“Had a beautiful dinner at Juliet yesterday! It’s such a charming space with a large patio and interior space. Service was excellent and they do a great job accommodating dietary restrictions. We tried the poisson cru, cauliflower, risotto, classic salad, and sea bream. All were fabulous, bursting with flavors and super well-balanced. We left the meal feeling full but not heavy and already talking about coming back soon!”

“As most of old Hollywood fades away silently, this one is going out with a bang! please consider stopping by, and stepping back into the days of Frank, Dino, and the rest of the Rat Pack..... you won't be disappointed.... if you can't stay, take home a fabulous TV dinner, from the menu.... again, it's not to be missed.... but don't wait too long, sadly it won't last forever, and another treasure will only be matchbooks and memories😞”
“I have to say it's well worth a visit, the staff is very friendly and the beer selection is huge. Drinking it in Taiwan is very different from drinking it live in LA.”

“Without a doubt, the most innovative, captivating, and delectable feast I will ever savor. It transcends mere dining; it becomes an immersive experience, a meditative endeavor, and a voyage to an exotic and unfathomable realm. A visit to Vespertine is more than just a meal; it is an extraordinary event.”

“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.”
“Wonderful experience last night at Akasha. We got humnus. It came with veggies which I’ve never tried before but surprisingly it was delicious.
We also got the wings, pizza and Wagyu burger. And for desert we got the vegan brownie with ice cream. I did try the steak but the cut wasn’t my preferred type.
But I give them 5 stars because the customer service when I didn’t like the cut was top notch.
Our server was kind, gracious and attentive.
The hostesses were courteous and personable. Definitely recommend.”
“I would argue Uzumaki is the best sushi you can get in LA without a reservation. The food is second to none, wait is never too bad and service is always fast and kind. Get the Uzumaki plus and you won’t be disappointed.”
“Elijah and the crew at Luna Grill are wonderful and nice! The food was delicious 😋 I’m definitely coming again! Thank you😊”

“one place uou can't ho wrong. Finally Indian fine cuisine at it's BEST. I highly recommend.”
“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”
“I'm a regular here - the masala dosa is so good I have to have it several times a month! Gobi Manchurian when I want a sweet and sour and savory and spicy carb treat. Get a side of plain yogurt to dip it in and mellow out the spice just right. Delicious smooth chai tea if I'm there for lunch (caffeine). Don't look for ambiance here, especially when they're at capacity. Very noisy with open kitchen blenders, searing dosa on the large griddle and tables close together all amplified by terrible acoustics. I only go at off-peak times.
Vegetarian options: A section of the menu for no garlic no onion.”
“I recently had the pleasure of attending the pro-series cooking course led by Chef Manifa and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I walked into the kitchen, Chef Manifa’s passion for food and dedication to teaching was evident. Her classes were not only highly informative but also immensely enjoyable.
Chef Manifa masterfully blended professionalism with warmth, creating an environment that was both educational and inviting. Her deep knowledge of culinary techniques, combined with her clear and patient teaching style, ensured that everyone in the class (from beginners to seasoned cooks) could follow along and improve their skills.
What truly set this cooking course apart was Chef Manifa’s ability to make complex techniques accessible to everyone. She broke down each step with precision, offering invaluable tips and tricks that only a seasoned expert could provide. Whether it was perfecting a delicate sauce or mastering the art of knife skills, Chef Manifa made each lesson engaging and achievable.
Moreover, Chef Manifa's enthusiasm was infectious. Her storytelling and anecdotes from her culinary journey, and genuine interest in each participant's progress made the class feel personal and enriching. The hands-on approach meant we could immediately apply what we learned, and Chef Manifa was always on hand to offer guidance and encouragement.
The highlight of each class was, of course, the food (lol)!! Under Chef Manifa’s expert instruction, week after week, we created dishes that were not only delicious but beautifully presented. The emphasis on using fresh, high-quality ingredients and understanding the science behind cooking techniques truly elevated the experience.
Chef Manifa delivered an outstanding cooking course that exceeded all my expectations. Her expertise, charisma, and passion for the culinary arts made for an unforgettable experience. I left the course not only with new skills and recipes but with a renewed inspiration for cooking.
I wholeheartedly recommend Chef Manifa's classes to anyone looking to enhance their culinary repertoire while having an incredible time!!!
Thank you so much, Chef Manifa you are the best!!!”

