lil pickle sub. It was goooooooddd. Just the right amount of veggies, salami was not salty at all, and the bread was just soft enough. Been back here a couple of times already since, absolutely love it. Don't usually like sandwiches, but I guess this place changed my perception. Highly recommend!“
“Pretty pretty good, for my foray to this place. A friend mentioned that she'd eat at Ikes, up North, so I assumed that they were a NorCal feature. Fortunately, they're here as well, so I thought I'd give it a try.I got the ExGF or some nonsense sandwich, which had a avocado, Gouda, halal chicken (which is why I wanted to try it) and some other stuff. It was very good, quite filling, and I only ate half. I'll certainly be trying the other halal options and probably the vegan ones in the future.“
“Came after recommended by a co-worker. Was looking to a legit Korean food place near my new office in Santa Ana. This is the spot! Got their Bibimbap and it was literally the best I have tasted. My wife who is Korean gets them all the time and I can tell you this place makes the best. I really love how it is family ran and the sweet Korean lady and Korean man work here. I feel like I am in a Korean home. The best part is I got to practice my Korea language with the Korean lady and she chuckled. I hope that was a good sign that I'm learning! Anyway if your in the area please come support this place it will truly be worth it!“
“Although I already have a favorite for Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches this place is a close #2. Their food is tasty and they have my favorite kind of chewy ice. That in itself is reason for a good review. I do like Charley's... yummy...crunch crunch!!“
“The food is good. I've heard people complain about the price, but the place is convenient. If you work in the building like I do. It is very convenient. I just don't appreciate the older Asian women that start speaking in their language, look me up and down. Start talking and laugh. You don't have to know a language, to know that something is being said about.“
“I went with my mom, we were at Kaiser and needed a quick bite in between labs, and didn't want fast food. The sandwiches were great and we had good service. Plenty of seating and parking. Mom and Pop shop, the decor is odd, but that did not matter to us. Would come here again :)“
“I would go here again. The carnivore grilled cheese wasn’t amazing. The grilled onions overpowered the burger. But I think another sandwich has potential. The buffalo fries were good. Some of the cheese wasn’t melted though.I tried some of my friend’s lobster Mac and cheese and it was pretty “
“We spent the first part of spring break in Newport Beach with our teen aged sons and their friends. We had some dietary considerations so wanted to find places to eat that were sensitive to nut allergies and tasty vegan dishes. West Coast Deli had some really nice reviews, and so we tried them and were very happily surprised that it was even better than expected! Manager Josh was super warm and helpful and sensitive to our needs, and the staff made some superbly tasty food! Great sourcing and recipes! All of the sandwiches were outstanding, and our hard to please vegan was very happy! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Go and check them out!Dietary restrictions: great vegan choices!“
“9.0/10 I. love. Ike's Love & Sandwiches!! From my very first bite almost a decade ago in San Francisco to witnessing their expansion over the years, Ike's has consistently delivered on flavor and quality. Even my discerning mom, who has quite the palate, is a fan! To this day Ike's remains to be one of my favorite sandwich shops. I've had: 111. Menage A Trois $14.50 | 957. The Damon Bruce $16.95 | 143. I'll Be Your Valentine $14.14 and 243. I Choo Choo Choose You $14.14 (limited-time February specials) | THC (April Weedmaps 420 Special) $14.20 | 7777. Patrick $15.51 (Spring Special) | Zapp's New Orleans Kettle Style Potato Chips Hotter 'n Hot Jalapeno, Mesquite Bar-B-Que, VooDoo Heat $2.75 each | Complimentary Tootsie Caramel Apple Pop. I can't pick a favorite sandwich although I've gravitated towards Menage A Trois a lot in the past. Zapp's Chips Hotter 'n Hot Jalapeno flavor is my favorite. Let's talk about that Dutch Crunch bread and Dirty Sauce - absolute game-changers! The bread strikes the perfect balance of crispy exterior and soft interior, while the garlic aioli adds a nice kick. Whether it's their thinly sliced chicken, flavorful steak, or juicy turkey, Ike's never disappoints in the meat department. The corned beef was perfectly seasoned and I loved how thinly sliced it was. Even their vegan chicken option is surprisingly delicious, catering to all dietary preferences. The limited-time sandwiches were a flavor explosion! The Jamaican jerk sauce had just the right amount of spice, leaving me craving more. The THC has a good blend of ingredients down to the crunch of the hot cheetos. The Patrick was a standout, my first time having a corned beef sandwich. I'm glad I got the Emerald sauce on the side though because I think it's horseradish which I'm not much of a fan of. You really can't go wrong with any order. Portion sizes are generous - I can barely finish half a sandwich in one sitting, but the leftovers taste just as good days later. My boyfriend, on the other hand, seems to have no trouble devouring his entire meal. Zapp's Chips are amazing, you can't go wrong with Mesquite Bar-B-Que, but the Hotter 'n Hot Jalapeno flavor is still my favorite. They have a nice crunch and give a nice kick, a unique flavor I haven't found in other Jalapeno flavored chips. I just tried Voodoo Heat and it's tasty, it tastes like a mix of vinegar, sweet barbecue and jalapeno. I didn't see anything on the website regarding eco-packaging or sustainability efforts, bummer. Located in a shopping plaza, you'll have no issues finding free parking in the lot. The ambiance is casual. There are a few tables for inside seating but no outside seating. Price has definitely gone up but so has everything in the world. I think for the amount of food you are getting and the quality, the price is right. I had a mixed experience on my recent visit regarding service. I ordered through the mobile app on a Friday around 4 PM. The estimated pick-up time was 20 minutes. I got there 15 minutes after ordering and my order for three sandwiches was ready, no wait! However, I felt the staff could have been more attentive and friendly. As I was walking in, I saw an employee at the front counter, however, they walked to the back of the store although I'm quite sure they saw me. So now I was just standing there with no one helping me for a good minute or two before another employee from the back saw and helped me. They knew right away which one my order was and handed it over. I said thank you and that was it and they walked away. Maybe, it was a one-off. A little more acknowledgment and engagement with customers would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.“
