“What a lovely establishment! Delicious, spice-rich food with incredible service (shout out to Mr. Nasir for the warm welcome and wonderful customer service!). In all, we had their vegetable samosas, zafron pilau rice, peshwari naan, chicken butter makhani, fish coconut meen molee, saag paneer, and mango lassi for drinks. The samosas: crispy exterior, piping hot and potatoey interior with flavorful spice, coupled with that amazing date and tamarind chutney! No words. True to their name, they don't skimp out on the cardamom, which wonderfully perfumes the zafron rice. Although heads up, make sure to search through the rice and pick out the cardamom pods or you're going to be punched in the face with spice intensity (speaking from experience...). My friend and I love spicy, so we requested just shy of their spiciest level for all three of our main dishes. That peshwari naan really heightened the experience with the curries, with its sweet and nutty filling counterbalancing the spicy and rich curries. As for the curries, creamy and flavorful. The fish was perfectly tender, and man, there's just something about coconut milk that just hits DIFFERENT with curries (in layman's terms, goes very well together). That saag paneer though: there's a reason why Indian cuisine specializes in vegetarian food. That's all I have to say. And the perfect accompaniment to all this rich, spice flavor bombs is an incredibly refreshing, smooth mango lassi. To conclude: just go, you'll enjoy your time there. It's a good amount of food, my friend and I were stuffed and had leftovers to spare. In terms of pricing, I would say that it's on the lower-midrange. We're definitely going back and trying out more from their diverse menu.“

“Great place for a fried chicken sandwich. I always take it to go, but there is outside (covered) seating if you want to eat there. Their menu is posted on the main window, which is really convenient, but I would REALLY like to be able to see the cashier - they have to stoop to see out, making it awkward for both of us.“

“Food wise. I got a breakfast burrito. Tastes a lot like eggs and the fried tots. The chicken is in there but lightly. I got medium heat. I can't handle spice that much but I have to say if you would compare it with other places. This medium is more like a mild if you ask me. Service def get like a 4 or something. The man who helped me was soooo don't bother me. I wanted to ask him about the fries but I just didn't because I felt like he would cut my head off. It's the oldest one that works here. I hope he is not the boss. Cause with a smile you ll let much more chickens sold. It's cheap and it's easy to smile. Anyway, I could see the other people eating the chicken sandwiches which looked delicious. There was a women who ordered three combos with drinks. So I guess she much have spend at least 40$. “I always think Dave's is consistent but I give it four stars because the service isn't always the best and the portion sizes aren't as large as other places. I do love the pickles and the sauce offered along with honey. Always appreciate the consistent hours and delivery of food though!“

“I'm so sad that this place is so far because this place is so good! My husband and I ordered the Saucy Butter Chicken Wings, Paneer Masala Fries, Kahmiri Alla Pasta, Spiced Lamb, and Curry Fun (Chana Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala). Our favorites were the wings, fries, and pasta! Must orders. We also had the Mango Lassi and the Pink Punjabi. We both preferred the Mango Lassi. The Pink Punjabi tasted like milky sprite with a hint of rose. For dessert, we finished with the Rose Doughnuts because the Halwa Ice Cream Sandwich wasn't ready. I think I would've preferred the ice cream sandwich because the doughnuts were way too sweet for me. It is a little pricey than what I'm used to - since I live closer to Little India in Artesia. But it's the pricing for the area its in to be honest. Love that this spot is halal and vegan/gluten-free friendly. There's a public parking lot that didn't have an attendant, but had signs to still pay the amount of $10 in a box. We didn't want to risk it, so we parked in the neighborhood and walked. Our service was fantastic with Rajat. The place was clean and vibrant. Everything came out hot, ready, and pretty!“

“I planned on eating Ralphs sushi and stumbled upon the truck to give it a try. Ended up eating here two days in a row. What a gem! Very generous portions. Fresh food and amazing taste! I’ve never had anything like this. YOU MUST GET THE MANY. My friend and I were licking the plates. It’s like dumplings, but sooooo much better. The pilaf and Shurpa are also delicious and so filling.“