“Date 4/6/2025
I stopped here to get my mom a breakfast biscuit and egg sandwich. My day started out well. God gave me another day. When I arrived at the drive-thru a voice came over the speaker it was clear and precise. Good morning. How can I help you? I placed my order, and she asked all the right questions to up sell you on the food that was offered, which I did not mind. As I approached the window, it swung open, and I saw the woman behind the voice her name is Susie. Susie was very pleasant and respectable throughout the short time I was in the drive-thru. Her customer service skills are excellent. To the management team and owner of this Carl's Jr. You have a winner in Susie. To all of you who will read the post if you like Carl's Jr, and excellent customer service. Go see Susie and let her make your day.
Kid-friendliness: Yes

“Solid food, decent prices, perfectly serviceable seating area. Huge selection of food options, including the classic Mexican tacos / burritos, breakfast options, and some American entrees.
My biggest gripe is that they have a giant sign saying 24/7, and they are definitely not open 24/7. During late hours you'll have to roll the dice on if they're actually open, unless they finally update their hours on here”
“Turn on some dining experience dining area was clean restroom is not open for the public plenty of parking space the food was excellent great customer service my favorite Taco Bell in Los Angeles Culver City
Parking: Plenty of space
Kid-friendliness: Hi seats chairs for children
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible and entrance”
“It’s very different .. they try to get you to use a machine to order .. I don’t like this ..cold . I prefer interacting with a person.. I don’t like the idea of a machine taking a persons employment.. the play area is very small not much to do .. we won’t be here much .sorry😩”
“The food was very good, but they could do better at bringing it out at the same time”
“Sushi was very good and the Omakase is definitely worth the try. Try the dry aged tunas! Wagyu too! None of the dishes were disappointing. 10/10 would come back
Parking: Free parking for the first two hours”
“LOVE this place! Been over a dozen times at this point, it’s our favorite place in Citizens Market. Always fresh & delicious. The rotating specials are always standouts but the regular hand roll sets are really good on their own too (favorite roll is the kampachi). Also, for people complaining about built-in 16% tip, that’s pretty standard around here (not to mention, also mandatory at kazu nori). Friendly, quick service makes it more than worth it.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Surprisingly they have some of the best cookies I've ever had (please bring back the strawberry cookies!) but they don't have it very often and the other pastries are pretty hit or miss. Unfortunately, all of the croissants I've (or others in my group have had) have been sub-par so I've stopped ordering any croissants from them”
“Fantastic coffee. espresso or drip, they know exactly what they are doing”
“Wow! SO fresh (they import their ingredients incl. flour) and it’s a casual drop in spot — hard to find combo in LA. Drizzle the infused olive oil on the prosciutto panini - so good. Kind people working who care about the food and experience. Can’t wait to come back.”
“Came here to try the pastrami burrito and it was amazing! This had tater tots as the potato and it had a fried egg, cheese,
pickled jalapeños & deli mustard.
The sauce that comes with it also goes very well with it. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try their coffee but I would come back again just to try it and another burrito style.
The staff was very nice and the decor was neat. There is seating inside and outside. Parking is mostly metered.”

“Excellent restaurant, we got the prosciutto pizza and the beef short rib pasta. Both were really fantastic.
Pizza has a wonderful crust, and toppings were balanced. Pasta had a really rich sauce with the wonderful braised short ribs.
Staff were super friendly from the moment we were greeted until we left.”