“I come here if not everyday for lunch at least three times a week. Artys is reasonably priced, and the food is AMAZING! I’ve tried their salads, veggie pesto wrap, chicken pesto hot sandwich, and they never fail to impress me with how great they are. The owner is SO friendly and helpful. 10/10, if I could give this place multiple 5 star reviews I would.“
“I am writing this review based on the stellar service, particularly from Kevin. I was so impressed by the person and any business would be beyond lucky to have him. He actually comes off as he genuinely cares, and I think this is increasingly rare in this world -- he is a breath of fresh air and truly blew me away with his service and care. I am visiting and my friend wanted to eat there. I am vegan and the store has little to offer in the way of vegan options. I asked what could be done for someone who is vegan and words can't describe how attentive and caring he was during the whole process. He made suggestions, took notes amidst kind chat and assurances that weren't even asked for, and then at the end, he even double checked, asking the person who cooked it, again without my asking, "You didn't put cheese on it, did you?" These types of people really should be recognized and I hope he is. We go through days full of people trying to get through the hum drum, collect their measly checks and go home. And nobody can blame them -- things are hard these days. But it makes people like Kevin even more of a rarity and I really hope his display of exceptional character is rewarded.“
“Collin at the 17th Street, Costa Mesa/Newport location is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! Always so happy and displays the BEST customer service of any place we frequent. We will always be coming back to this location as long as he is there!!! Promote the kid!!! He is the future!!!“
“If I go to the South Coast Plaza, I'm also going to Philly's Best. They have the best cheesesteak on the West Coast IMO. My go to is the Classic Cheesesteak with raw onions and I get the hot peppers on the side. I also get half onion rings and half fries. The guys that work there are very nice and accommodating. The restaurant is clean. What surprised me today is they switched from Wise potato chips to Herrs. I am a Jersey girl, I was expecting Wise because I wanted the Garlic and Onion chips. I know Herrs is a Philly brand and just as good. They didn't have Peanut Chews either. It wasn't a big deal because I was really there for the cheesesteak which did not disappoint. I know they have a cheesesteak joint in K-Town, which I do visit every now and then because they are closer to me, but they always leave me wishing it was Philly's Best!“
“had no time so i had to takeout my order, but the atmosphere of the cafe was so warm and cute!! got my chicken pesto panini today, and it is one of the best paninis i have ever had in my life ♥️ also i think the pricing is very fair especially considering the consumer price right now, and their customer service is also 10/10. definitely visiting them again soon.“
“Hands down the best subway I've ever been to. Dushan set me up with the best combination of Tuna, Wheat bread, sauces, and veggies. All I knew was that I wanted to eat healthy and that I wanted Tuna; I left the rest to him and he set me up perfectly. Dushan definitely knows what he's doing and he was operating that entire shop by himself. Not only was the sandwich food but he also was a great conversationalist. Looking forward to going her later this week!“
“After shopping for a little bit I was looking for coffee and lunch. This place has outdoor seating and the best Thai salad and a huge portion. Go for the salad! I was debating between a sandwich or salad and got the fries with rosemary. The crunch on the fries hits home! Don't skip it!“
“One of the best old school sandwich shops, it's been there for decades and it's just as good as ever. They make it exactly how you like it, ingredients are top notch, and it's a cool little place to have a sandwich and some chips or potato or macaroni salad.“
“I came into this Subway no more than an hour past opening. My family and I thought we'd stop by right before a day out because it was too hot to cook. I must say the sandwich artist Ravi was very patient with my family which is something we find difficult because of my younger brother's Torrets syndrome, and my daughters physical disabilities. Ravi was not only patient, but she set us up for a great day to kick off Summer! 10/10 would recommend!“
“This place has a super cool owner running it, but also there is a secret popup that's no longer secret JW Hayes BBQ is open at 10:30 am until 4, however they sell out their BBQ way earlier than their hours now. It has to be the best bbq I have ever had next to heritage bbq.The Turkey was succulent, chicken Smokey, brisket tender and juicy, beef ribs fall off the bone Smokey, their brisket beans-to die for-no joke. Everything is fire.“
“Lynda knows sandwiches! The bread is already nice and crunchy but soft inside. The fillings are just the right amount. And that special mayo is the kicker. Love the shredded chicken sandwich. The fried egg sandwich and their sea salt coffee!“
“I was doing errands on Dec 1, 2023 & stopped at Subway for a 12" Meatball Marinara. About 4:30pm. The young man working was extremely polite. The restaurant was clean. My sandwich was HOT. They're Subways closer to my home, but this one is fantastic. Highly recommend. Reserved parking spaces. On corner of Magnolia and Garfield in HB.Parking: Reserved parking for Subway visitors in front of restaurant.“
“Lots of delicious options here for everyone! We love any sandwich on the menu especially on the Dutch crunch roll! so Yummy! We also appreciate that there are salads and gluten free options for our big family! There are a lot of great sandwich shops in the Newport Beach area but The Sandwich Stop has the most options and serves very generous portions!! So glad to have it in CDM!“