“Great Halal option, great atmosphere. Loved the garlic beef. My only concern and this is shared among all Brazilian restaurants is the variety of meat that gets served to your table. We kept getting the same kind of meat and the high end stuff doesn't make it to your table until you ask for it more than once. We didn't get lamb chops till the end while we were almost full, while kept getting sirloin like 5-6 times! Aside from that the grilled pineapple is amazing.“

“No frills, simple, and homey restaurant with incredibly generous portions of biryani. I ordered the lamb biryani, which is one of their most popular items, along with a samosa and chicken roll to try. There's a service fee for card transactions (I think 5%). The samosas and chicken rolls stay in a small food warmer box near the entrance and is self-service . They call your name to pick up the main entrees at the counter. Chicken roll was really savory and the samosa had a good crunchy fry to it. The complimentary chutneys go well with them. The biryani comes with its own special chutney (sauce?) that brings a much needed brightness (minty-herbaceous) flavor profile to the otherwise salty and filling biryani. It took me 3 days to finish and made for great leftovers. :)“

“Bomb shwarma spot! Highly recommended. The wraps are filled with meat and delicious veggies. The sauces are very tasty as well. The size of the wraps are big and could probably feed two people. They also have dumplings that looked really good which I will probably try next time I'm there. Add jalapeños, it gives the perfect spice to the wrap.“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. “Crown of India has excellent and delicious food, and the serving staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend eating here. They are very accepting of LGBT community. May I suggest their garlic/cheese naan. I don't know of any other Indian restaurant that makes this form of naan. I take all my friends there for a wonderful meal.“

“After a session at the gym, I was fairly hungry and a protein shake wasn't going to do it. So decided to look up a few places and while driving, I saw this at the corner and this place had been on my bookmarks for a while and decided to give this a go instead. Since it's downtown and midday parking is horrendous, but since they're located near an alley, homegirl parked on the red and came in to do a to go order. Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. Would be coming back just to try their plate .“

“Every time we eat there, we are impressed by the overall quality of the food and service. Chef Arango delivers high quality food in every dish. Each item is extremely fresh and well prepared. You can also tell that the family really appreciates every single customer. I can't say enough positive things about them. “Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.“

During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. The employee that took my order ended up bringing the food to my table, which is more than I can say for Dog Haus even though they gave my table a number so the busser knew where to bring it. Ben, an amiable Tunisian, is still the owner and Paul, a very friendly and accommodating fellow, is still the principal server. “The experience exceeded my expectations. I came in just a few minutes before closing, and the chef came out from behind and kindly took my order for chicken kebab. He offered two versions boneless or with bone I chose with bone and after I already placed my order I decided to add on a chicken Koobideh. He said that would be 20 minutes, so I relaxed and enjoyed the smell of my made to order dinner being cooked. When I saw it prepared, I opened it up with the chef and he gave me a big smile with pride. I told my wife I'm bringing home dinner. Everything was delicious, certainly some of the best Indian food I've had close to mid city. Very much appreciate that they serve goat and have dishes on the menu that are outside the standard Indian menu you see at most places in the area. Looking forward to going in person and trying their balti dishes as well as the paya. "Very very spicy" here seems to mean mildly spicy, so if you're a chili head like me best to let them know you mean business. The cilantro mint chutney was probably the best I've ever had-so fresh. “Very solid spicy beef noodle soup! It wasn't really spicy but the broth was super flavorful and the meat and vegetables only added to it. The knife cut noodles were abundant and very nice and chewy. It was a pretty good sized bowl. We also tried the beef roll and it was very, very good. I expected it to be greasier because of the pancake and sweeter because of the hoisin but it wasn't. It was perfectly balanced between meat, pancake and the scallions and cilantro. It even came with some chili oil to make each bite extra tasty.