“The tortillas are fresh and homemade! The salsa is outstanding!.. tacos are excellent!.. I particularly like the adobada, the asada, and the crispy tacos de papa… the atmosphere is definitely a little scruffy and casual, but with friendly staff and fair prices.
Parking: Just a few spots in their tricky parking lot, but street parking near by. Or take the bus, it stops right there!”
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”
“Stepping into Cafe Brasil is like taking a little trip. The outside is bursting with plants and flowers – it's like a mini-jungle, and it definitely sets the mood. Inside, it's warm and inviting, with pictures that really give you a feel for Brazil. And those comfy cushions on the chairs? Nice touch!
It's a casual, order-at-the-counter kind of place, which I actually prefer. Quick, easy, and you can pay when you're done.
My absolute favorite is the chicken milaneza. Crispy, cheesy, and just plain delicious. I usually get it grilled, but sometimes I treat myself to the sandwich version. Either way, it's always a winner.
And, of course, the pao de queijo! I'm a huge fan of Brazilian cheese bread, and Cafe Brasil's are tasty. However, I have to be honest, they're not quite as soft and cheesy in the middle as I'm used to. It's a minor thing, but something I've noticed.
Despite that little pao de queijo critique, I keep coming back. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently good. It's a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner, and it's definitely a little piece of Brazil right here in Culver City.”
“I love this place! I order from here all the time and it's always great. They do their Pho Bo Vien a little different than other places. The beef balls are so good though. My only critique is when I order food to go, they dont cool the noodles down enough before putting them in the to-go container so when I get home, they are all stuck together. Still giving 5 stars just cause this is one of my favorite spots in the Westside!”
“This is the best pizza in Los Angeles. The 30 hour fermented dough makes the crust perfect. The selection of toppings is great. The names of the pizzas provide inspiration for an excellent playlist to listen to on your drive to pick them up. Plus Chef Brandon is just so cool. Park in front of Bar & Garden, go in and grab a bottle of wine, pick up your pizza you already ordered on the easy to use website, and eat the best pizza you’ve had. Don’t forget to try the sauce, ranch, and any side dish he has going on that day too.”
“Great place to hear live jazz. Food is great and a really nice vibe to boot! Highly recommend!”

“Nice coffee shop in Culver City with a nice and cozy vibe. Artsy and vibrant they propose both pastries and coffees/teas, in short anything you need to wake up in the morning or to grab a late afternoon cup of joe.
With its bohemian vibe and decoration it’s definitely a trendy but not pretentious place to stop by
Kid-friendliness: Your kids will love their pastries”
“Delicious ice cream. The servings are large - a small scoop feels like 2 scoops. They have a cute outdoor area to sit but the interior is odd. Blaring bright lights in a commercial kitchen environment. Employees are dishing out ice cream in an assembly line fashion. It’s actually a very large shop set up to handle a large volume. Salty caramel truffle is my fave.”
“S&W is a classic American breakfast/lunch cafe in the heart of Culver City right near the Kirk Douglas theatre. The location can't be beat but parking can be an issue(not in my case though as I used the excellent Culver City bus).
The menu has the classics and I liked I could build my own 3 egg omelette stuffing it with jack cheese, onions, corn beef, ground beef, bell peppers. It also came with sourdough bread and hash browns(other options available like pancakes. I spent $20 total but the value is above average it was alot of food.
Note: I really like that they ONLY take cash because it contrasts to the trend I really dislike of places not taking cash.
Recommended.”

“This chicken place offers a unique and delicious take on fried chicken that will leave you wanting more. Their signature chicken boasts a sweet and sour flavor profile reminiscent of Chinese cuisine, and it's absolutely delicious. The honey mustard and buttermilk ranch dipping sauces perfectly complement the chicken and other menu items. Beyond the savory options, the pie and ice cream combo is a must-try – a truly exceptional dessert that ranks among the best I've ever had. The pleasant music creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, further enhancing the dining experience. Overall, this establishment is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking flavorful chicken and a delightful dining experience.”
“Great, family-owned place with delicious, authentic Indian comfort food at reasonable prices (3 entrees, shareable appetizer, Naan, drinks, and 20+% tip for <$85). Servers were attentive, owners greeted everyone, atmosphere was welcoming.”
